Ok, I sweated my ass off at 7am this morning getting those wheels off! After some trial and error and a few F-bombs they came off. For you guys in this area, Mountain Adventures can't balance Buell wheels. Value Cycle does and they only charge 20.00 per wheel to mount and balance. Tomorrow morning we will see if I can put it all back together again. |

Shred, thanks a million! The little A/C unit that could is doing well, and has changed the un-dead room, back into the living room! At the very least, we have a spot that is tolerable. We have a guy coming over today, if he can fit us in, to do the repairs. No more in-laws! Woo-Hoo! Seems to me, if one was so inclined, a small business the the HVAC area, would be a pretty safe bet for a successful small business. Everyone I've talked to said that they are pretty much busy year round. So the business is there, and the competition, while there's plenty, there's a lot turned away for the simple fact that our area is growing so much. |

Got it all back together! What should the tire pressure be on Michelin Race DOT's. I was told I should run 29 rear and 32 front. Seems kinda of strange? |

Chi, Why on earth are you running Race dot's???? Besides that yes run the lower pressures. Oh and dont try any funny stuff on those tires for at least 10 miles of good riding or you will learn to slide. |

They were only $100. At that price I can tolerate changing them more often. |

Trust me I will be taking it easy the first few miles since I am riding a bike that I actually worked on myself! Kinda scarey! |

That is what I thought. I did that for a while but decided getting more miles was worth the extra money. 1500 miles out of a set of tires was getting to be too much considering I was doing that every month or so. Besides that the street tires deliver better results on the street anyway, they last longer, grip faster and are much more predictable at speed. The race tires will slip before they grip under stress, they are supposed to do that but it will pucker you up if you are not expecting it. |

From Superbikeplanet dot com: Dunlop Makes It Rain tests rain tires today by evan williams Thursday, August 09, 2007 After two days of testing at Road Atlanta, Dunlop has a wet weather tire test underway at their facility near Huntsville Alabama today. All three factory Suzuki riders (Mat Mladin, Ben Spies, and Tommy Hayden) are taking part on a specialty course where wet weather is engineered with a sprinkler system. ENDS I need to find this Dunlop test facility and see if I can get some pictars! (Message edited by ratyson on August 09, 2007) |

Well after about $500 I don't really have, and two different AC companies, it turns out the leak I found that no one else seemed to be able to find, was the only leak the A/C had, that my friends is the good news. The bad, the coil is toast. $1200+ is what we're looking at for repair, and that's after my cheap ass has shopped around, and a crash course in HVAC (still don't know a lot). Ace&A wanted $3800! Oh well it looks like the Hare family will just have to endure 'til Fall. We'll be buying the biggest window unit we can afford next week. Until then, we'll just have to do the best we can with what we've got. We have been worse off, when Ann was 8 months along with Cody we lived in a little Mill House in NC that had no central anything. It too was a record Summer heat. We made it, it was hot, but we made it. So, here's to a quick end to this oppressive heat! |

Hey Glitch, window units ain't so bad! Hell, I've been using them for nearly 4 years now! Yes, they are not the best, but, they do work! Especially in this kind of heat. If you need anything let me know. Smokescreen |

We had so much fun we are going again tomorrow. So far its Deadduck, Clint, myself and maybe Brian if we can pull him away from the farm. Who else is in? |

Glitch, George Calloway in Lawrencville is a handy man certified in HVAC and was the maintenance guy at the apartment complex we're renovating. His number is 678-851-9194. He's a real good guy, his business' name is 'Get It Done'. Tell him Dan from SATCO sent you. I'm betting he can adjust you cheaper than the other estimates you've gotten. He gives free estimates too. |
