My camera sucks ass in low light. All those pictures are ISO 400 (the highest sensitivity it has), and they're noisy as hell. It would've been better if Gixxer Corner curved the other way (or if we'd been shooting in the morning) so the sun would've been behind the inside of the corner instead of the outside. I tried ISO 200, but it was just too dark to get the shutter speed I wanted. Maybe next time I'll try a lower shutter speed. I was shooting 1/500, but I've seen some really good panning bike shots as low as 1/250. Next month when the annual bonus and tax returns come in, I'm going to buy a camera that doesn't take pictures at ISO400. |

Sanchez, Your right..... Its all in the position of the foot and the body. My form in that pic was very lazy.... Let ball of your foot ride on the peg and your heel pointed in to the bike and slide your butt off the seat in the direction of your turn. Their are a couple different ways to set up to do it. We can do a knee dragging clinic if ya'll want. I don't drag my knee as much now that I've been doing it for a while. I see guys on the track that almost never drag their knees and are much faster than me. Then you have some guys that will go through a pair of pucks in a single race. Go figure... Buellish needs some knee pucks on his bags if he gets any closer. That was a fun ride, I had a blast today. Everyone rode good and safe...... |

Sanchez.....I got you some Frontline today. 6 months worth. I'll call you tomorrow. Thanks guys for the support. I'm really bummed. It doesn't look good and couldn't be worse timing. I'm not sure what I am going to do. I can't be putting a lot of money into it that is for sure. I'm just gonna set on it for a few days and let my emotions settle down. I don't want to do anything rash. |

> They must have been out of Black Ulys, the day you went to shop. Funny you should say that. My bike actually is a black Ulysses. SMHD had one black and one orange in the shop. The black one already had the luggage racks attached, and it was simpler just to swap plastics than to install a new rack, so they traded colors with the orange. > I'm really bummed. Well, mi garage su garage. I've got a service manual and a variety of hammers whenever you're ready to bust that sucker open! |

"The Cooling Fan Symphony when we stopped at Morganton cracked me up." Our token BMW rider,Winn K thought it amusing as well.I don't think he had ever heard 5 vacuume cleaners run at the same time! I noticed a major fault with his bike.It doesn't shake below 2500 rpm like a proper motorcycle. |

Wish I had got to ride with all of you. I am feeling better and yesterday I was pretty much back on target. It was fun blasting 60 again and also blasting a few sportbikes. Wish I had a Buell but for now my SV will do just fine. Betty enjoyed the visit from Jeremy yesterday. He is one class act. Maybe next time we will ride. |

Sorry we couldn't get out Sunday too...But hanging sheetrock on a ceiling was way more fun... Mrs. Glitch, that's my favourite Super-moto corner. I drug my bar-end mirror on that one! |

Mountainrider, Buellish, are either of you familiar with NF-95? I don't know what kind of road it might be, but I was poking around Google maps and found it about 1/4 mile south of Gixxer Corner where we took the pictures yesterday. I don't know if it's something we can ride, but it sure looks awesome from space. http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&ie=UTF8&om=1& z=16&ll=34.797929,-84.189734&spn=0.012422,0.020084 &t=h Duc, I have total camera envy now. I'm jonesing for a 30D. Should I bother getting one with the kit lens? Or should I just put the extra money toward something better? Do you have any lens recommendations? I know you like the IS stuff. I want to get at least one long lens for motorsports and a shorter one for close up shots. The wider the aperture, the better. |

Well, I've come to a decision. I will NOT be fixing the Buell. I can't see dumping anymore cash into it. I will be selling it and try to salvage some cash. It will be a good project bike/track/donorcycle. Here the plan: I will offer it to any 3%ers first that would want it to fix or whatever with it. Next: I will post in the BadWeb Classified to keep it in the Buell Community. Third: Ebay Fourth: If it doesn't sell then I will keep it until I can fix it. (New car/house/baby...that might be a while). $2500.00 obo Ulitimatley....I will go the Super Motard route. I've been jonesen for a while now for one and since the XB died then it seems logical. Extremely fun and logical. |

You guys look like you had a blast Sunday. Wish we could have joined you. Sanchez will be teasing me for a while about my chicken strips but at least I' wasn't so far behind on Saturday you guys had enough time to pull over for a smoke like in the past. I'm getting there! |

B_S, do you know what is wrong with the bike yet? It might sound bad, but might not be completely blown up. I would not recommend dumping it until you know what is wrong with it. Just my 2 cents. |

Sanchez, dropping the motor should be a breeze in your clean garage!!! Prolly take you about 3 hours or so to get the motor out. |

B_S: I don't have a lot of time, but I'm willing to lend a hand to check out your engine. It's hard to imagine not seeing and hearing your bike on the road again with you on board, but I understand the importance of family and finances coming first before toys, not to mention Super Motard fever. |

Hey Duc_htr, did you ever get your footage from MBIII compiled? There was some footage of me chasing Drift that I really wanted a copy of. I can't remember the name to the road, but it's the one that has that big parking lot and hiker's logde at the top. |
