Creeker - Come over to Carolina Corner Carvers and say hello. We have a couple people out your way. There are a bunch of people headed down to TWO in Suches, GA today. Thats about 3 hours south of you if you want to ride down. Look for the threads about MBIV.

Hi Guys: Going to be staying in Little Switzerland for three days 6-17 to 6-19 and plan to ride around there and Shady Valley. West of Little Switzerland is 197 south of 19, is it as good as it looks on the map? Are there other roads that you could recommend. Was there for Riding The Ridge and can't wait to get back.

Hwy 197 s. of Burnsville is OK if you have a Ulysses. Not worth the trouble otherwise. Part of it's dirt between Burnsville & Barnardsville.

Better is 197 North from Burnsville. It's pretty gentle until it crosses the N. Toe River. Take it thru Redhill and Poplar into Tennessee, turn around at the Rockcreek Campground.

The part of Hwy 80 just south of the parkway is good.

They've had a lot of heavy afternoon storms in WNC lately, so watch for gravel.

Now you BEHAVE on these roads! I don't want the locals out with pitchforks the next time I ride thru!

If you are around the Bakersville, Spruce Pine, Burnsville area, look me up for a ride. Don't know the all the roads around here but can make do. I live in Buladean.
