K, Would like to ride but there's things I really should attend to this weekend... It's nearly June and I don't even have tomatoes in yet! How'd you like to post that jpg I sent you from Mosport?

Jason: Is your starter doing nothing? Does it click? The start circuit could be bypassed for testing by jumpering to the solenoid terminal. If you want a hand, let me know.... John |

My starter is pooched. The soleniod is not functioning and I've got oil inside of the starter??? I'm gonna have to do a Knowledge Vault search on that one. |

Just got back from a SuperMotard "practice" session in the....ahem....Bronte GO Train Station parking lot. What a riot. I feel like Aaron Yates.....leaving darkies into, and out of the corners. I needed that, was kinda bummed out after Mosport. As for the 11th at Cayuga, I'm gonna wait for the long term forcast....if good I'll be there! |

Cayuga is really well suited for Buell's. The only place you'll get that Suzuki out of third will be on the front straight and likely between turns one and two. The track is flat with lots of smooth grassy run-off.....hard to get yourself into trouble. The only ugly corner is the last one (11?) before the front straight. There is a concrete wall there with some old tires to break your fall. |

My plans for the Sportbike Rally are: Load my CRF450 and Marc's CR500 into the back of my truck, hook the Jayco trailer up. Marc is going to drive the truck, I'm going to ride my X1. We plan on leaving Burlington around 12:00 Friday afternoon, arriving at Ostler Lake Provincial Park 2-1/2 hours later. The park is just down the road from the Foley Fairgrounds (the camping area for the rally). I'll sign in Friday afternoon, then sample some roads and activities. All day Saturday, supermotard practice and racing (practice starts at 9:00am, racing ends at 5:00pm). Everyone is invited to join us Saturday night for beers and bonfire. We have to leave early Sunday morning, me with trophy in hand....hopefully.

K, the X1 is fixed (sorta), I did ride it up. Non-stop, except for gas. We had some great rides, but the weather turned sour in the afternoon's. My bike is running like a champ again. I guess the ET sensor and the O2 sensor slowly went away and I hadn't notice the difference in engine smoothness. She's back to normal, except oil is still visable under the starter and I've got a #13 trouble code (O2 sensor) from the echlin sensor I purchased from UAP. The check engine light was only on briefly and the bike is running fine??? I'll take it back to Clare's after Cayuga. |
