Lowflyer, yes...if y'all come back down and visit again! This thing really throws a kink in what I thought I wanted. I was originally planning on trading up to the XB12SS and then maybe finding a used/salvaged XB12R for the track. Oh well, its fun to lust after bikes. Good thing I have all winter to mull it over. There is an Aprilia dealer here in Tulsa. I might go pay them a visit tomorrow. The thing that worries me about a bike like this is the dealer support, scheduled maintenance, parts availability, etc. I'll find out tomorrow. Then, I think you should definitely buy one. Kidding aside, it looks like a sweet ride. Track days on it would probably make you soil yourself. Parts availability would worry me. Daves doesn't sell Aprilias. |

But DaveS OWNED an Aprilia. Ask him about his satisfaction with it. I love the things and they keep getting better looking. Wish I had money. Tripper rebuilding a free 750seca |

Tripper, Did you ever sell your S1? I thought I remember you saying it was for sale awhile ago. I went to Atlas Cycle here in Tulsa and they did not have one in stock. They did, however, have an impressive selection of every other European bike. (BMW's, Triumph, Ducati, and Aprilia). Sat on a Speed Triple and liked it. Not too bad for under $10k and over 120 HP. The Buells are still on top of my list, though. |

Hey Drake; yes, the S1 went to MSP to an enthusiastic motorhead. Have'nt heard from him so I hope it's doing well. I miss that hunk a sheet. You likin Tulsa? I always liked the town, but its a little bit, oh, conservative? My uncle was Oral Roberts comptroller when he started ORU. don't start....

Dave, Yes, I am enjoying Tulsa even more than I thought I would. People are generally friendlier and more approachable down here. The job is fantastic and it has opened a lot of doors for me. Career opportunities are well worth the hassle of a relocation. I have met lots of motorcyclist, many of them being outside the Buell world. (Frankly, because there are just not that many down here.) It has been an mind opening experience riding with people with ALL SORTS of bikes. The taxes are higher then I thought they would be. Sales tax is over 8.5%. Other then that, I do feel very much in the Midwest, which I like. All the Chiefs games are on TV and 5(!) Kansas State football games were televised down here this year. I don't feel that far from home! |

Kansas State, they still have a football team? Wow figured they would have given up on that sport years ago!

There is no football outside of Michigan. |

Is Michigan even a state? Everybody knows Texas is the center of the football universe. |

Hey Tim, K-State only beat a little team called TEXAS this year. (Yeah, they were ranked 4th). They also got invited to play Rutgers (10-2) in the first ever Texas Bowl in Houston later this month. (Message edited by dtx on December 05, 2006) |

Texas has to let other teams win sometimes. If they didn't, there would be nobody left to play. |

Its about time you guys beat us in Manhattan. Gonna wait another decade to do it again? In all seriousness, though, I was rooting for Nebraska in the Big 12 title game against Oklahoma. If they could have just taken advantage of all that great field position. They just couldn't score... (Message edited by dtx on December 06, 2006) |

Drake, I was at the game and had a great time, but we could just not get it going when we had the ball. I will say that our defense did a good job given what they had to work with the 2nd half. Hey did anyone see a Longhorns on the field at the Big 12 Championship game?? I know I sure didn't, nope not one bit of Longhorn Orange there on the field. Once you are able to win the Big 12 South and not get SMACKED around by an unranked K-State late in the season then you can come in here and talk. I'm all for the Texas bashing, but damn I hate Nebraska. Nothing was better than the game in Manhattan my Freshman year when we beat Nebraska! The were supposed to hand us our asses, but instead they got bounced from the National title and Big 12 title hunt! To bad we couldn't beat A&M in the Big 12 title game that year. My parents were going to give me tickets to the National Title game if we wouldn't have self destructed in the 2nd half of the Big 12 game. Oh well. I still got to watch one of the better teams in college football during the 5 years I was in school without leaving Manhattan! |

Texas won the whole show last year, they figure it's someone else's turn. Only an Okee (lowest form of white man on earth next to a Nebraskard) would be so selfish as to hang on to a title year over year. (Message edited by lowflyer on December 07, 2006) |

Going well. I got back from NYC Tuesday night. I flew Cristy and I up there for her birthday. We were there from Friday till Tuesday night. We spent 10 hours in the Cincinnati airport getting drunk because of the weather on our way up there, but other than that it was a great trip. Other than that I'm just working and going to school. I've got a couple weeks to finish a ration of BS for my two classes and then I have a two week break from school. I'm half way done with my MBA at the end of this session on the 23rd. Taking two classes (Full Time) and working full time is a real pain in the ass, but I've only got to do it two more times. After that I'm only taking one class at a time until I graduate at the end of February of 08. It sounds like Tulsa is treating you well! I'm glad it is all working out. |

James, I did not know you were going back for your MBA. That's cool. This spring you will have to come down and ride Arkansas with me. |

Yeah, it is the worst great decision I've ever made. It is such a pain in the ass, but I'm sure I'll be happy I did it once I finish up. I got a B on my final last night, so I got an -A in my Finance and Accounting class. I'm a little pissed about it since I had a 95% through out the entire class till the final. I'm going to see if I can talk my way in to a solid A because it effects my GPA. |

I'll get an idea of how much it is going to help me just after I finish since I'll be looking for a new job as I'm finishing my last class. I'm half way through now, and my planned graduation date is February of 2008. At least that is when I'm finished with my classes and I'll walk in May if I'm still around the area or I think it is a big enough deal to fly back. The company I work for now doesn't have the work to be able to afford me at that point, so it is going to be interesting to see what jobs I will qualify for. In Feb of 08 I'll have a 4 month HR internship, a year and a half as an HR assistant, two and a half years running my own one person HR department, my MBA and a Masters Certificate in HR on my resume. I'm probably going to be looking for an HR Manager position for a larger employer for my next career move, but I'll probably apply for anything between that and Director of HR. Salaries will depend on where I'm looking, but hopefully it will be a substantial increase compared to what I make now. I think I'll have about $50,000 in student loans between undergrad and graduate school by that point, so I better make some decent money so I can afford my student loan payments!
