Alex- First of all, how's the love life? I haven't seen any posts for awhile and was just curious. 2nd, my wife just took a full-time job so my schedule next summer is changing. Were you and Ferris planning another trip? I have to work around going out to Colorado and a Scout week up in Minnesota but I might be able to get away for somethig else. We have one more club meeting next week so you should try and make it. I think that it's going to be at Ralph's house if he gets his remodeling done. | ||

Mike, Love life is good, if love is work and school. I have been swamped lately, just got done with a 3 weekend gig in Florida for some dealer training and am working on two masters classes right now, as well as working on the house. So... Been a busy year. There might be someone too... Ferris and I were talking a bit ago, not exactly sure what our plans are going to be though. He's working on moving, and I don't think has found a final landing pad yet. That will probably be the deciding factor, where he and D end up. Let me know when your last meeting is, I'll try to make it. I have a volleyball league on Tuesdays, but might be able to skip a game. Alex | ||

Axel- (I changed your name to a more bike appropriate one). I haven't heard from Ralph yet about next Tuesday's meeting if it is going to be at Beck's or his house. It's supposed to be 53 so I might get that extra ride to a meeting bonus that I need since I skipped the August meeting to go to Colorado. Not much of a decision there. If you can't make it maybe the wife & I can come over to Dubuque for a Christmas thing and take you out for dinner. Mike | ||

Greetings and Happy Holidays, Due to a computer glitch I didn’t get a notice out in November so I hope no one was offended! The December meeting is Tuesday, the 19th and we’re switching locations back to the old Sports Page which has recently reopened under new management and is now called, “L.J.’s Neighborhood Bar & Grille, 3550 Kimball Avenue, in the little strip mall just north of McDonald’s and Subway. As some of you know BRAG, Buell Riders Adventure Group has been officially disbanded by Buell Motor Company and any group using the BRAG name must change their name by the first of the year without BRAG in it. For our group that’s not a big deal but we do need to come up with a name, I guess. So kick around some ideas! Below is the schedule I just received on the track days and schools hosted by TrackAddix. The Memorial Day weekend looks like it could work for several because of a Saturday track day on a long weekend. I’m planning on racing there on Sunday if anyone would want to stay over to watch. I haven’t received anything concerning track days or schools at Blackhawk yet but I’ll get it out to everyone as soon as I do. Did you notice an event at Newton’s Iowa Speedway? It’s going to be a small track, 1.3 miles, the last I heard but it’s real close to home!! Greetings all, I hope everyone had a happy and restful holiday. With the January meeting coming up fast, next Tuesday, I thought I’d better get this note out to everyone. I’m inviting everyone to West High for our second annual “Motorcycle Movie Night” in the West High Little Theater. Many of you came last year and watched “Faster”, this year we’ll check out another great feature from the same producers, “The Doctor, The Tornado and The Kentucky Kid” which chronicles the 2005 MotoGp return to the U.S. at Laguna Seca. I’ll pick up a party sub from SubCity and some drinks, if everyone will chip in $3.00 each that would be great and help defray costs. We’ll meet in the cafeteria at 6:00 for grub, then start the movie at 6:45. The movie is 104 minutes. Park in the student lot off Baltimore and come in the main entrance, look for the big glass doors just past the large planters. Walk in, turn right and go about 30’, the cafeteria is on your left. We cannot take food or drinks into the Little Theater so if you’re not going to eat meet us there. I’d appreciate an R.S.V.P. on how many are coming to eat so I pick up enough food. This would be a good event to invite friends to, the more the merrier!! See you Tuesday!! Ralph | ||

Cochise, Thanks for the heads up!! That's a 600 mile trip from here to Tulsa and it would be a cool event to be a part of. I personally can't attend as I have a graduate credit class going through that weekend but I will pass this info on the the group. Right now the Arkansas trip is VERY tentitive mainly based on whether there is anyone else who can go then other than me. I'll keep you posted, though, it would be great riding with you again. | ||

I am so freaking excited I can hardly hold it in. I was browsing the Iowa International Raceway YSR website track schedule, and I saw that the Iowa Speedway is having MOTO-ST this year! I know it is a little early to plan a ride, but I am definitely going to be there with a pit pass. It will be my first live race experience, so I am super excited about it. Anyone else have plans to attend? Anyone know any good roads from Cedar Rapids to Newton? | ||

Coolice, I'd love to take a shot at Moto-ST, especially at Road America or Iowa Speedway. You have to have raced for at least one year to be eligible to enter, so next year I can compete. Some of the other I.F.M. guys are getting licensed this year and if they get into a few races, the Iowa Farm Mafia could put a limited effort together next year. Be afraid, be very afraid!!  | ||
