How'd you like Wildwings? |

I liked it alot. The only thing is I wish there was better seating other than backless bar stools. I'll have to go there again and actually try the wings. I was in a nacho crave last night. |

There about the only good wings in town, except for the Dublin... Doesn't look like any good riding weather for a couple weeks.

And some very cold nights by the end of next week. Paul, I removed my inner 07 air box completely. I then cut the top off of my old 06 air box and installed it as a lid to hold the K&N. My own open air box kit. Weather has been too bad for me to go out and test ride since the install so I have no idea how much noise it will make yet. Now all I need is the new transparent air cover. Oh! by using the top off of the original air box I was able to keep the servo mounting in place until I get an exhaust upgrade. |

Nice. I'm no expert, but from the posts I've read, you'll need to be on the lookout for detonation. Any word for Kevin on the Drummer? I'll wait until I hear yours before I try, or just but your 07 box if you don't want it anymore. |

Yes I an now #3. But with the holiday I am short on CASH. So I asked Kevin to push me back a few. With the weather I am not missing anything though. Detonation! I hope not, you think my exhaust will be too restrictive? Rocky at Paradise Harley told me that I can bring my bike down for a Dyno run for $40. This would give me a good indication of what he AFV are doing with my current setup. |

$40? That's worth every cent. I assume with a SS Drummer and wide open air box you'll be pumping a lot more air and may lean out. Lots of power, but lots of damage if you take it too far. |

I will take it easy on the WOT until I can get a Dyno done. |

Tuesday night is 40c wing night, half price. 24 of the suckers and a drink for less than 15 bucks with a tip. A group of us goes every Tuesday about 10PM. If you'd like sauce advice, try them all! My fav is the hot BBQ. Hooters rocks but it's a bit of a drive. We should all make a run there sometime! I was told Rock at paradise really knows his chit. My 9 with the Drummer, race ECM and race filter seems a bit rich. I want to toy with the airbox a bit but I'm confused with how many types there are. My 05 9 box is different than a 12 box? Or different from a different year box. I need pics. LOL |

I think the airbox is always the same for a 9 and 12 of the same years. Not sure if the airbox changed when the notch was taken out of the frame and air was inducted over the gas filler, that might be something to look at. Yeah, I thought about tryin' the different sauces, but I wasn't doing well with choices. The four different beers might have played a part in that. I eventually stuck with the Blue Moon. Hooligans for Hooters sounds good and it's on the way to Paradise. Paradise Harley that is. |

I can post the 12 box and my mod tomorrow after taking some pictures. Here is a link on an older airbox lid 04 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/60032.html The biggest difference is the nipple on the bottom side of the 12 that helps direct air into the vortex |

I took my bike for a ride today. Fairly short only 45 min. But It was enough to feel the difference. I like it. It is defiantly louder during acceleration. I spent the first 15 minutes running at about a steady 3000 rpm. Then I opened up a little. I will need to ride more to really know if it made a big differences but I know it did effect the mid range. When going into WOT at 3K rpm in 4th it seems to have some power lag at 3.5 rpm and then picks up real strong at about 3.7k rpm to red-line. No popping what so ever upon throttle release. 4th gear is the only gear that seems to have this issue. Can't wait for the weather to get a little nicer for some longer rides. Cord see pictures below for air box. I also included my old 06 box that I cut up.

Hooters Sucks. Just my opinion. Food sucks. Perhaps, given our shared fondness for the wing, we can make WildWings the future rally point? More importantly. The gods smiled on me today. Took the kids Ice Skating in the AM, and they wanted a nap when we got home. Wife asked me to run one of those errands you can fit in the pocket of a motorcycle jacket. And it was dry out. I got over the 500 Mile mark and finally got to leg out Scarlet. WOW! that was fun. I made the turn form Helvatia road onto West Union heading west and rolled it on. Lets just say "Posted limits were not being observed" Under 3000 RPM, it's just a commuter. At about 4500 she just seems to come alive! I'll lay in bed dreaming of warmer and cleaner roads... |

I love my buell saddle bags for the errand possibilities. At first I thought I would use my bags for longer trips, but the convenience of having them on for daily errands have made more possibilities to ride and I haven't taken them off since I put them on. I have also employed the use of a net a few times for larger items. Perhaps you could find the bags at Paradise for a good price if you wanted them. I plan on buying some sort of gloves for the colder temps if I can find something I like. Anybody got gloves they are wearing from a Harley store that work in 40 degree temp? |

Hooters may not have great food, but they sell wings aaannd breasts. Wildwings could try to copy Hooters and make calendars showing of their buffalo girls. |

So on my 05 I have the intake snorkel and a completely different box than the ones you posted, correct. The one on the left looks to be a winner. That box requires no snorkel and the box cover with the vents at the front? I like Hooters Wings, love their breasts. Wild wings is just plain good. |

Cord, looks like a 12 air box upgrade is in your future. Paul, I plan on holding onto my 07 air box until after I get my muffler and a Dyno check. If at that time you have not purchased one I can sell you mine if still interested. I still have not made it in to a Hooters. Maybe one of these days. I will have tor try Wild Wings some time. |

Phil, Why do then need to be from an HD store? I got a steal on a pair of Alpinstars from a honda store. Plenty warm for 40 degree days, especialy if you still have the handguards on. Aron, When I get the drummer on (Call it six more weeks?) I'll hit you up again about the 07 Airbox. If Destination (Errr I mean Paradise) is having a sale and the weather is warm enough, perhaps a group ride is in order next weekend? |

Sounds good. I was planning on riding down if the weather is not too bad in the middle of the day. Six more weeks, man you might just beat me with the drummer. I had to push mine out to March 1st. I almost wish Kevin would have taken my money when I first ordered it so I couldn't spend it over the holidays. Any way my bonus check comes on March 1st and it is all going towards my bike before my wife spends it. |

I have cash in hand, just need to decide on when to take the downtime... Middle of the day sounds good next weekend. Sat or Sun. Anyone got any commitments they can't get out of? |

Paul, I only mentioned gloves from a Harley store because I thought I might find them when I go to the Paradise sale. However, if I don't find something I like Beaverton Honda would be the next stop. What Alpinestar gloves are they? As for the weekend it looks like Sunday would be best for me around 1:30. Just make sure you overnight the Drummer and put it on before then so I can listen to the real thing instead of the sound byte on the website. (Message edited by buellballs on January 08, 2007) |

Looks like 1:30 Sunday should work for me too. Cord, you can set the pace. If your ready to ride we'll stick by you. Phil, I'm in SR-3 Drystars this time of year. If you want to look this weekend the Buell X Gloves look good, but I've never worn them. http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/apparel/index.asp? Menu_ID=1&CategoryID=5 |

What's the meeting spot Starbucks, Wildwings, other? Had a chance to stop by Beaverton Honda to check out some gloves, I do like the SR-3 and ST-1. Never could try on the Buell gloves, Paradise was closed for inventory. |

I'd suggest Wildwings. Better parking. We can be early and eat. If we want to make a scene, we can do Starbucks. Someone decide! Cord. Well done! Takes more bravery to tell us your not ready to ride than it would of to bite the bullit an take a chance. |
