This weekend sucks, but next weekend's weather should be awesome. I have a new camera lens on loan from Duc_htr to try out, and I need some high speed fashion models. I want to check out Gixxer Corner in the morning to see if I can get some sunlight on the inside of the turn, and I want to hit a couple of those deep banks on 129. Who's up for it? I promise I'll make you look fast. |

The weather sucks (??) A Nigerian cab driver told me once that there was no such thing as good weather or bad weather, weather just was. Very philosophical, but it was about 120 in the shade for the next several days. Right now here in Suches the temp is a balmy 36 degrees, but there is no traffic, the roads are dry and the sun is shining. If it was February we'd think it was a great day! I'm going riding. |

Smokesceen, if you don't mind the cold then I don't either! Sunday morning would be great. Everyone will be out hunting eggs, so the roads should be nice and clear. |

Not sure I want to ride as cold as it will be Sunday.
But...next weekend I'm in for sure. I'd love to get some pictures of me actually riding. There's not one of me on a bike during MB. |

Stealth, give any BMW dealer a call and see if they carry 1150 injectors. Jens from Hillbilly Motors recommends them. I'll see if I can find a source as well. |

I'll see if Jens will give me more information. All he said was 1150 injectors. BMW makes an 1150GS, 1150RT, 1150RS... I wonder if they all use the same injectors... Google ain't so much help with this one... All the sites I've seen so far want more information than I know. |

Stealth, I'd like to take another look at your throttle cables to make sure what we did has stayed the way we (Charlie) set it. I'm wondering if the symptoms that have come back, came back because the play has gone away. When do you think you'll be back over this way? I'm having a hard time looking for injectors, my mind keeps wondering around while looking at all the shiny new Buell parts available. I guess it's a good thing I haven't any money to spend! I have the new Hill Billy Motors catalog! I wish I were independently wealthy! |

What I've found so far... I think that BMW 1150 injectors are Bosch part 0280 150 784 Is there any way someone can verify this for me? Jens original postTo be honest we see for now no need to do bigger changes on the ignition/injection system. Use the Race ECM and give the bike open air and exhaust. If you like, use the injectors from the BMW 1150. From what I've been able to find so far, it seems the BMW 1150 bikes use the same injectors. The R1150R seems to be a good place to start. Does anyone have friends in the BMW business, or know a BMW guru? Finding injectors through the internet is proving to be difficult...for me anyhow. |

Stealth, same issue?? Sorry fellas but all of you with open air boxes seem to have way too many tuning/running issues......I think it is time to put the stock airbox back on and just drill some holes for more flow?!?! Glitch, I called a BMW car dealernot realizing they were from a bike... |

I had issues with my bike with the open air box. I now have a stock XB12 air box, and took the snorkel out. I've been thinking of getting a newer air box that has the holes already. Oh and one of these...maybe... http://www.britnett-carver.co.uk/trojanhorse/prods /277.html I told you looking a specific part is difficult for me! |

Ask your pop if I can take the ol lady for a ride in it!!!! PULEEESE! i can't even get him to let ME take her for a spin (the car, not sam...) INJECTORS: harley went from a 3 shot injector to a six shooter in their screamin' eagle models to fix some running problems. it's my understanding that the 3-shots are the same as what's in our buells, and that the issues they faced on the HD's are similar to our problems. i'll try to find out if that's true, and if so, that may be a healthy upgrade for us open airbox guys, right? |
