Swede, I am hoping that my bike will be done today, however i doubt it, parts werent supposed to be in till today. Even if its not, i am gonna try and four wheel it to gators to meet up with all of you (full of jealousy of course) for breakfast. If you dont see me, its cause my band has a show tonight up in No Po and those can lead to late nights. I really hope this weekly ride takes off, i look forward to it |

Update, The reason I'm iffy on making it or not is my four year old has been having some really restless nights all week and since I'm his favorite parent right now, I'm operating on an average of about 4-5 hours of sleep a night. This has left me feeling ... I'll keep you posted or call Sat. morning. |

Graham, what instrument do you play? I played in a band when I was in college. I really sucked and it was more or less just a garage band (storage shed). We kept getting kicked out every where we went. Paul, I will be there right at 7:00 to take advantage of the breakfast. If they are not open at 7:00 we may have to pound on the door. They are not real punctual with getting the door unlocked (form my last visit experience). |

Aron, I play bass for a really loud thrash band called "The Grip" sounds like your band has an extreme parallel to ours! hope you all had a great ride today! |

Just wanted to thank Aron (Xbswede) and Paul (Borrowedbike) for a great ride today. It was nice to finally have a couple faces to go with the names. Also, I think I forgot to thank Paul for breakfast. Wasn't expecting him to pick up the tab this morning. Thanks Paul. Guess I owe you one. Now if I can just get him to not drink all the coffee. It was nice to see some of the roads south of Vancouver, too. I'll have to get up on St. Helens and see how the roads are doing so I can show you guys some of my home turf. Glad you made it to your game Aron. Paul drug me around for quite a while and now my ass is pretty sore. Got in over 260 miles by the time I got home. I'm not used to that much riding in that short of time anymore, but it was well worth it. Hope to see you guys again soon and hopefully get to meet some others, too. |

Graham, I would love to hear it sometime. I played lead guitar. Our style was influenced by 80's Metallica, Megadeth and Suicidal Tendencies. Jim, great to hear you had a good time. I wish I could have stayed for the duration. Count me in for a St.Helens ride. Just let me know when. Paul, I may have forgot to thank you as well. Thank you. Oh and don't hog the Coffee..... By the way I may make the clinic tomorrow morning. 9:00 am right? |

Ride your pace guys. Lost another rider on a turn I've take 5 times this spring... Use your heads. Missed a good Ride on Sunday. I'm really liking the Doc Wong thing. Don't think I'll make July 1 though, I'll be on vacation, sans bike |

Man I hate hearing that. Was it today or at the Doc Wong clinic last weekend? And, not to sound morbid, but what exactly do you mean by "Lost another rider?" |

To clarify. I wasn't with him. It was Monday in the west hills, about 1/2 West of cornell on Thompson road. Guy on an Aprilla hit an embankment and died at the scene. I rode by the scene yesterday evening and paid my respects so to speak, looks like he just missed the turn. Didnt know him, probably never met him, but he was still another one of us, and there have been too many get off's with very bad results over the last couple weeks. Ride your pace... |

I saw that story on the news. The guy was young and it was his wedding anniversary. It's a real shame. I live about 1 mile west of Skyline off of Thompson. I take that road into work every morning, many times on the bike. I had a guy/girl pass me like I was standing still on that particular stretch between Skyline and Cornell. It's a nice short twisty, but I definitely don't think it's a place to test limits. I've also seen a fair amount of gravel kicked onto the road from driveways. -Mike |

not that it really matters whether he was young or old, i did see that story on the news and i coulda sworn that they said he was 43 and it was his 15th wedding anniversary. Not to say this guy wasnt, from what I hear, its likely to get "surprised" by other motorists, but BB has it right, we should all ride within our limits so we can keep on riding. |

We had a nice ride around Sauvie island this morning. To bad it started to sprinkle cutting our ride short. We will have to try that loop again on a dryer day. |
