Danbury or NewRochelle dealer? Live in Stamford, don't own a motorcycle now, but want to get back into riding..either looking at a XB9cityx or XB12S lightning. Is there a preferred dealer between these two? And which one has a more active rider group? Looking for rides around the area including into NYC. I think Danbury is your closest. They are defenitly pro Buell. They are always willing to go the extra mile to keep their customers happy. They do organize Buell rides as well as Harley rides. Their is usually a group of guys (The Hudson valley crew) that ride out of the Newburgh area. I usually ride with them because they are always riding. Plus they are a great group of guys to hang out with. | ||

I'm no expert by any stretch, but I ended up buying mine from Danbury. At the time, Gengras didn't have any '06 CityX leftovers. New Roc had one, but I thought Danbury would be a better call for service even though they aren't really that close to me, either. I live in Orange. I felt that Danbury was Buell friendly and fairly knowledgeable. It did help that they made the price attractive for me. The buying experience was pretty good as I found my salesperson - JC Johnson and the Business Manager - Sue - very helpful and personable. When I was there looking, I ran into a guy who just bought a CityX a couple of days prior from them, and he came from either Hyde Park or Red Hook in NY. He had good things to say about the dealer and the experience, so I figured it was a good place to buy from. Don't know if this helps. | ||

Excalibur Powersports is having their 4th anniversary celebration on Saturday. The roads in that area are nice (my stomping grounds normally) and free food and entertainment are always cool | ||

yep, there's someone out here, rode sunday (26th) had to watch for areas of sand and salt spread out for icey areas. Definatly puts a damper on the fun factor. | ||

For me, I noticed that the painted lines on the road in town are much more slick as the temp drops - my XB got a little squirrely on a couple of turns as the rear wheel hit the crosswalk markings. No problems other than a little frost nip on the finger tips! | ||

Yes, thanks Niceharleystuff...it was a great day for riding. I stopped by the BMW/Ducati/Triumph dealership which was nice. The Buell and I got LOTS of attention. Far more than when Im at the Harley dealership...go figure?! Have things to do today Doz, but have a nice ride!! | ||
