I can keep the names straight, at least sometimes. However I think I can recognize which bikes go where? I am in Albany all this week taking some classes, wish I was out riding. I'll try to download some of the digital photos I took a little later and try to post some here, but someone told me you need some kind of special shrinking software to get te files small enough? -Trapper |

Well Kegan, i guess thats an awesome compliment! Well i pulled the bike out of the garage today and the rear tire was flat... Upon further inspection there was a fairly straight 2" 'cut' perpendicular to the tread about 3/4" from the sidewall on each side of the tire. To me it looked like a knife cut. The front tire was perfectly fine, so i don't think i ran anything over... But just to be safe i think you guys should give your tires a good inspection before the next ride. The bike was stored in my garage since i got back from the trip, so it must have happened sometime Sunday and its a miracle that the thing didn't pop on my way home. I did stop a few times at thruway rest stops on the way back because of how loopy i was feeling, so the bike was out of my sight for about a total of 20 mins at those stops. Who knows. I hope its not the hitman, i guess its a good thing i just got my 4 cases of .40 S&W Rangers in the mail! :-P Otherwise i took the front and rear tire off and it was surprisingly simple... the hardest part was jacking the bike up with the motorcycle jack. I ended up having to take the muffler off and use a piece of landscape timber and the rear shock to jack from. I ended up getting the michilin pilot powers with the dual compound. Everyone seems to love them since they have the hard comound in the center and soft on the edges. No more dreading highways for fear of wearing a flat spot! Total cost: $330.00 mounted and balanced. |

come on technical is a good word. Lots of really nice turns, so of them tight (no more chicken strips on my tires ), so technically it is technical. Ok /me needs more coffee, beat from moving boxes . |

Well i got the new dual compounds put on the rims, apparently they only had 180 width tires and stock was 170. Shouldn't be a huge deal, just have to watch out for the different profile shape. It turns out there was a piece of metal in the tire that was roughly the size of a tack, very small. Still don't know where the cuts came from, but they didn't go all the way through. When do we want to plan another ride? Lake Placid? |

So what's everyone's thoughts on my next bike? Should i buy another Buell? If so what one, if not i'm open to ideas. Ricochet don't say a 250 Kawasaki ninja! |

Zed, if you liked the Buell go for it. It's definately not the cheapest bike out there but cost isn't everything I guess. Whatever you end up with I'd be happy to ride with you anytime. Hope the insurance company was kind to you. |

Z, I wouldn't never say 250 Ninja. Sounds to me like you made a sweet deal on the CityX. Have you checked the usual suspects for more leftovers? On the other hand, I was recently pegged as a wise a$$ at work. Go figure...Here Z28 wanders the accident scene asking, "what happened"...

Here's the only pic of Squideetr I was able to get, standing still. I stopped on the upper part of 10 only to have him jam on by as I was trying to pry the camera out of my pocket.

Hi everybody, What a time to miss a ride due to surgery. I might as well introduce myself; My name is Carl and I have a few bike's one of them is a Ulysses that I bought in January. Squideetr and I have ridden near 10k miles together and I think that number might be short a few miles. I have had the pleasure of making him the first phone call I make after a crash more than once and can not think of a better person to have around in such situations. He would rather not be in that spot, but shit happens. He gave me a great trip report and I thought I would come out of lurking and do a little post. So hi everybody! And hope to see you around and go for a little ride with with you all.

does anyone in our group object to me registering us as a club on the Buell website as "central New York Buellers"I'll put myself down as the contact unless someone feels strongly about it and would like to be the contact.maybe we can add some more riders to our group or get something out of our HD dealer ha ha |
