OK, my wife and I are planning to ride Saturday with our Beemer road trip friends (from Portland)... perhaps we can ride that same Meadowlake Road loop? We need to get back to Salem by 1pm, and of course we'll be riding BMWs Saturday (I have split loyalties). Could meet up in Carlton, or Wilsonville: Wilsonville Road to Newberg to Carlton to Meadowlake to Beaver to Hebo to 22/18 junction to McMinnville? Then home to Salem for us, possibly up Willamina/Gilbert Creek Rd and east on Meadowlake for the energetic among you. There's a good little burger shop in McMinnville we frequent. |

I'd be up for riding with the group. Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning would be best. -Mike |

Lets post a place and time we are meeting tomorrow. Looks like we may have some conflicts with mornings and afternoon. The original thought was 10:00 am Saturday. If we were to meet at the FredMyer parking lot by 217 and Canyon rd (or it may still be TV hwy). Other suggestions? |

Have fun everyone, would have liked to have met everyone. This time I'll be the one doing the hokey pokey and chicken dance at my sons' birthday party. Hey Julie, is there anything I'm forgetting, we also have a pinata and pin the tail. |

Aron and Mike, (Et All) I have a buddy that needs to be back by 2 PM that wants to ride with us. We'd need to skip lunch in Carlton and ride on to meadowlake road to get him back in time. Lets lock a 10 AM start in but, lets meet further west. May I suggest the Home Depot parking lot on TV highway and Minter Bridge road? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=yamhill+OR &layer=&ie=UTF8&om=1&z=13&ll=45.4889,-122.951431&s pn=0.052951,0.1157 We can backroad it to carlton, ride to the west side of the resivour and stop for a chat. I have not ridden the road since winter and it may be a mess, so the westbound pass should be slow and careful, then the pace can pick up going eastbound. Cell phone is (503) 710-0518. Call to confirm, leave a message f I dont pick up so I can get a headcount before 8 AM tomorrow. Gas up on the way! Paul |

Thanks for broadening my horizons. Was a perfect day for me. 150 miles on the bike. When I got home I had some time to shoot some paint on my Falcon(restoration project). Now its time for a beer and my favorite chair. Life is just to good. Clint |

Rode with Beemer folks yesterday morning: Carlton to Beaver to Tillamook to Hwy6 to the new Tigard BMW store. The road out to the coast was in OK condition, some dirt on westbound lane where shoulder work has been done. Saw a group heading west on 6, at least two double headlight bikes, though at least one appeared to be Speed Triple. Any of you in that group? Will definitely be back there soon on the XB! |

Paul, I'm guessing that is 6YO. We hoped to have one of each when we found out we were having twins, but I'm just glad we didn't have two girls. My sisters are twins so I had enough of that scenario growing up. Can't imagine what it would be like without the two little guys, makes you think having only one child would be boring, no offense to anybody, it is just they keep me on my toes. |
