Dang, you could hear a pin drop in here. If anyone is interested this Friday and Saturday is the annual indoor flat track racing series winter stop in Timonium. It is held in the Cow Palace at the fairgrounds. Parking is FREE and its only $10 to get in. If your interested check out the Baltimore Trail Riders Association website. The wife and I are headin up on Sat and I know she'll have the camera handy. Hope to catch a tube frame Blast that was runnin last year. Dress warm and prepare for 1/10th mile INDOOR motorcycle racing. Nearly horizontal and SUPER close in the turns. Its always a good time and there are kids racing classes for youngins on little bikes. I don't follow flat trackin but this vent is a great time and I used to compete up until I sold my MXer. Enjoy Bullseye |

Yup, it's been quiet around here... I may be out Sunday after noon (12PM) for those of you who want to go out for a spin. My bikes are looking awful lonely...I think they even have a light layer of dust on them. Have to take care of that... I'll post something Saturday night (late) or early Sunday morning. I've got a gig Saturday night, I'll take it easy on the partying... There's a new MD Sportbikes board (1-2 weeks old) based out of Columbia here's the link : http://md-sportbikes.com/index.php Sign up and let's represent. I've only gone on a few rides with the local sportbike crowd and well, let's just say it's more fun riding with Buell riders but I'm not giving up, I've met some cool folks. |

Made it out to the Flat Track event on Friday night and had a great time. Me and my daughter braved the cold and sat through the first two round of heat races before the 27 degree heat wave drove us out, and it was 10:30. I get tingles watchin those guys slide the bikes into the turns and even the kids classes were close at times. I can't wait till the weather breaks and I can get on the street again. Oh, and I REALLY miss having a play bike now. |

I have a free trip to the Hustler club, and a hand full of Bunny Bucks from a friends Birthday so its a toss-up between bikes and jumblies this weekend. I have a love hate relationship with bike races. I like to go watch but I love to go participate. After watchin last weekend I've been CAD drawing a flat-track/sumo bike using an RM-Z frame and a Blast engine. Unless anyone has a Blast frame I can cut the steering neck out of and start from scratch with just a VIN. Maybe one of the MSF course mules would make a good hybrid base. I keep getting outbid on Ebay. (OK focus one project at a time first finish the Cyclone........Sorry I have no inner monologue) |

Hey everybody looking into attending a Lee Parks Total Control class in '07 sometime in July it's for riders who have 5,000 miles of riding, and kind of fills the gap between the MSF ERC class and track day instruction http://www.totalcontroltraining.net This is the link to it. It would be neat to get other Buell riders to go along. |

I plan on completing a similar course through FCC. On other news: I'll be riding with a few members from the newly created MD-Sportbikes.com board this Saturday. We're meeting at the rt.32 & 70 underpass at 9am. Current route will take us west and north towards Gettysburg (High Point). Let me know if you wanna go. I'd like to extend this trip but as usual I lack the knowledge of fun roads and navigational experience to be creative (I wish Santa would put a GPS in one of my stockings, but this is highly unlikely). -Ras |

Too bad you all aren't riding Sunday. Anyway, I've seen one of those GPS's for the bikes and it looks as though it would be difficult to read and ride simultaneously. Do the small units talk like those for cars? |

1K...wow, damn expensive but cool for long trips or wandering around out in the country. BTW, the MD/DC/Virginia contingency ought to meet up at the International Motorcycle Show on January 12-14th. 2Kx1 tells me there is a Hooters about a block away |
