What do you guys think about the service at Milwaukee H-D? Do they do a decent job on Buells? I work ten minutes away from them so it very convenient. I need to get new tires for my 9R. dave |

Outtie, sorry, I'm in Vermont for the next two weeks. Dave, I think Outrider here had a not so positive experience with them in the past. But I'm not positive. Quite frankly, Hals, with Danny Bilansky as their top Buell mechanic is the only one I trust with my bikes. |

Dave, Used to be a fella named Mike Hillman that worked there years ago and was a pretty big Buell fan. Check to see if he's around. If so you found a good guy. |

I thought Milwaukee HD got rid of the Buell line? Are they back into Buells now? Personally I'd probably go to Suburban Motors if Hal's is out of the way. I work between Milwaukee H-D and Suburban if you need a lift some day, live up in Port, start work by 7am, off at 4:30 M-Th, off at 11:00 on Fridays. If you drop your bike off at Suburban I can pick you up on the way to work, then drop you off back at Suburban on the way home if we can coordinate the schedules. And if I'm on the bike that day I know our jackets don't match so we'd be okay riding two-up. |

Hey Folks, I haven't been on in a while-the store has kept me busy this month with Rentals and all. Just thought I'd drop a line to let you guys know that we have updated the BCTB page on Hal's website. You should take a look! Good new from the sales front too. We have had a number of requests about the 1125R. We also sold our first '08 last Saturday. It was the new white and blue XB12R. The guy who bought it was the son of a high school classmate of mine. I had not seen him in a number of years and all of the sudden he's in our shop. Another Buell convert too. Steve and Toni: When are you coming home! I'm having withdrawals, LOL. Hope you are having a great time. BTW, I finally got new rubber on the Blast for the wife. I should also have the new windshield for it this week. So, I'm hoping to get her out on it soon. Brian: Ouch!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the great work in detailing the floor bikes this week. I know it was tough after your little tumble. Hey Karl: I hope you see this! Your bike is now famous. Jamie Kleppin called me the other day from Texas to ask me if I remembered what we did to your bike. I looked it up and got him the part numbers. Apparently there's a guy at they're shop who wanted to the same gear change that you did. Anyway, how are things? When will you be back in the States for a visit or for good? Let us know so we can plan a get together. Homecoming: I want to give a big thank you to all of you for making this year's Homecoming the best that it has ever been. I hear daily from people who a great time and look forward to doing it again. I just had a real nice letter from Greg C, Matt's dad, about all of the fun that he had. I thought it was great that he felt like one of the gang even though he rides a Harley. How could we not include him since he has done so much for so many others in this group. Thanks Greg for the kind words. Speaking of Homecoming, I'm sure that most of you have seen Buell's plans for the 25th Anniversary Party in 2008. It will be the same weekend as this year and I know that they are planning something special. I hope to work closely with Laura and the gang so we can put on as good a show as this year's, if not better. Again, thanks everyone. See you all at the next meeting. By the way, should we do a cookout like we did last year? Who's up for that? Steve's house was great, do we have any other volunteers? Let me know what you think. Also, any plans on rides remaining this season? I have yet to do the Holy Hill run. Thoughts? See ya. BudC |

"I'm sure that most of you have seen Buell's plans for the 25th Anniversary Party in 2008." Uh, no, is it posted somewhere? I'm flash-impaired and can't get to the Buell site during daytime hours if that's where the news is. Glad the Homecoming stuff went well. We were down in Texas otherwise we'd or I'd have been there for much of it. Looking forward to next year now that I know when it is. |

Hi, Bud! Hi, Everybody! I will be home for a couple of days in mid October. I then fly to Mexico for two weeks. After Mexico, I will return home for a couple of days. I will be in Dubai on or before 03 November. (I have to stay in foreign countries most of the time for Tax Purposes) When I get home in October, I will bring the Ulysses in for a new rear tire and to get the right turn-signal dash-indicator fixed. The Dash-Indicator was intermittent for awhile, before it died completely. I doubt if it fixed itself by sitting for nearly a year. Oh-ya, the BAS Recall needs to be done, too. I will also need to renew my BRAG... Ooops... Uh... HOG Membership and my K-M and Rock River Chapter Memberships. When I get back from Mexico, I will pickup the bike and flog it... Uh, I mean drive it in a spirited manner, for two or three days. Then, I head back to work in Kabul. I will again return home for a few months at the end of June, 2008. At that time, my fun will begin. Too bad that my Warranty will expire shortly before I get home! Who knows, perhaps there will be a new version of the Ulysses that generates nearly 150 Hp by that time. I like air-cooled bikes, but if the radiator is not clunky looking, who can argue with an extra 40-45 Hp and a sixth gear in the tranny? Kawasaki did a nice job, appearance wise, with their radiator on their Buell Inspired 650 Versy. I would expect Buell could top that design. I would also hope that the radiator would be "Crash Worthy". Even though I will be at home for Homecoming 2008, I will be committed to working some serious hours during the July Fourth holiday period. My Homecoming participation will therefore be limited. In any event, have fun and stay safe! Best regards, Karl (Message edited by asdf on July 26, 2007) |

Hi yall. I just moved to Pewaukee from Madison Sunday. Although my job (in Milwaukee) has been diffucult (and eating into my riding time) due to travel and overtime for the past year, it is now getting better. My travel will be limited and overtime is no longer required. I want to know where and when you go riding around town. I am keeping my same cell number... feel free to e-mail me at bluebuell1967@hotmail (blue buell one nine six seven) to connect. I will give my cell out if you e-mail me. Lets go.... Crispy critter. I managed to finagle open the yahoo-mail and got the info. Won't know until I get home if I will make it or not. (I assume that if I do make it I should bring 40pounds of assorted brats and at least 16 cases of assorted soda and a minimum of 19 different condiments for the brats.) |

Sorry to say I didn't/couldn't make it. I'll try and make the next one. If I plan ahead there's a little brat shop near here in Germantown who used to have several dozen varieties of brats in various spice and heat ratings, at least he used to the last time I was in there. I should probably swing by there maybe tomorrow to see if he still does. Hope you all had a good time. Any big plans made or decided on for the rest of the year? I heard someone at Suburban mention something about the Milwaukee Rally, over Labor Day weekend I think, any news on that? I'm not real big on the vendor/tent fests, but sometimes the food and music are good. (I'm not going to talk about the Slimey Crud Run because everytime the last few years that I made plans to ride out there something always came up or got in the way, so this year I'm just going to get up early that particular morning and go for a short 5+ hour ride in that general direction and see if I can make it there once more.) |

OK ... thinking about the fact that I haven't held a garage day this year yet .. other than Matt and I spending every weekend this past winter and spring fixing the S1 ... I don't know that we need a true garage day for wrenching ... so I am thinking of putting on a bike cleaning day ... (that is the technical name -- it will include BS'ing, food drink etc etc etc ... and a little cleaning if we get around to it .. ) What does everybody's schedule look like over the next few weeks ? Steve - I know you guys are gone this weekend, and the following weekend is my party on Saturday ... Matt comes home the end of the month with BOTH of his bikes I think ... So - how does the first weekend in September look ? Thinking that first Saturday ? What does everyone think ? |

Hey Everybody, I'm back!! Had 8 wonderful days in the Tetons and Yellowstone. Sadly, I did not have a bike with me but managed to do a bunch of cool stuff. Anyway, TimBscg, welcome to the group. I'm glad that Steve and I could be of assistance. I look forward to you joining us on some rides this year. It sure is tough getting back into the swing of things after vacation. Just a few quick notes: First, don't forget about Hal's Tent Sale this weekend, I believe it's Friday and Saturday. Second is the Milwaukee Rally coming up Labor Day Weekend. The format is different this year-it's at the Dealerships instead of State Fair Park. There will be lots of great things to do so check out the link on Hal's website. Third is the upcoming Inside Pass at Road America on October 9th. I will be receiving passes for that event but I already have 6 of them spoken for. If you want more information please PM me or call me at the dealership. You all may already know but the demo fleet that will be at the track on 10/09 will be all 1125R's so if you have any interest in test riding this new bike now's the time. I will be headed to the track on Sunday, October 7th for Buell's Inside Track Dealer Training on the 1125R. The class is the 7th and 8th so I will be staying in a hotel in Elkhart Lake both nights so I don't have to make the drive on the 9th. That means that anyone who is loading a bike on my trailer will have to do it Saturday night, 10/06 or Sunday morning, 10/07. I will be hauling the trailer with me on the 7th. Unfortunately, I will not be able to take passengers but at least the bikes will be there bright and early on the 9th. Also, if you need a pass and I don't have any left try logging on to the owners section of Buell.com. I believe there may be a way to get signed up there.. Finally, on a personal note, I am looking for a good deal on a 2-piece leather racing suit. Buell is requiring the use of leathers for the dealer training and all I have is textile. I need a 46 or 48 depending on the make. Used is fine but I would prefer a 2-piece since I don't know how much more track time I will be getting after this season. If anyone has an idea please let me know. Thanks, BudC |
