The 4th Annual Biker Boyz Weekend is July 20-22, Friday thru Sunday. Looks like they are going to have a stunt show, builders showcase, casino gaming, bikini contest, and great parties. It is at the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino http://www.bikerboyzweekend.com/ Contact number: 918-282-9723 I figure I'll go, I couldn't last year because I was on duty. |

Osage Drive and 36th St North I think, at the end of the L.L. Tisdale Expressway. |

Made it by the Buell factory yesterday. They don't offer public tours; but in the lobby they have the 750RW race bike and a new 20008 ULY on display. The gal on the front desk told me they had over 400 people show up for the home coming The factory is made up of two buildings with an estimated total 150,000 sq. ft. I would guess they have around 150 workers at the plant made up of both office and floor workers. There were about 15 bikes parked in the lot; most Buells (some 08 models, you can tell by the right side changes to the engine) but also some other makes; not a 1125R to be found. I asked about the 1125R and a due date in dealers showroom; all I got was it would be a few months at best. I get the feeling talking to the 3-4 people I met that Buell is made up of a very motivated group of people. East Troy WI is a small town of 3500. |

I'm not riding but I'm gonna come hang out. Budget just wouldn't allow it, too bad. Brian, what time are you leaving tomorrow to go up there? I rode back to the city tonight and the headshake is pretty bad, I was hoping you might be able to help me re-balance the front tire if you have the time. If not then I'll schedule an appointment for sometime next week |

I am going to be coming out to watch on Saturday as well, probably drag a few other guys to do the same. Couldn't swing all the gear. But, I have the bug, probably worse after going out to watch. There is a motorcycle swap meet at Claremore Expo on Sunday, plus I was entertaining the idea of hitting the Oklahoma Super Bikers races at the JRP track on Sunday. |

By the way, the Biker Boyz weekend, on the 22, they will be having a US GP watch party at the casino. Just so you know. |

I'm running late (had to work till 4am last nite) but I will bring the Pitbulls and balancer if you want to do it there. |

Activity and longevity here warrants moving this fine board's link towards the top of the list on the main Storm Fronts page. If y'all have any requests for information that you'd like presented atop the page here, please let me know. Just a heads-up so you don't miss seeing the link when it moves to the top with all the other more active Storm Fronts boards. Thanks and ride, lean, smile, live! Blake |

Yes...it was a great day and I had a lot of fun. My motor however, is going to need a little attention. The last session it did not sound very good. Hopefully it isn't too bad (expensive!). (Message edited by dtx on July 14, 2007) |

Like I said, cut apart the oil filter. That will be a strong clue. |

Joe, How did you like your first track day at Hallett? I am pleased to hear there were hardly any wrecks. Usually at least 10 people wad their bike up. |

I had a GREAT time. I was kinda miffed at Josh for a little bit because I was trying to get into the street group and he kept telling me to wait until I was comfy, and I can get my times below 1:50. I tried to explain to him that I couldn't get around the SLOOOOOOOOW riders. I was able to shave 5 seconds off my times the first session that I changed to street. I want to go back. I can't really afford to go all the time especially with a new job that works weekends. The money may be there, but the vacation time may not. I actually went off the track my last session (that I rode in). Coming around the last turn, I started to push high, immediately corrected myself correctly, but looked at where I WOULD have gone, then went that way. I said "Crap", lightly hit the rear brake, it slid, I let off, I pressed them again, it slid again, I let off, slowed enough, never placing a foot down or taking them off the pegs, and was able to continue on. When I got back on the track, the starter chick hadn't seen anything so I continued on and had my best lap of the day at 1:44:something. |

Don't know if anyone rides the roads down south of I-40, but if anyone heads down 82 off of 31 going to 270, don't try it, the road got washed out during those rains, it's closed. |
