Bill, Not sure if you meant Neal B or Neil N? but I am lurking here occasionally. The Sunday ride sounds great but I am spending the day with the family... Sundays are about the only day that I can do that since I work an odd schedule. Mondays or Tuesdays are better for me for riding days, hence I usually ride solo. Should be a great ride and weather forecast looks great...... I am sure that I will have a chance to ride with BAB sometime. Until then, happy trails and remember to keep the rubber side down. |

I know have the header wrap I ordered and wanted to learn more about it before commiting...I have read that the pipe temperatures can get excessively high as well as the head temperatures not being able to dissipate heat as well. It makes sense and I love my bike too much to muck with it. Here's an informative article about header wrapping: http://www.centuryperformance.com/heatwraps.asp Anybody else have thoughts on this? |

Tim, I've had my headers wrapped for about two years and have nothing but good things to say about it. Wrapping the headers keeps the heat in and aids in exhaust scavaging, which actually can raise horsepower (albeit a small amount). The biggest thing for me though was keeping some of the heat off my leg which it is good at. You also don't have to worry about the pipes falling apart over time. That could have happened over time with old headers, but ours are stainless steel, so it won't be much of a problem. I'm good with the plan for Sunday, See you there. |

Nice ride Sunday Guys is this really March weather? For anyone going up HWY 21 lots of dirt on the pavement above Idaho City. Understand Buell is coming out with Dirt/Motocross bikes. Hmmmmm! |

Bill, we needed a Buell snowmachine! We could have joined that guy that kept running into trees. Watching that was worth dealing with the roads at the top, too funny. How about this weekend? I think I'm free to head out. |

Well the weather is going to super nice on Saturday, and probably raining on Sunday. What's the chances of going for a quick ride on Sat. I've got to work at 4pm so anytime before then. |

Saturday Ride Idea: Mar. 24th Boy Scout Troop 61 is putting on a All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and eggs breakfast. Mike Hyde of the troup is sponsoring the cost of each breakfast for all clubs that attend. Stage at the Maple Grove Grange Hall, 11692 President Drive. 8:30am, we eat breakfast then we ride. Destination Open. Several of the BVR crew attended this event last year and it was exceptional. Really good food and the price is right....FREE |

Mike, see you at the Warm Springs Chevron at noon Sunday. Anyone else? Andy, assuming the T.P.S. was set correctly when the ECM was installed, does your air box intake from the RH side? I was surprised how much smoother my bike accelerated after changing the air intake from the RH (hot) side to the LH (cool) side. Easy to change. You might also check your plug wires to make sure they are pushed all the way down. Let me Know. |

MC Awareness ride is around Noon Saturday May 5th. Starting at Spring Shores by Lucky peak to the state house. Lets Meet around 10 AM at the IHOP for Coffee & eats then ride up together. After the rally we might want to check out Bogus Basin rd? For anyone new to this ride there will be around 1000 bikes. Police block all the intersections and the speed is sloooooow. |

Andy, If you haven't put the bike into learning mode recently that could help quite a bit. Just run it on the highway for 10 minutes at around 3500 rpm steady. You would be amazed at the difference it can make. Sam, someone from work or what? |

Hey Coturi, do you remember how much header wrap you had to use? Also, do you know if it voids the warranty? Ive seen in some catalogs that sell header wrap that say it might void the warranty. |

Don, I used about 35 feet of 2 inch wrap with an inch overlap. The service guys down at the dealership had no problem doing warranty work on my bike, so it shouldn't be a problem. Anyone else going to join us on Sunday? |
