New12R - I'm heading out for a ride later this afternoon. I'll bring the service manual and those gay bags for Nate. You gonna be around? the starter relay is in the mail...Unfortunately, it's not getting here until tomorrow, I had really hoped it would arrive by now. You need anything else? |

Cool, not sure if I'll be able to ride out either, but sure wouldn't mind dropping by to visit. Having had baby duty before, I know how it is, and it was baby duty time that made for some great times, and full of memories. Funny how when our boys were little, we were the only ones around with babies, now it's turned around. It's about time we had the chance to enjoy babies, and be able to give them back! |

Dan, Ryan, and I visited Brian at the Shepherd Center today. The facility rocks. I expected Brian to be stuck in bed, but they'd wheeled him out into a garden area where they were having a cookout. Here are Brian and his girlfriend Heidi:
I brought Brian some quality reading material:
After dogs and burgers, we hung out in the room for a while, and we marveled at the electric winch system built into the ceiling for moving patients in and out of bed.
Brian showed us his surgery scar, but I'm not going to post that picture. The scar looks fine, but the unshaven side of his chest makes it look like he ran into a buffalo instead of a fence. Laughing hurts, but it's a good pain:
Brian stayed really positive the whole time, and we had a great conversation about bunny rabbits after his meds started to kick in. He doesn't know yet how long he'll be at Shepherd, but he vows he'll walk out under his own power. He said he was bored with work anyway, and he looks forward to the challenge. Heidi's bringing him a laptop later this week, and Chez Shepherd has wifi, so we should see him back in the thread within a few days. (Message edited by sanchez on September 16, 2007) |

Sanchez You guys or Heidi were doing a good job of keeping him grinning. Or maybe a lot of it's his positive attitude, but whichever, it's healthy. Grins and giggles with friends are great therapy. Keep up the good work, he'll need it. I've got Brian on my list |

Hey Shredster! And anyone else thinking of seeing Xbullet...Visiting hours are from 4:00 - 9:00pm Mon-Fri. Most of the day on the weekend. Hate to see you get there and they hassle you for not following the rules, then they strip search you and find that bag of weed in your pocket and you end up pregnant with Bubba's baby...Like that, y'know? This is how things go wrong for us "normal" folks. |
