Howdy Blak_j. The Pizza Ranch is alive and well in Hudsonville. I've only been there once. The food was great! It's only about 50 miles from me on the "back" roads. Peace Milo |

Glad to hear that Janet's doing better, Milo. I'm in Kazoo as well. Though I usually don't leave the office for lunch, I ride to work every chance I get, so count me in. Blak_j, sweet S1W! Is the white powdercoat hard or easy to keep clean? All I know is, the wheels on my Firebolt have too many nooks and crannies & brake pad powder sticks like glue. |

The white on the whole bike is hard to clean but it is a labor of love. I have grown to love riding the new baby. Sorry to correct you Dave but it is an X1w not an S1w |

Sorry to make you correct me- I know better! It pays to not be in a hurry. Speaking of which, here's how I started the day: my 3rd annual garage/sidestand drop! I'll be shopping for the usual signal and mirror, but this time I can add the %^&^ shifter. Nothing like not being able to ride in the best weather of the year!!! Best part is, it had sat there idling long enough for me to walk away, grab my helmet, open the bag of earplugs, put in the earplugs and WAIT FOR THEM TO EXPAND (3M 1100s, very stiff) put on the helmet and walk toward the bike, stop to put on my gloves... you get the picture, I'm sure. Anyone know if some XB owner has found a new, stiffer sidestand spring someplace? Purely for off-road and display purposes, of course! I'll be searching the board for the topic, that's for &*%^ sure. Bright side: the LSL peg and American Sport Bike drop base worked exactly as advertised. I have a scuffed end, that's it. Of course, I haven't stood on it to ride over any tracks yet... |

I warned you about that white.. but dang does it shine when clean.. just spray it down w/ Simplegreen and hose her down. gets the grit off w/o harming the paint. the wheels are not powdercoating they are painted.. which is odd to me.. but ce la vis |

Ah, OK that explains that. Hey if any of you want to meet up. Bikes / cages, whatever. All of my non-working hours are spent at my home. Making sure that Janet heals well. Thats not to say I don't have a beer and listen to the Tigers. As I'm doing now. Ping me private, and I'll shoot ya some directions. Peace Milo (Message edited by milo_h on June 26, 2007) |

Well, the ride to Copper Harbor on the S2 was great. I was riding with my cousin on his BMW and it was a lot of fun when we filled up with gas and he always took a gallon more than I did, he said I wasn`t riding a motorcycle it was a moped(running at 70mph I got 60-63mpg). I am used to riding the S1 and get no where`s near that kind of mileage with it but then I usually ride it more aggressively than I do the S2 so that has to account for some of it. We had great weather, high 60`s to low 70`s and no rain for 4 days. The down side is it ended all too soon. Last Saturday morning I decided to go to Lima Ohio to the flat track races, left here about 1:30pm, got to Lima around 5:30. KK motorcycle supply put on a dealers only free eat tent so I helped myself to that before the races. Saw some great racing, went back to the KK tent after the races and chowed down before heading home. Left Lima at 11.45 and arrived home at 4:30 and it was 58 degrees so there was no danger of falling asleep on the bike. You guys in Kalamazoo have really got to do something about the road construction on 94 it sucks.LOL So I have snuck in 2 decent rides so far this summer Ed |

Can't make it - got a family party on the east side of the state, I need to work on my Firebolt (hydraulic clutch kit, new rear tire) AND, I'm gonna try to find time to finish rebuilding the spare rack of carbs for my '78 Goldwing (won't idle for long under 2000 with the ones on it now, probably gummed.) Seems like there's something going on every weekend... |

Hey look! Thursday and Friday, anybody want to ride? I am taking the Little Kid north, no particular route other than the Tunnel of Trees to the Bridge, and back through Aspen Alley and that area on Friday. Anybody in? I have a couch available at my house Wednesday night, for an early start on Thursday. I have a friend in Hillman with floor space for Thursday night. Open to all and any options or variables. The UP really doesn't have any roads that are Buellish until Munising or Norway, so I would only cross the bridge to give the Little Kid the opportunity to say he did it. |
