I know but it sure looks like fun. I have also considered a M2 or a S3T due to funding issues. I would like a Uly but I fear I will want to wheelie it.......................... |

New12r...you would wheelie a big wheel! when do you want to try this adventure? I think we should have one pre-MB run to work out the bugs and pick the spots. You have a good weekend in February? |

> I have also considered a M2 or a S3T due to funding issues. A tuber should be a good wheelie deterrent too. You only have to change one belt on those to realize what a gigantic pain in the ass it is compared to the XBs, and then you'll never risk breaking one again. |

"You only have to change one belt on those to realize what a gigantic pain in the ass it is compared to the XBs" Ah Grasshopper, you didn't consider the Venerable S2.It has Removable sideplates. Very easy to change belts.Besides,I got 52,000 miles out of mine including wheelies! |

I think its a great Idea to gather all the people and equipment we can find... get together and setup short runs maybe 5-10 miles long then once the group passes we all meet at another spot... then if you guys want we can bring it all back to my place in the mountains and edit it all and make some sweet DVDs... I got everything we need here to do it... just a thought... that way we could have multiple peoples input... I dunno... I have... Digital camera bike cam another video camera... maybe two... stealth BS lets talk tomorrow night about it... if I make it... BS come join us bro... and we will have your bike back up and running by then... RIGHT? glass half full... right? |

> Sanchez, you don't mind if I crash there do you? Not a problem. > gather all the people and equipment we can find I have a video camera, and I'll have a bullet cam in time for MBIV. I'll also try to have a laptop with a firewire port on hand so we can rip everyone's video off and consolidate it on site before people run off. |

M2's wheelie just lovely and I have 30K+ on my belt with little sign of wear. Now mind you more abuse with a tuber = more down time. But reading this blog for the last several years it seems the XB's are about the same... The Sporty based engine was never meant for sustained running at 6K rpm's and the beatings we deliver upon it in Buell chasseys half it's life expectancy I'm sure. Few Sporty owners will know the joy of powering out of a curve with the front wheel in the air thou. Thats the price you pay for performance. Also with S2's, X1's and M2's you can often find them for sale between 3-4 grand, what a smoking deal on a American Hot rod. Especially if you've got an extra grand burning a hole in your pocket for go fast goodies, not that most used bikes in that price range don't come very well set up. Can't see ever letting my trusty rusty M2 go for the song of todays prices even with all it's ills. The H-D love/hate experience is like any deep relationship, you have to be committed! |

I call fun job of the day in about 10 mintues...bus duty in the 34 degree drizzles. Never fails that they run and jump in the puddles just close enough to get you. I would rather be riding too, but my bike has been "absent" for about two weeks now. I miss her!!! Hint, hint Smokescreen |

Thought this might help everyone get through this cold Friday with a chuckle. THINGS YOU WOULD LOVE TO SAY OUT LOUD AT WORK: 1. I can see your point, but I still think you're full of shit. 2. I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce. 3. How about never? Is never good for you? 4. I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public. 5. I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to see it my way. 6. I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter. 7. I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message. 8. I don't work here. I'm a consultant. 9. It sounds like English, but I can't understand a damn word you're saying. 10. Ahhh...I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again... 11. I like you. You remind me of myself when I was young and stupid. 12. You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers. 13. I have plenty of talent and vision; I just don't give a damn. 14. I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth. 15. I will always cherish the initial misconceptions I had about you 16. Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view. 17. The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist. 18. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental. 19. What am I? Flypaper for freaks!? 20. I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant. 21. It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn Off. 22. And your crybaby whiny-assed opinion would be...? 23. Do I look like a people person? 24. This isn't an office. It's Hell with fluorescent lighting. 25. I started out with nothing & still have most of it left. 26. Sarcasm is just one more service we offer. 27. If I throw a stick, will you leave? 28. Errors have been made. Others will be blamed. 29. Whatever kind of look you were going for, you missed. 30. I'm trying to imagine you with a personality. 31. A cubicle is just a padded cell without a door. 32. Can I trade this job for what's behind door #1? 33. Too many freaks, not enough circuses. |

I really don't mind my Cheesegrater. I think the look suits the bike. And my bike is not going for self mutilation to identify itself with any particular religion. I mean...other than the Bikini Bottom cult. |
