I didn't really have one but I know I need to lose about 20-25 lbs. to feel good again and bring my sky high blood pressure where it should be. Happy New Year's guys and gal's hope maybe ths year can be different for a riding season.

No resolutions - I made one years ago to not make any more and I've kept it. Other than that, I need to lose about 20-25 lbs to get to where I need to lose about 20-25 lbs.

Jason at the present my blood pressure is like 170 over 80 when I'm calm..... not good.

Jason thought I'd let ya know that we are losing another family member this Friday. Good old schultz is 14 now and not doing well at all. Sight and hearing is just about shot and can't really do the stairs any longer. We have opted to bring him in to the vet and put him to sleep before his quality of life is causing much pain on him. Its going to suck,he's been with us a long time.

Sorry to hear that (Heather says she's sorry too). 14 years is a long time for a dog. Really sucks, especially after that long - pets really do become family members.

You bet Nancy. I losing two great dogs in a just under a year really kinda hurts. Schultz though its some what easier cause he has had a wonderful full loooooong life and the family have had a good amount of time to prepare and knew it was coming and its time. Goliath was a surprise and took me and my whole family off guard. Thanks Jason and Heather also I knew you Jason really enjoyed Schultz alot.

Sorry to hear about Schultz. He is one of my favorites.
Mike, got home late yesterday. It sucks to be back too.
We (Karri, Jon and I) got the bug to jump ship and move to Arizona. It's hitting really hard this time. I'll post some pictures later as to one of the reasons we are thinking seriously about it. Probably won't happen this year. But you never know.

BadS1 and Naughty,
I am very sorry to hear about Schultz. That is a tough choice to have to make. I feel for you.
I have a 12 year old Yellow Lab, Buck, he too is showing signs of age. I retired him from hunting a couple years ago,it was just too hard on him even though he still has the heart and drive to charge hard. I am hoping he can hang on a few more years.

Here are some reasons we're considering the move from Wisconsin to Arizona.

Can't beat the weather and views.

GREAT time's with the Family. My Uncle's house. He's 2 years older than me.

One of the coolest horses my Uncle owns (rescued). Her name's Misty.

Christmas Eve at my Uncle's place.

My Uncle doing his annual "GAME SHOW" Christmas. This year was "Let's make a Deal".
He gave away over 85 gifts. Some were zonks just like the real game show.

My Uncle (Mici) and me out on 2 of his 13 horses.

Mici leading Jon around on one of the horses.

Some of his saddles. He has Kids from the area ride his horses in shows. They ride English Style.

A Christmas gift to a Niece that rides for him. A new horse names Exodus Thunder.

Giving my Cousin Matthew his first motorcycle ride.

Jon hugging his favorite horse (Misty)

Jon Metal Detecting for Gold in a dry wash. YES. We did find Gold!

Throwing the Fottball around in front of my Dad's on New Year's Eve.

This is the main reason I want to move...My family. Here's Jon with my Dad and Niece Isabel on New Year's Eve. It's my Dads Birthday. I realized this trip that my Dad has been in Arizona for 16 years. The rest of my family for 10 years. I have a Brother from my Dads second marriage that I hardly know. I have a Niece and Nephew that I hardly know. My Dad has Cancer. He's beating it right now, but God only knows when it will come back. I've seen my Dad about 20 times in the last 16 years and I miss him. I miss my whole family. We were so close growing up. All lived in the same area. My Uncle Mici was like my best friend because of our ages. It all boils down to.. I'm sick of Wisconsin Winters (let's face it, this weather is a fluke) and I just miss my family. Karri wants to move as well, although I don't think she knows how much she'll miss her Family. The only thing that is keeping us here is...Family, Friends and the money I make here compared to what I'd make in Arizona. But the money part isn't having the effect it used to on our decision making.

A Pot Belly Pig my Uncle rescued while we were there.

Jon cleaning out the Pigs stall. He loves helping on the ranch. My Uncle said he'd love for him to move in and help all the time. Would even teach him to ride and show a horse. Jon would love that!

Karri and Jon in the Limo on the way home from the Airport. Trust me when I say NONE of us wanted to come back.
There you have but a few reasons we are thinking long and hard about moving. Will I miss it here.............................................................HELL NO!
I would however miss Karri's Family (some anyway). My Mom's family which are here, but I don't see that often anyhow.
And believe it or not, but we'd miss the friends we made here. But the door would always be open for any of you to visit and stay in our place in Arizona. We have to move first!

Rocco,Karri and Jon,

You guys look like you had a great time. I see it might of been just cool there considering the vest that Karri was wearing and sweatshirts and the like. Still beats the frigg'n chilly crap though. Rocco I need to catch up with you soon.

Dave,

Thanks a bunch. Schultz is one heck of a dog. I remember playing Frisbee with him and watching him jump to the sky to get it..... time flys. I have Raleigh still but he may get really lonely bad so we are looking into another companion for him soon. Here's shot of Schultz as of now.

Very Nice Pix Rocco!! Sorry to hear about your Dad. Tell Jon he looks handsome!!

Happy New Years to everyone. Hopefully 2007 will be great for everyone!!

Schultz is going to be a hard one...he scared the SH1T out of me the other day...slid down the stairs coming up from the basement..about 10 of them. Kayla was at the bottom to break what could have been a bad fall. I was leaving and saying good bye to everyone before leaving for work. I almost PEED my pants .
Shultz is going to be hard..he has lived a long 14 years...9 of those with us. We rescued him from the humane society when he was 5...and so vibrant. These past few weeks have been rough..its hard seeing him dwindle and he can not even hear you.

On the other note...YES resolutions...keep going to school graduating in ONE year with the BSN...and continue with the 3.89 GPA!!

It's out and completely torn down. Damage isn't nearly as bad as I thought. There's still a few things to check / measure, but so far so good. Needs a few parts, but not too many and nothing really major.

Basically, the thrust washer in the oil pump gave up the ghost and seized the pump. Once that seized, it tore up the oil pump drive gear down and that's what the shiny bits inside the cam chest were. The up side (sort of) is that since the oil pump couldn't, well, pump, most of the shiny stuff stayed put and didn't circulate the rest of the engine. All in all, not too bad.

Hey Griz, sounds like you'll be ready for the season. How about the other bike?
I have the Skunk Werx garage busy and full, 7 weeks to Daytona. As of tonite I have 4 bikes to get ready, including Fiery's. Fiery's bike will be the easy one. Then get the rig ready to pack.
Daytona should be fun, doin the track day on Thursday.
Any plans for the bike show in Chicago yet?

Haven't touched the other bike yet. That will be coming next. Of course this morning I figured out I need brakes on the car so that will have to jump in between it all. As for the show in Chicago, as of right now I'll be there working.

Bads1 and Naughty,
Sorry to hear about Schultz, dogs are family and I know how bad it sucks to lose one of them.

I'm sorry for being so scarce lately, I won't really be coming up for air until mid summer. I don't spend much time on the net because I don't have a computer in my truck at work and I'm recording a CD for a small label that is due in June.

The last nine months have been a blur anyway due to the birth of my son, who finally started sleeping through the night just a couple of weeks ago. Becki and I have been running on fumes ever since he splashed down. (He's still huge, a 25 pound 9 month old!)

Hopefully I'll see some of you out on the road once the weather breaks.

Take care,
JT

Thanks John and Steve. Its ok,he was an old guy and it was time. We'll miss him. We have some really fond memories of him. One of the best dogs I've ever had.

Rocco,

Thanks a bunch again and again for the use of the trailer. I can honestly tell ya though I'll won't do world of wheel's again unless Will (the painter) wants it for his booth next year but to get in and out of State Fair Park with as many custom cars, trucks, bikes, and vendor's is a drag. Good news was the bike to took best in class anyhow. The show is always a good one to go see though.

If anyone is willing and has the time, I need a hand pulling the forks and rear shock off my Uly. Time not set in stone yet, but within the next few weekends.

If you can help, it would be appreciated.
Food and beverages on me.
If you can't, thanks for nothing!

Weekend wise I think I'm pretty much open until whenever the Chicago IMS show is so just say when you want to do it. Besides, I may have gotten the frame of of the S1 by myself, but I'm sure it won't go back on that way...
