I took the lights over to Marks last night to show them off. He fed me dinner while I was there. Wow it was good. I need to learn how to cook steak like that. |

What model are those Jim? Post pics when mounted. I just put a Memphis Shades cockpit windshield on the bolt. Will test to see how much warmer and quite it is tonight on the way home. Word of advice if anyone changes a windshield, be sure to get new wellnuts. I will try to make sure we have them in stock as soon as the parts manager gets back from Winter Dealer show. We got some Buell riding gear in today. CE armor, zip off wind vents, zippers to attach jacket and pants, and of course they have Buell written on them. They aren't even up on the website yet. |

Mike, they are PIAA 1100X lights. The mounting bracket comes from Ulytility which is run by a lady here on badweb. |

Did you order them or pick them up somewhere? I want some additional light for the bolt. My night vision isn't what it used to be. |

Hmmm...Ulytility...I saw this at last years Homecoming and didn't know what it meant. But I do now!
P.S. The S2 now has a shade over 108,000 miles on it. Put about 140 miles on it today since the weather was so nice. Man, that exhaust note sure is music to the ears! Since I went riding today, that means I have to work around the house tomorrow.

If anyone is in need of riding boots, New River HD/Buell has the Buell boots 1/2 off. Carlos just picked up a pair today, out the door for just over $74. Not a bad deal. Wish that had that kind of a deal on leather jackets! |

I always get nervous when I have the bike this disassembled. I'm never sure I'll actually be able to get it back together.
I put the wires in split loom wrappers. I had to reroute the transmission breather hose a little.
Things always go better with a little help from your friends.
There was loads of space behind the fly screen. I put the relay back there.
Done!

Jim - The lights look good and bright. Does this mean I can use you as a tech guide when I finally decide to get riding lights? Here lately I have been doing the half switch trick to turn on both head lights when I am running down the road. I want to do the wiring change that always turns on both lights when the high beam is on and just be aware to not let the bike sit with both lights on as I am now. With the Silver Star bulbs that really does light up the night. I like the look of those big PIAA lights. I gives the bike that Dakar look. |

We need to get ya some Black Zip ties there Jim... Looks really bright at night, probabally overkill to do the both headlights and the driving lights converion? never can have too much forward lighting at night, can't wait till i get the dual headlights up and running. And Jim had to admit he liked the sound of the Uly with no exhaust (Message edited by sportymark on January 28, 2007) |

There is something magic about an open exhaust so long as it is your open exhaust. |

Hey - Just because its winter does not mean the weather has to suck. Kristi and I have a free weekend and were talking about riding to Michael's Sunday morning. I just looked at the ten-day forecast and if it is even close that is not going to happen. Saturday afternoon looks the most promising so far. |

Yes! Got milk last night! And only because we were out - not because of the "s" word! I'm sure the shelves are clear by now! Hope there's still dog and cat food - I was supposed to get those this AM. |

Hey Sporty, what size tire you running on the front? I got new Sport Attacks to put on mine, and the Avon that is on it is practically brand new! Just put it on there 200 miles ago. Got it from Rubberdown, he only had about 13-1400 miles on it when he upgraded for the track tires. PM me if ya need it. 120/70/17 Snow closed the school today, but AutoZone will be selling all the snow"goodies" so I gotta go in a few hours! It's already melting to the point I can see the yard again. |
