Bill, I intend to drop off my bike at your place Monday, I can do it at pretty much any time. If you are not there at the time I drop I will just leave the key somewere, I will give you a call before i make my way over there though. If you want some help loading stuff up Tuesday i am sure i can get over there to help. I just have no clue how we are wanting to make all this happen so if i can be of any help feel free to call me on my cell. Also, I have that entire week off so I am game to leave anytime on Wed. |

Well, if all the bikes are loaded, I would think that Sam, Jeremy, and myself could all ride in one car to Bill's house in the morning since we all live relatively close to each other. I'll be home from my therapy between 9-9:30am. Should we say take off from Bill's around 11am? That should give Sam plenty of time for his beauty sleep. |

Alright then, how about 10am at my house, so we have time to get everything loaded in the truck to get out of town by 11am. Assuming this works for Bill. Also, for Bill and Jeremy, I'd suggest you go to www.millermotorsportspark.com and look at the track map for the full course. Make yourself familiar with the layout, it'll help quite a bit. |

Shelley, you might want to check out some heat shields from Special-Ops. Odie is one of the sponsors of this board, you can find his website in the sponsors section. I know quite a few people that are happy with the product. |

I have the three piece heat shields from Special Ops for my Uly. They work great. I was just on their website yesterday and noticed a new airbox heat shield as well...I guess to keep the air cooler? http://www.specialops-online.com/11401.html |

The problem does exist on the S model, I have the same problem with my Ss. On the R there isn't the exit for air under the legs, so the tail on the R is actually more accommodating to this particular heat issue. I too would recommend the heat shields from Special- Ops. Good luck Shelley |

Buell now makes a side heat deflector set, the set was designed for the Uly, but also fits the Ss very well, I am not sure if the part fits the S model. At 15 bucks, I thought it was worth the buy. Check it out. http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/Produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=2&CategoryID=5&Produ ctID=4139 |

Anyone let me know if you are interested in doing a possible run to Lowman and back saturday or sunday.......... i want to just do an over the pass and back NOT THE LOOP thru garden valley.......If you are interested let me know. You could say i have to get the track corners out of my head before i go insane from not riding..........so time to implant something else in my skull... UPDATE: I have posted a Sat. the 15th Ride leaving from the Chevron by Micron at 11:15am Sharp. On the Boise Riders.Net Board. I will be leaving at that time regardless of who is or isnt there. There is also a group of people going This Thursday to idaho city for a dinner run...leaving the Albertsons at about 6:00-6:30pm if any of my fellow Buell Jockeys are interested. I believe i am going on this ride..I think I am determined to kill my tires...... (Message edited by lazyj on September 12, 2007) (Message edited by lazyj on September 12, 2007) |

Had a great time...its most definatly not the track....but you could say I have gotten alot braver out there on the pass....feels like i did about 1000 squats from all the rapid transitioning on short turns.......and well...the tires got their workout too. |

Good to hear, Jeremy. That's exactly what the track is good for, inspiring confidence and building skills. Sounds like a good time when you come home sore, without crashing to induce it of course. |
