James - that's a good idea. I can probably attain a dirt bike for next to nothing from a friend of the family - just to get her familiar with the controls and coordination. After that - well . . there's plenty room in the garage for a Blast! |

Tony, For some reason my post never made it. ...Always glad to serve as a bad influence or a good excuse. The least I can do. Ditto on the MSF course recommendation. |

With the changes to Badweb I kinda lost track of things here for a bit. I missed the Battletrax / BRAG ride at Camarillo Airport - it's a shame too because I devoted that whole day to riding! Met a couple buddies at the base of the Crest at 8am, went to Newcomb's for breakfast, then Big Tujunga, Angeles Forest, E-Lake Rd., N2, The Old Road, Cuddy Valley / Cerro Noroeste, stopped by Songdog to check it out, back down Cerro, Lockwood Valley then the 33 South into Ojai. All told the S2 logged around 465 miles that day! We'll have to get together for some more back road shenanigans soon. Steve, congrats on the new Bolt. |

Hi Jim! Trying to get used to the little Bolt. Sharper cornering but the Big Bolt is definitely more solid at speed. The sense I have is the little Bolt has more potential - certainly in cornering, but I just have to work with it for a while now getting it set up for me. Going to take both up to Thunderhill on 12th and 13th and maybe work on setting up the suspension on the little guy for a couple sessions. The Big Bolt is just right now. See all youse guys soon enough. Today (raining Saturday) is a catch-up day (one day a week I pretend to be responsible adult) |

Well, it has stopped raining long enough for Jen & I to pack the T-bolt and head to the Songdog Rally. Gonna try Balcom, 150 & 33 unless any of them got washed out. See y'all soon with pics. Speaking of pics, I just noticed that the Songdog webmaster has included a weather satellite view & 2 pics of the campground roads and commentary that the place is drying out getting ready for the evenings festivities. Cool! Sparky (Message edited by sparky on May 03, 2003) |

Sounds about right, Sparky. We had rain most of Friday and Saturday in Santa Barbara. The mountains North of Ojai should've been interesting alright... I was up there a week ago and they had that same "Chains Req'd" sign out on Cerro. Road was clean and dry. I don't think they are very discriminating with their usage of that sign... We saw the famous hillsides of flowers in Gorman as well. Pretty amazing stuff. But I didn't have a camera... |

Tony, I am desperately trying to sort out conflicting vacation requirements this year. I am committed to a 3+ week trip to Papua New Guinea which has been in planning for a couple years now. That looks to be late October. I am having trouble at work getting coverage for another 2 weeks off in late August for the Buell 20th. I'll see how that settles out. If I can get coverage, I'm going to owe some monster favors... I am trying to sort out finances since deciding that I just HAD TO have a second bike for the track... and picked up the Firebolt (Message edited by slaughter on May 15, 2003) |

Folks, I just had the chance to take the Little Bolt out on the track at Thunderhill for 2 days of the most fun imaginable!! With the proper tire pressure, suspension settings, and ridden just a little hard, this bike is AWESOME in corners. My mind is still reeling, trying to absorb everything but after 12 sessions and about 200 miles, it is obvious that this little scooter is at home on the track in the turns. AWESOME GOOD TIME!! As usual, the Glendale/Hollywood HD folks were there with all their shade, and it's good to be made to feel at home. I got in too late yesterday and was too tired to try to write a report... hopefully I'll be up to it tonight. You GOTTA make it to a track day sometime! |

Steve says, >>>You GOTTA make it to a track day sometime!<<< Ain't that the TRUTH! I'm beginning to think I'll have to wait until my kids are grown and out of the house first, sheesh. I wanna get out there soooooo bad. Timbo |

James, I have to make sure I don't step on my co-workers too badly. I can break away as long as I am not leaving anything undone for the 2 weeks that I'd be gone. Negotiations are beginning in earnest! |

Golden State Brag-ers, Was just over at Tim and Candice's the night before last and we were discussing ways of getting info out to the BRAG folks - and others who may be interested in hanging with us. What you think of having a separate thread here? Of course, it'd be pretty simple to FTP info up to a simple page for announcements, etc. Any thoughts???? Steve |

Hiya folks, finally getting caught up here! Timbo, you gotta get to a track day with us - Pacific Track Time has my vote from now on. The HUGE improvements Slaughter made over the 2 days were mind boggling and incredibly apparent from session to session. Just about everybody makes enormous gains, but he went from Dr. Bruce Banner to the Incredible Hulk! All, a very fun ride is planned for the 25th of this month, so spread the word. Oh, and we're having a big sale/shindig at the shop on the 31st. |

James, I mentioned Milwaukee because I thought Steve was after a certain hot-rod motorcycle! I have to maintain the whole, wedding first - other things later priorities for the remainder of the year, so I'm not sure I'll make it to the far away fun things this year. Steve - whether it be a separate thread, here or FTP, post the info, because even though I'm not a BRAG member (yet), I'd like to meet up with y'all whenever possible for some good riding. |
