The link above didn't work but the IKEA address is 601 SW 41st St, Renton, WA the second address is 3701 E Valley Rd, Renton, WA. You could add that in to get directions and the map should zoom in. |

Parts: Shifter linkage Left side scoop Oil Cooler Oil cooler scoop Anyone got em'? I'm really not sure what happened. We had had a great ride, got into some twisties, felt great and comfortable. We were approaching a very mild S turn, I think I fixated on the ditch for some reason, the bike goes where you are looking.... I'm not sure what caught my attention so bad. I really can't figure this one out. I try very hard to look ahead and I rarely catch myself looking at anything too long.... |

Cord, Were ya looking at the front tire? I make that mistake all too often, and try to correct it. Very bad habit I must break. Sounds like you healing up well, as far as parts, sorry, can't help on that list. |

I never look at the front tire, I'm good about looking ahead. I just fixated on the ditch, maybe it was a black hole? I'm gettin better everyday, still the spleen area and ribs. The hospital called today, "BTW you have an ankle fracture too". LOL I can walk on it without too much pain so "eff it". I have to wear one of them life alert bracelets, they can't spell though... "At risk for intra-abdominal bleeding from SPEEN injury." LMFAO! |

...patient is in good humor... Aron, Whats your schedule look like weekend of the 17th and 18th? I wanted to get another peek at your crankcase vent to copy it. Probably put the drummer on that weekend too. I'll buy the beer if you have some time to stop by... |

Paul, I should be available to stop by either day. Hopefully there will be a break in the weather so we can test the results. What have you decided to do about the exhaust servo? Do your own rewire or buy the emulator plug-in? |

}...patient is in good humor... In the nurses notes for shift change they leave a description of the patient. The oncoming nurses told me I was the "pleasant white male". I chuckled and then told her that's better than crazy drunk cracker! ^_^ Mood isn't so good this AM looking at the helmet/repair fund. It's a toy, it can wait. I didn't even notice your airbox Aron..... |

Cord - kind of a personal question, but how big's your head? Gotta couple of backup helmets here that could serve in a pinch... but you'd hafta have a big fat noggin like me! |

Cord - kind of a personal question, but how big's your head? Gotta couple of backup helmets here that could serve in a pinch... but you'd hafta have a big fat noggin like me! My wife says I have a Texas head. LOL My helmet was a large. Such a shame to ditch a beauty of a helmet for a glancing blow... I know, I know, safety is number one! Looking at the bike more, I'm gonna see if I can locate some spherical rod ends for the shifter linkage locally. My handguard and clutch lever are fine. The framepuck can be replaced later. I'm 90% sure I can straighten the oil cooler bracket, the cooler fins are fine. I may look into running without the LS scoop. In short, to get running, I need 2 spherical rod ends and the oil cooler scoop, and a lid. |

I think the rear cylinder will get a bit hot if you run without the scoop... Id check the KV before I risked it. Look at the helmet, if it's skuffed replace the damm thing. Don't look at it as a few hundred spent for a new helmet, look at it as either a few grand medical bills saved, or better yet a lifetime of diapers and droolng on yourself avoided. I'm going to see Hootowl in LA next week and I'm taking my servo valve. He's bringing a 12VDC power supply and DVM. I'll let you know what I come up with but I'll probably make an emulator, if I do I'll make a few. Who else wants one? Aron, I'll plan on one for you for sure. Kevin said his Drummer SS has a 30 unit backlog... |

Cord, I'm glad your clutch lever is OK. It must just have twisted or been in some kind of bind. What are yo going to do about your left blinker? "I didn't even notice your air box Aron....." Do you mean noise level from running a open air box? |

No, I didn't notice you were running an open air box. I didn't notice anything with the clutch lever at all, other than it being rotated up on the bars. |

Paul, I talked with Kevin yesterday and it sound like I am still on track for the end of the month. I can't wait. So yes please get me an emulator if it works out. Otherwise I will probably buy one from American Sport bike. |

When riding, your head is just above the tank and you can hear it in the midrange. once you open it up the exhaust level is greater then the intake notice. But I am glad to know that others around me can't hear it. |

Aron, No problem on the emulator. Resistors come in packs of ten... Had an idea on my airbox too. Anyone got a Dremel a guy could borrow? I also need to hog out the end of the pro-taper bars so my bar ends work... |

Cord I have the blinker if you want it. In a couple of days I could probably run it to you. Paul, I have one of the dremel style tools from Costco if you need to borrow it. Aron, I never noticed the intake noise, but man is your shifter loud. Wait a minute, if your shifter sounds like crap then so does mine. C'mon Buell put a frickin' cassette six in there, but not this year. If they go six speed this year I will have buyers remorse and wonder why I didn't wait another year with Buell balls. |

My blinker is fine, popped off, all I had to do was disassemble it and put it back on. I have a very nice Dremel kit XPsomthin. You're welcome to it. |

I'm all for a redesigned trany to shed some weight, but the top gear needs to be an overdrive. Gears are plenty close together IMHO. |

Paul, are you still planning the drummer install this weekend? Also were you able to make a emulator? I am hoping that Kevin will have my SS done in the next 2 weeks. I finally have the money to pay for it. I also bought a set of black plastics from blacksunshine. hopefully be here by the end of the week. Cord, were you able to get anything from blacksunshine? He was parting out his whole bike. And last I finally broke down and ordered Frame pucks and dark horse rear sliders from American Sport bike. With both Cord and you laying down your bikes I saw how well these two things really saved the bikes. |

I didn't get anything from him, he wanted to sell me all his CF stuff, I only needed the LSS and OCS. I got all my stuff coming from DaveS, maybe here tomorrow. I did a mechanical shakedown on the rear stand and everything seems to be in good operating condition. Once I get the new parts on I'll have a better idea(hard to get through the gears with no shift linkage). Looks good so far! Still shopping for lids. |

Cord you may want to check out Bob Yamaha/Honda. I went there today and picked up a new lid. They have a 10% of everything sale for Valentines. I didn't like my Buell (KBC) helmet because it fits to tight on my ears and across my forehead. I ended up getting a new Icon Mainframe. Fits my head real nice and the graphics are wild. |

Which Buell helmet did you have? The solid black one? What are your plans for it? I'm leaning HARD toward the Scorpions |

Solid black. I was thinking about using it as a back up. It's a size XL. The Scorpions are popular and they have several there. I have a HJC that is almost brand new as well. It is a XL as well but fits a little too loose on my head. I am selling it on craigslist because it really has only been worn a few times before I bought my Buell helmet. Hopefully I will be OK with my third attempt. |

Hey guys...I would like to ask your help in the choice of a route from Spokane to Kettle Falls...Six of us will be over-nighting the evening of June 19 in Spokane...We want to pick up WA 20 in Kettle Falls and take it west to WA 9 and then north into BC...My specific question is to which road, US 395 or WA 25, would be the better ride?...If 25 to connect to it I was looking at WA 291, then N on WA 231 and then W on Ford Wellpinit, McCoy Lake, W End and Midget Lake roads...Or should I just stay N on WA 231 and take the Springdale-Hunters road over to WA 25?...I noticed that the first route in thru the reservation and wondered if that is a problem or not?... Thanks, Bob |

Thanks, anyway, guys...I posted this on a couple of other places here and on other boards so, hopefully, something will come of it... Naw, not a local to Spokane...We're riding out from St Louis leaving on June 15 for seventeen days...Never been to BC and it's time...Crossing the plains thru NE then into CO at Fort Collins over to Vernal UT...Up to Lolo and then W on US12 to Lewiston (and The Spiral Highway) and then N to Spokane and W to Vancouver BC...Five days in BC and then Glacier and Going to the Sun, The Beartooth, Chief Joseph, The Big Horns and lastly, all the stuff in the Black Hills...The trip as of now is 7,655 s'miles...Titanium butt mode on... Thanks again and ride long, Bob |

Bob - Buy this book! http://www.destinationhighways.com/ Get the BC version and enjoy. Picked one up myself at our Portland H-D/Buell shop... it was on sale, but after reading it cover to cover it's easily worth the asking price... great info and ride recommendations. Wife & I will be picking up the Washington and NorCal versions soon, 'cause we're pretty much West o' the Rockies riders. Mark Oregon |

Mark..."Destination Highways" is the resource I have used to map out our trip...We'll be riding all the top DH's that are not out on the islands as we don't have time for the long ferry rides...Don't the maps just suck, though?...Shouldn't maps always be oriented with the north direct up?...You end up turning the book to get north up and then trying to read text that may be almost upside down...Another nice mod would be a key on the master BC map in the front to the page number for that area in the book...I finally just wrote the page no on the map...I found the color thing really hard to follow since some of the colors are so close in looks... I'll let you know if the hype of these roads reflects reality...I sure hope it does... Thanks, Bob |
