Very Cool Toby. I guess that means you got your Drummer! Yes it is off of Stucki and Cornell. Just a few blocks West of 185th. Turn on Stucki off of Cornell and then turn left on Venetian. if you turn on Allie which is its a physical adderss you cant make it to the parking lot. |

not so much of a ride day as a meet and greet. It sure was fun to have other Buells to ride with though. Did you do the Hokie Pokie? |

yes a good time indeed. as soon as the weather gets just a little big warmer, we'll actually ride more, and spend less time at the dealerships looking for warmer gloves! hope everyone had a safe ride home, and i look forward to seeing you all again. |

I added myself to Rocky's mailing list and also inquired about the Brag meetings. "We usually meet on the third Tuesday of the month and then go on a ride the following Sunday. Meetings are at 7pm at the RAM restaurant in Lake Oswego and rides meet up at Paradise Buell at 10am." I'm sending back an Email to see if there is a meeting this Tuesday if so I'll try to attend. Any one else interested? |

Got an Email back and yes there is a meeting this Tuesday. Meeting more Buellers and having an Oregon Blonde sounds good. |

Attending the meeting this Tuesday would be difficult for me. However if they still plan on a ride this Sunday coming up. I am all for that. Looks like this weekend will be a good 10 degrees warmer, mid 40's with only a 20% chance of rain. So it will probably be nice day. I will probably have to try the next meeting in February. |

All, I wont make the Tuesday meeting, or a ride this weekend, but keep the page updated. Hell see if you can get Roc to post with us... Post ride report: Cold tire + Cold pavement + A bit too much right wrist (and possibly some gravel or a wet spot, but unconfirmed) = 1 each broken mirror 1 each broken footpeg 1 pair bent bars 1 scuffed swing arm slider. (get em on if you don't have em...) 1 set trashed first gear jacket and pants (DAMM, only one season) 2 each minor bruises, one on leg, one on arm. 1 each major bruise, direct to ego. 1 tiny scuff on header. 1 bent plate. All part of the expierance I guess. Bike and I will survive, Wallet is approaching life support None the less, GREAT to meet you all, I had a good time! can't wait to do it again, but I',ll need bars and I guess do the drummer now, so I'm down for a bit. Toby, want to sell the City X bars when you get the crossroads on? I'm considering the black ones to replace the stockers. I've also got a pair of X-1 bars on the blast I could rob. Then again, the clip on's look sooooo good. Opinions? Clip on's? Renthall's? Stockers? Ape hangers? |

Ape hangers and highway pegs would be sweet for the twisties. Seriously though, I think the Crossroads would be the way to go. The extra lean would be more comfortable for me on the CityX. I don't know how much you lean forward on a Long, but if it is like mine you might like the xtra reach. Then again if you want to be more upright then check out the Renthals or CityX bars. I don't know how much taller the bars are on a CityX or if they are taller at all but you're welcome to sit on mine to get an idea. I have a Dirt bike catalog with quite few different brands of bars in it, you may be able to find a nice color option to dress up Scarlet even more. Jes lemme kno if ya need sumpin. |

Am I readin this right? You laid down Scarlet!?!?!?! Glad you are OK if that is the case. CityX bars are the same hight as stockers on an S or Ss. Can't wait t get out riding with you all! Cord |

I guess it must be the crossbar that makes the bars look taller. Good to know. Definitely will not be going to the meeting in this weather, I guess I'll try to make February. |

Yep, Scarlet and I played one round of slap the tank and then she bucked me. Left my sense of adventure in the ditch with half my footpeg... Again I'm fine, Bike is fine. All part of the expieriance. Hard to not pull the trigger on the crossroads, not many options out there. |

yeah, this weather is for definitively not conducive to riding...i guess i'll try to make the february meeting as well. Paul - make me an offer on those bars if you're interested! come to think of it, i also have the stocker mirrors that i removed when i put my bar end on - i think they're the same mirrors for both bikes. so if you're interested in one (or both) mirrors, let me know also. i'm still a little ways out from installing my crossroads (i've got 'em sitting here in my garage - but i just don't know when i'll get the time to install) but if you can hold out a few weeks, i'd sell them to you...let me know! hope to see you all for another ride soon! |

Paul, glad to hear your ok. Those footpegs break easy, I bought spares. I broke one at PIR on the track and one when I first got my bike and had a little spill. Luckily they are cheap. Take it easy, we won't be seeing riding weather for a while anyway. |

Toby, How about I come over and help you put the crossroads on? I'm not bad with a set of wrenches, and it'd give me the chance to see if I want em' If I like the crossroads, I'll pick up a set from Al. If not, we'll talk city cross bars. Hell we could even open the invite up... No worries on the mirrors, I'll do the bar ends. Not sure if I'll replace the ground up slider or not yet... Thanks for all the support Julie and Cord... |

Hey Borrowed, Sorry to hear about the mishap. I've got the following that might help: 1. OE mirror... left side (free); 2. OE handlebar (free); 3. ProTaper SE (7/8" dia.) handlebar, "Carmichael" bend (less pull-back than CR Low), narrowed for XBS use, with crossbar and pad, ($40); Let me know if you need any of this. Mark Salem |

Mark, Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind. I have a pair of OE bars available, but have never looked at the ProTaper. Do you have more details? I'll spend the $250 on crossroads if I decide they are the best fit for my ride / comfort. Mirrors I've got handled. Thanks again! |

Oh, and XBSwede - my wife wanted me to mention that she's a self-proclaimed klutz, but has ridden 10k miles pretty much crash-free since 1st taking the Team Oregon beginners' course in late 2004. She wants more motogals to ride with, so tell your Mrs. to go for the class this Spring! |

Hey Sweatmark, I graduated 10/17/04 from Chemeketa. Perhaps we were in the same class. She has me smoked on miles though, I'm at about 5k with one scare but no scrapes. P.S. This is the new touring model from Polaris/Victory http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/Victory/Vis ion/Experience/ |
