Paul, I must work Friday till 4 pm. Where in your route would be Friday night? I can try and catch up with the crew for ride around the lake via Interstate to your exit/hotel and take all day Saturday/Sunday as you laid out. I would so enjoy doing that circle again. let me know your thoughts Keith |

Keith, Call me, maybe we can work on something, but it may involve late night riding. No way to get the Friday off? Who else is interested? 815 592-3822 Tim, I've booked a room there for Fri. and Sat. anyone else need space for Homecomming? Looks like they still have ample space. Paul Anybody looking for a next to new heated vest? Widder, size 44 about a large. Looks like I may have put on a couple of pounds. $75, half what a new one runs. |

Keith & Paul- It looks like I may need to ride out later on Friday too if I do the around the lake ride. Thursday June 7 I'm doing the track day at Road America and I'll probably spend the night in Elkhart Lake, WI. Won't be back in time to start with the main group. Anyone else interested in leaving later on Friday if me and Keith do? John |

I'd like to give the around the lake ride a chance too, however I believe I'm working that weekend. My buddy and I tried it last year and got up to Muskegon, MI when we stopped for the night. Until the next morning when I got a call on my cell phone saying..."YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE AT WORK!" Erghh a ruined trip for me, but still pretty fun, really cool roads, fun ride. I had 12 WARBIRDZ Racing T-Shirts made, they should be done by June 1st for the race. I'll also have some the next meeting; most are L, a few M,XL's. Grey with Blue Stencil lettering with the United States WWII National Insignia on the front with "81" on the backs. 5.00 |

As for the above posting not to be confusing, I meant the T-Shirts should be done and ready for the party on June 1st, the race is Saturday June 2nd. |

Who's doing what for the race on Saturday?? I think one option is to get together at Curt R's before the race and then head out from there. Curt? If I show up will there be food for me? If its not raining I'm going to the race. All can post here or call me 312 593 6441. |

The Curse of the One Lap Wonder Continues... Thank You for all of you that came out to the pre-race party, and the race itself, I did manage to have fun however circumstances outside of my control led to an early evening last night. The car was ready to go, the stage was set for a 20 lap figure-8 race and I was pumped. For reasons unknown the promoter opted not to dry down the track at all causing a resulting dust cloud that none of the drivers could see through, I came across the intersection for the 2nd time and I T-Boned another car causing my steering to lock up. Following a few other bad crashes they decided to red-flag the race and wet the track down to eliminate the dust...to late for me. The good news is that the car is repairable and will return for the August 4th Masters of Disaster. I will be at the next meeting hopefully with some photos and hopefully a DVD of the race. Latter Kurtis |

Kurt- Glad to hear you're okay and that you're going to race again. I was planning on riding to the race but twisted up my ankle at softball practice Sunday afternoon and I decided to stay in and rest it. Looking forward to Aug 4th...... |

Cool shots Tim, did you leave one of our club's calling cards on the dash? I won't be around this Thursday as I'll be at the track day at Road America. Have a great meeting and I'll talk to you all soon. John (Message edited by johnnyvince on June 06, 2007) (Message edited by johnnyvince on June 06, 2007) |

I won't be at the meeting either. Zac and I got a chance to sneak in at RA, too. Maybe we'll hold a WCC North meeting there. I'll be sure to put a WCC business card on Erik's bike if he's there. Hope we don't get rained out. Tim, if you send me the receipt for the t-shirts, I'll send you a check. Frank |

Road America was a blast. Great track. Wide and fast. Dry all day and I think we got in 7 or 8 sessions. I ran out of gas sputtering into the pit area on my last session, had to scrounge for a cup of fuel to make it to the gas station after. We hung out with Frank and Zak (6 from Chicago altogether), also with Mohawk Matt and his dad Greg from Minnesota, who housed us in their enclosed trailer at the track. We were all in the same hotel too and watched "The Doctor, The Tornado and the Kentucky Kid" (Laguna Seca DVD) on the big screen TV in the lobby. Another Buell sponsored day at Road America in early October, thinking about going back. Also: I'll be drag racing the evening of Thursday June 21st. Mark your calendars if you want to come along to race or watch. I've learned that there will be a drag racing event July 5th as part of homecoming celebration and June 21 will be my only chance to practice for it. I'll be working on my bike over the next month as I want to break into 11 seconds for the Homecoming drag race. More on this later....... |

Alright --- doing some planning for the Galena/Wildcat Mountain Run in July -- couple of questions . . . . . * presently scheduled 27,28,29 July -- due to unforeseen circusdancers, I'll not be able to make that weekend . . . . which would be better -- 20, 21, 22 July, or 3, 4, 5 August * second question -- camping or cheap motelling? * third question -- who's in? * fourth question -- paper, or plastic? |

However I'll get out in time to get to the race I just won't be able to ride out with the group for IL Harley. I'll ride to the race though. Latter, Kurtis |
