duc -- i'm at joe's taste of chicago, right there off of hwy 76 on friday and saturday night. i think we start at 9 or so. i'd love to crash in hiawassee and have a local show me the good roads. give me a call 678.859.0334 or pm me your number. and as for anybody else, there's my number if ya need it. stealth -- i've been on the phone all day with folks gettin' answers before i put my micron on. the steady thing i'm hearin' is that tps resets have been done incorrectly at dealerships. the throttle cables have to loosen and the butterfly totally close before the reset is done. that is absolute zero. most folks just hook it up and reset it without makin' this adjustment. might that be it? (i hope that's not old news to ya'll...) (Message edited by XBullet on March 14, 2007) |

Duc, send me a PM and I'll send you the files you'll need. Nothing is loose on my bike, except the rear brake lever is rattling. I went for a little ride this evening and had my foot under it keeping it from shaking....no noise. Go figger. Stealth, give everything the once over. Check wires, plugs, check the intake and make sure it's snug. If everything checks out ok I'd take it in for a TPS and AFV check/reset, and while they're at it, have 'em check the timing as well. I could be forgetting a thing or two. |

I like the R rear end. Ditto on the "No Lettering" and flat black the plates. And Chucky says,"I'm bringing Sexy back!" Put a 6-pack leaning against that...humina, humina, humina.... |

Put a 6-pack leaning against that...humina, humina, humina... Well you know I will be leaning against it, and with my long hair, WOW! That was a quicky to show yall I already thought of black with red wheels, I wont do Flat tho, too hard to keep looking clean. I will work on the heel gaurds and the little details later, I could waste a whole day on photochop and never get where I want. |

New12R.....I just got a killer idea. I was playing around with our new sandblaster and had an idea. Since Buell's plastics are molded in color then you could do something like this on the tank. Mind you, I spent all of 30 sec on this but the outcomes are limitless. You could do a ghost flame pattern on the air box and body work. Tape off where you don't want flat. Or.....you could sandblast the entire cover and have instant flat that doesn't chip off. Sweet, if I say so myself.
This is just a scrap piece of co-poly I had laying around. I would love to experiment on an actual piece in anyone has a busted one laying around. |

Wow, I am not a happy camper. My boss got fired (good), but I got reorganized (bad). I was demoted from a manager back down to an engineer because my former boss apparently took credit for every innovation I've made over the last five years. Fortunately my new director stuck up for me and asked to have me on his team at least, or my VP (who was totally blinded by my old boss's bullshit) would've shipped me off to another department entirely where I'd have been completely miserable. Now that my douchebag ex-boss is gone, my former peers and I can finally be honest about what a horrible piece of shit he was without fear of retaliation. As all this comes to light, I hope my new director and VP will do the right thing and put me back in a leadership role. |

It's the corporate way. you might as well accept it and move on. I was once replaced as a manager by a woman who was my subordinate. Apparently GE at the time didn't have enough women in managerial roles and a NY Times article threatened to lower stock prices. She had to take and extended medical leave when she went six months later. I took some enjoyment in making her cry in meetings. I will never again strive to middle management. I'm a technical guy at heart. |

Sanchez, does this mean the chick with the harassment mentality is no longer a problem for you to deal with? Maybe this re-org is what you needed, short run not so hot, long run looks good. You got there before, right. Dan, diversity...well actually...exuberant diversity at it's worse. Some of the things I've seen. I'm glad to be a one man organization! |

ok guys.... so i got to thinkin'..... after the smoke cleared the room, i got on here to ask what ya thought about hydraulic clutches. i got to lookin' at travis's bike with the RR master by nissin, so i hit shindypro.com to check out their clutch setup that matches. crg shorties and a plastic reservoir on each side would not only look cool (read "overkill"), it would probably smooth out the clutch operation...right? pros and cons?
