Mid Ohio is a good excuse I suppose. Honestly, the track day is not what's keeping me... it's the track tires! I won't have time to swap back to my sport-touring tires. I went to MB4 on sport tires, and learned my lesson! No faster way to cord sport tires, than to ride 500 miles of straight interstate. (Guys remember! If anybody needs some emergency repairs or tires down around TWO, get to Gold City Cycles in Delonega. They treated me great when the could've easily raped me, as I had no other options) | ||

If at all possible, I'll be joining a contingent of 6-8 or more coming from the Maryville/Knoxville area. (Gotta plan for this, the Barber track day on the 1125R, and whatever vacation I can book for the remaining nice months of this year.) Fall in, folks- we're gonna have a LARGE time!    | ||

There are some folks driving down from MA and NY. I'm hoping that my bike could be a stowaway on one of their trucks/trailers.  I stayed at the HVR during MBIV, great place with great owners. Had a wicked pissah time there. I travel for work and have a shitload of skymiles. (is there an actual number for a shitload?) Wouldn't cost me anything to get down there but most importantly I wouldn't have to take any vacation time out of work. These are 2 things I have to keep my eye on now that I have a son on the way. Just seeing if I could possibly pull this off. Hey let's treat this like getting Taos to Daves, get Damnut and his bike to Buelltoberfest!!!!  | ||

IF and that's a BIG IF, the THP has chilled out on the Dragon, we MAY trek up there on Friday the 5th of October. Should the trip happen, it will most likely include a trip on the Cherohola Skyway (read COLD!!!)... Leaving from TWO, side stands up at 9:00!!!!!! | ||

Looks like I'm camping at TWO this time. I decided to forego the comforts of the Holiday Inn in Dahlonega so I can stay longer at the parties... and actually take part in the partying. If anyone sees me face down in the creek... pull my head out of the water. | ||

Paint, I won't know until I get there. We'll be dropping him off, and heading up. Can't give an ETA as Friday traffic can be a bitch. One good thing is, once I make it out of Suburbia we'll be heading the opposite direction as the commuters. We will be there as quick as the TDT* can carry us. *Thousand Dollar Truck |
