Bill, I'm cool with whatever, whenever. Just let me know. The weather should be better on Sat. if it matters. Is High Desert participating in this one? They haven't in the past with the bags, only the hats and such. |

The Boise Valley Riders Season Opener ride is staging at Meridian Shell at 10:00AM Saturday the 14th as well. They are riding to Swan Falls then out through Marsing, Melba, etc. Anyway, if you guys are staging at the same time then I'd be happy to introduce the BAB folks to the BVR Crew even if you're going on your own ride. |

Chad, the meridian Shell is at Overland & Meridian/Kuna rd. Mike, I have only seen the Buell bag in the magazine ads. I don't care if I even want one It's free with a demo ride! (wanted to hot lap that new TT anyway). Sam, anyone else up for this Sat. ride? Hey Jason, are you on lockdown or what? |

Check out the weather! Let's see some new faces this Sunday. Where are all you Buellers hiding? This will be Mike & sams last group ride before hitting the track in Utah next Wednesday. Remember all levels of riders are welcome and anything on 2 wheels. (with a motor) |

This morning, just before getting to the parking lots at HP, my clutch cable broke at the swage. The cable strands where all broke right where the cable enters the swage. I searched all of BadWeb for "clutch cable" and found lots of folks experiencing the same issue on there XB12's. THe only solution is to switch to a juice clutch or inspect and lubricate the cable and swage very regularly. My 1000 mile service was done by HDHD and I haven't had service since then and I'm at 6300 miles since last september. It seems that 5K miles is a little new to be breaking cables huh? Any body out there have any thoughts or heard about this themselves? By the way, I need to get caught up on my scheduled services...Bill, do you think I could handle my own service at 6K miles? What does it involve. I guess I need to buy the service manual anyway. Any body have Royce work on their Buells yet...I've heard good things about him. He does offer a discount to BVR members. Any thoughts? Thanks and everyone remember to check/lube those cables. |

Update from Sunday's ride. Bogus Basin rd. is fairly clean, rideable but watch for sand. Tim get ahold of me about servicing your bike. I just put some chain wax on my clutch cable last night. Anyone interested in doing the motorcycle awareness ride this Saturday the 5th? If so post here |

Well, we made it out of Utah unscathed and with big smiles on our faces. Everything was first class all the way. Extremely nice people, very helpful. The track is amazing. The speed is unreal. I would highly recommend the event for anyone that is at all interested. You will not be let down. Pictures will be up in the next couple of days, so stay tuned. |

Ok, Tony and anyone else interested in the ride Saturday lets meet at the I-Hop on Federal Way in front of the Home Depot By 11am and when the ride is over we can hit Bogus and shake out the cobwebs. Anyone else? Mike can't wait to hear more about the track! |

Well, I was planning on meeting the rest of the riders at Meridian park and then riding with the police escort to the capitol where the rally is going to be. I'm assuming the info is accurate, although the web site says "says Saturday The 6th" which isn’t accurate. http://www.smsa.org/events/special_events/ride_to_ capitol/ We can meet up earlier and ride over there together if you want. |

I have heard several options for this ride, from what I gather, BAB is meeting at the Ihop, BVR was going to meet at Lucky Peak dam, and then another group at the Meridian park, or am I totally messed up? then instead of going to the capital mall, they were going to the park at State st and Veterans pkwy. Ok just a bit confused? |

OK, this is what I know: -BVR is Staging at Gowen Chevron @ 10:30AM (KSU @ 11AM)...BAB should join us! -MC Awareness Rally stages at Sandy Point and they are riding to MK Plaza due to the construction at the capitol this year (KSU @ 1PM). -For More Information about the Awareness Rally itself please contact Chuck Culter at (208) 345-6231. |

Just a follow up on my busted clutch cable: High Desert Harley Davidson (specifically Shane and Patrick) really have a tough job with the beginning of the riding season and their shop being moved to the new location. However, all my whining aside, they where able to repair my bike under warranty in TWO DAYS with no notice. All I had to pay for was to overnight the cable. The bottom line is that no matter how bad the press is on HDHD's Service Dept...they will go above and beyond to help us if we give them a chance. One note on the new cable...it's a new superceded part number and appears to be different and now my clutch lever seems to move much easier in and out. I'm not sure exactly what they did but I AM SURE that this repair is something short of a recall and everyone (XB12ers) should inspect their clutch cables and/or research the issue for their own benefit. |
