Well, the real "Bad Weather Bikers" showed last night - Rich, Isham and myself.

On a more serious note, I spoke with Ken Barner yesterday afternoon (KensBuell). He is the General Manager of Seminole Buell and has invited us to meet at the shop next Wednesday evening at 6.

He would like to meet everyone, introduce us to his staff, show us around the shop and show off one of the new TT's that just arrived this week.

I've spoke with Keith, Rich and Isham so far and all have agreed to meet there instead of at Barnie's (not sure I'll be able to afford the sales hit, but I'll have to live).

I told Ken I would call him by Friday to let him know if we'd be meeting there, so, unless anyone objects, I'll call him and let him know we'll be there.

Let's put our best foot forward and give him a chance.

I think it would be great to see if we can get everyone to out to seminole buell next wednesday. Maybe even if you know a few other non buell bikers/stunters invite them.

I'm trying to get down to lakeland HD saturday but 20miles on new wheel bearings and front left has failed grease spilling everywhere. Gotta take the bike back into the shop after work. I'm sure they wont have it done for me to ride on saturday so I don't know.

Isham:

If the wheel axle is over tightened it will cause the BEARING/BEARINGS to "FAIL" ...

If you put too much grease in sealed bearings it will come out ...

REMEMBER THIS: the seal that makes the bearing a sealed bearing is just a HIGH TECH DUST(water) COVER !!!

Raise it up off the ground a spin the wheel, if the bearing is bad you can hear/feel it ... If it passes this test, just wipe off the excess grease it will be fine ...

This was grease for sure. The cover to the bearings popped off. It's at the shop now wont have it till tuesday.

They have to order a wheel spacer. The tech tells me the spacer was rubbing against the wheel and is damaged. I wonder if that means the wheel is toast also.

They have been pretty good to me and have said they will fix it at no cost.

Pics from the Orlando Buell meeting at the stand alone Seminole Buell Store. A nice group was present along with the employees of the store (and LaFayette from Lakeland). Nice start to getting an Orlando Buell group going. A special thanks to Ron and the crew for drinks/snacks and the open house.

Ok, moving to Kissimmee in the next few weeks and was looking at the pictures from tonight and seeing everyone getting all buttoned up when it must have been around 55 degrees outside there. I am thinking "WOW" you guys have been in Florida to long. I leave my house with a sweat shirt and my textile jacket with jeans and its 25, just so I can enjoy the nice WARM Ride home at 52. Of course next year this time I will be the same way. Makes me glad to be moving there...No ice hanging on my nose...Or my throttle freezing closed (was better than freezing open) on the way to work last winter at 19. Hope to be meeting you all soon, Larry. C3(NC) transferee.
