Ross, You can't be serious. If I see a black Firebolt out there anywhere I'll make sure to hold the bastard at gunpoint until the cops show up. Also, anyone wanting to come hang out tomorrow, people will be getting here around 10am. E-mail me for directions. |

It was stolen out of an apartment complex near Westeimer and Hayes st. west of the beltway. Must have happened early morning Mon. cause I last last saw it at about midnight on Sun. Woke up the next morning and it was GONE! |

Hello, I was just lurking and noticed Archers post about his XB9R being stolen. What a bummer, I hope you find it, unscathed! I'm from Kansas City and used to get to Houston quite a bit, but currently have a police situation keeping me from driving in Tx...Unpaid speeding ticket! I would say that it would be easy to spot since there aren't many black XB9Rs around. I want to make a trip down there and do a track day, but until I have other matters resolved, can't do it. Archer I hope everything works out well, insurance claims are a B!#ch! Good Luck See Ya, Joe |

Thank you I appreciate it. It has been pretty rough on me. You develop a certain attachment even though it is only a machine. Everything will work out. Hope to see you down here soon. I should have a new scooter here pretty quick. Happy Easter everyone! |

Archer, Ok, if I find the bastard I'll hold him at gunpoint until YOU get there How about we hold him down and you can do a burnout on his crotch then ride a wheelie up his chest and over his face? R-T, If he's not, I might be if the price is right. Actually I'm sure I can't afford it. I am looking for a new bike, though. The S2 is going in the living room except for special occasions (like the Ride for Kids next weekend). If anyone knows of a light (under 425# dry) bike with at least 100 horsepower let me know. I'm looking to spend up to $4k cash (literally, $100 bills) depending on condition. Y'all missed a good time Saturday. After we put a new tire on a Gixxer, changed a V-Strom's oil, and screwed around with a few other things we all geared up and headed out. 180 miles up around Lake Livingston. A few too many minivans, SUVs, and logging trucks, but we found some good roads and had fun. I discovered 2 things: my S2 likes to be ridden between 3k and 4k on back roads and I need an HJC Symax so I don't annoy everyone with my smoke breaks The TSBA guys are meeting in the parking lot at Luther's at 45 and Woodson at, I believe, 7:30 Sunday for the Ride for Kids. Anyone that wants to hang out is more than welcome to meet us there. Should be at least a half dozen sportbikes of various makes. Just look for the white Buell |

Why on Earth would you put your S2 in the living room to be relegated to parade duty?? |

I'm scared shitless of dropping it and having to spend $2500 on bodywork, assuming I could actually find any. I'd be a ton less scared if I was on a bike that I could get bodywork for, especially if it's cheap. A full set of glass skins for a ZX6R, for example, is about $575. It doesn't mean, however, that I won't be riding the hell out of the S2, though. I just won't take her on our 100 MPH, peg grinding, tire mutilating, Sunday morning death rides A 400 pound Ninja 600 is much more suitable. Now I gotta get back to duct taping the holes in my shoes (asphalt + leaning way the hell over = dead shoes) and mounting my GPS (zip ties are your friend!) |

White: If you can do rudimentary fiberglass repair and paint, you can find used S2 glass all over eBay. I need around $6K for the Duke, and I'm pretty sure it's on the wrong side of 100 HP! It's sweet, though...I've just got too many bikes, and I'm lusting for for a shovelhead FL project! r-t |

RT, I can do beyond rudimentary glass work. Given a set of body parts I can make molds and replicate it in extreme detail. I've goofed and picked up details of stickers that were good enough to be legible in finished parts. Oops. I'm ok at painting. Have the equipment, but haven't done it enough to really be good. If I could find a full set of glass in good enough shape (I can get a brand new tail easily) I'd consider pulling molds and making a set in carbon, then painting reversed flames so the flames would be carbon with an ice white pearl background. Expensive as hell, but it would be cool. The glass tail is pretty heavy, too, so I could probably drop a couple of pounds that way. But it would still be a losing battle since it would be tough to get over 100 horsepower out of the engine for less than a couple grand (ported T-Storm heads, cams, exhaust, Davinci carb, etc) and even more expensive to lose 75 pounds. Don't get me wrong, I love my bike and she's my most prized possession, which is pretty much the reason for wanting another. I also want to start racing sometime soon, so I want a streetbike setup pretty much the same as the racebike except for lights, mirrors, kickstand, etc. I'd love to get a pair of ZX6RRs, but $16k + the race kit for one is way, way out of my price range. If I even think about that too long my bank sends over a couple of guys with crooked noses to make me stop it Yup, the Monster is out of my price range. The 900 part didn't click at first. |

White95S2, I wish I'd met you before I started this little project: I'm getting pretty close to the end, but I could have used some expert fiberglass advice! r-t |

Ok, that's cool. Might have to do that myself. I suck at sculpting plugs, but once I have something to work with I can do just about anything If you need any help with any of what's left, let me know. At least it would be an excuse to get on the bike |

Anyone that wants to meet with the TSBA guys for the Ride for Kids Sunday, here's the info: http://www.tsba.org/UBB/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=000582 The plan right now is to meet at Luther's at 7:45, but I'm trying to convince them it would be more sane to meet just north of there near the old Red Lobster. Keep an eye on that URL for any changes. |

Several of us were planning on meeting at the McDonalds just up the frontage road from Luther’s that White95s2 is speaking of. Sounds like we can all hook up and ride together, we planned on getting there around 7:30 a.m. |
