Hey Nance, be sure to post some pics when you get it back. You couldn't have picked a better time to get the work done. I'll keep HPC in mind, because the Ascot header tubes have seen better days. I just ordered a new set of Conti sport attacks, knowing I'll need them before summer, possibly before MBIV. Ray Price put new Dunlops on it for free before I picked it up, and I got a grand total of 2500 miles before they were toast. Almost 5000 miles from the Conti road attacks, with good tread on the edges, but has the flat spot, with a decent center tread still left . I hope to get another 1000 miles out of them. I thought about going with the Corsa III, but didn't want to spend the extra dollars. Maybe I'll see you at the sand rally. Take care... |

Jim - You did not go with the local company? Why not? Glitch - How many miles does Black Sunshine's bike have on it? It looks like you guys had a blast (er Lightning) last night. It brings me back to the nights that our defacto director, Brankin and I had working one whose ever bike. It can be almost as fun working on your stuff as it is to ride it, especially in the winter. |

15K.....not many to have the flywheel bearings seize and become one. We had a great time and learned a thing or two. Won't have my bike for MBIV but will still be there. Cameron will have some demo and/or shop Buell for me to deflower. |

We've been working on each others bikes ever since the beginning. We've done quite a bit, from rebuilding a Blast, to simple adjustments. Ever since the beginning this has been the best group of people I've had the pleasure of knowing. |

You did not go with the local company? Why not? Well I went with HPC, just not the Burlington facility. I called them and apparently they are still coming online. They won't be able to do what I needed done in Burlington for another month, so she recomended I ship it to another facility. |

3%ers - Rock on. We have been following your trials and tribulations over the past few months. From the highs of little 3%ers to the lows of accidents and mechanical failures. Any ride you can walk away from, even slowly, is a good one. Like Kristi said, we are available to help at MBIV if needed. Jim - I will probably follow your lead. I want to get my muffler coated too, but I am going to take the bike back to the dealer and ask them to replace the rusted muffler first and then send the new muffler to be coated since my two year warranty will be over in October. I just don't know when. I will probably polish the header or wrap it with heat tape. |

Mark - If you'ed enjoy that project I'm up for it, but I'll let you read the service manual before you decide. You basically have to dissassemble the bike. It was when they started giving snapon part numbers for the special tools I'd need that I decided it was too much for me. It's not that I don't think I can get it apart. I'm a lot more worried about getting it back together. BTW, a Uly with no muffler looks very KTMish. |

We have been following your trials and tribulations over the past few months. We're a dysfunctional family I know. But, we're a tight family. Folks like us have to stick together! Like Kristi said, we are available to help at MBIV if needed. Famous last words... Seriously though, I've got y'alls names, and once we get our Buells in a row, y'all will be first to know. |

Hello to all, found that oil leak on the Blast,it wasn't the rocker box base gasket it was the rubber grommet for the crank case breather tube. This hose is routed back through the air box.I ordered a new one that will be here this week.I may just put a little RTV sealant on it too.Depends on the fit. At the same time I am also going to modify a tail piece for the muffler to deflect the exhaust off the rear tire.My theory is the exhaust exiting the muffler IN FRONT OF THE REAR TIRE may be one cause to extreme rear tire wear.I will find out, well at least have a cool looking exhaust tip. I will post pics during the process. Later all, Webe |

FYI- The HR Manager at work sent out this notice: Please read the notice below about NC inspection procedures. If the driver does not have the vehicle inspected on time, the driver will be responsible for payment of the fine(s). This applies to all NC drivers. DMV INSPECTIONS PROCEDURES Starting January 1, 2007, DMV has implemented a new law that states if your inspection sticker expires you will be fined $250.00. This fine will not come from the inspection station but from the DMV located in Raleigh, NC. Upon inspecting your vehicle all data is transferred to the DMV in Raleigh through computer database. They will detect that your sticker had expired and will send the fine in the mail. If you do not pay the fine it will keep increasing due to fines and penalties. If still not paid when it is time to re-new you tags they will not re-new your tags. 1313 |

I appreciate it Mike. I'll let you know. 1313 - You know since I have not been riding the M2, I have not had the bike inspected. I guess I better have that done and I hope I do not get a fine. |

Hello everyone, getting promotion with the school system this week, fingers crossed. Missed riding the bike so much that I went out and rode some favorite roads in the S-10 today! WHOO HOOOOO! Nothing like hitting a 20 mph curve at 60 blipping the wheel, downshift to third, stomp on the throttle and get the rear end to slide into the curve, turn into the curve, motor hits rev limiter and bounces off it, shift back to 4th as I come out of the curve and she bites and straightens out. Nerves to excited to do it again, so I cranked up some Skillet and flew back to work! Good thing I didn't wear leathers and a helmet, might of had some swelling of ,..... well you know! BS & Glitch- Good to see the spirit never dies. Good to see also that a neck brace is not slowing Charles down, tell him not to tilt far back drinking those brews!!!! Like Kristi said, if there is anything any of us can do to help just say something, consider it done. Everyone- AutoZone is having a clearance on motorcycle/Atv ratchet tiedowns. Pack of 4 camo colored for $5 something, 2 pack for $2.68, bungee cords for 48 cents, gettum fast they won't last long. |

If I gotta break some rules, we are gonna get there. You'll have been here 2-3 times. I think it is only fair to get your way, just don't make me park my bike on the downhill side of your house!!! |

Oldog - Originally I was going to pass on Daytona, but Webe is hinting he wants to go. He is hating that he can not make it to MBIV so wants to ride somewhere and Daytona is the only other thing close (time wise). If he goes, I may go too. I just have to see how the Vacation time is and decide from there. |
