"For Thunder Club,it is yet to be determined just how we are going to continue and in what manner BUT IN ORDER TO CONTINUE, WE MUST HAVE RIDER INTEREST AND SUPPORT." motoboss so everyone, this saturday at 12:00pm is our monthly meeting. attendance has been somewhat dismal recently. if you would like the club to continue, showing up this saturday would be prudent. h-d/b of b has been very good to us. the chances of us staying together as a fun, productive group with rides and events to attend without the coordination and help from everyone at the dealer's areZERO. it would be a shame to have things cease due to lack of interest. time to rise to the call. no half-assed excuses......if you don't have a legit reason to miss the meeting, BE THERE !! |

Sorry I didn't make it. But I did take a 4 hr trip to Jasper, Indiana, Friday night and came back up today. BRRRRRRRRR! Happy to report that I do still have all my fingers and toes (I'll try to ignore any rude comments about the fine establishment that provided my wonderful education.) |

4hrs? One way? (Either way!) Don't let the cold hold ya back! So what was there in Jasper, IN that was more important than meeting up with the club? Does she have a name? On another note: To those of you that made it to the meeting Saturday, it was good seeing you all. Did anyone else end up sick on Sunday? (Trying to decide if it might have been something I ate, or just the flu.) I had a nasty case of the 12hr. flu yesterday. I kind of figured that it might have been something I ate, since my stomach started telling me something wasn't right Saturday night... or maybe just the flu. Doing much better today. |

this board is supposed to be about motorcycles, not hoosier football humiliation. it would be hard enough to watch the boilers kill us here....coming to ross-ade would be too much....thanks for the invitation, tho. looking forward to meeting you whenever we finally do get together |

Greeting All, First off I must apologize for my absence at the November Thunder Club meeting. At the last moment I was off to Las Vegas to assist the Harley-Davidson/Buell of Bloomington Race Team (unofficially known as Team Do-Rock) at the All Harley Drag Racing Association (www.AHDRA.com) season ending event. I would like to invite everyone to join me in congratulating Jeff and Crew Chief Rich (Hankins) on a fantastic first season and hard earned Eight In The Nation finish in both the Super Gas and VROD Destroyer classes. Starting in Gainesville the first week of Bike Week and on through the season ending event at Las Vegas the year proved both a trying and exhilarating first result at something never attempted by this dealership. Producing solid qualifying rounds throughout most all events the novice team moved farther and farther into the field at each track and race. With a runner-up performance at the Texas event in Destroyer class it proved to be a forewarning of things to come. At Bristol the team got its first win of the season in the Super Gas class helping to give momentum for a strong finish. Starting an organized, professional, race team from scratch in an arena that is unfamiliar and producing a top ten showing by seasons end is quite an accomplishment, for any shop or organization. The lessons learned will surely help next year in being prepared and focused and should enable the team to work on performance improvements to keeping moving in the right direction, the top five in the nation. We are proud of the guys for the dedication and determination they have shown all year, going against, and out performing, established teams with years of experience, professional riders and major sponsorship. Like any form of endeavor, you get out what you put in and this year Team Do-Rock of Harley-Davidson/Buell of Bloomington put in an outstanding effort resulting in a worthy finish. We would also like to thank the families and friends of everyone who has supported and encouraged the team all season long From the staff, fans, friends and family we would like to congratulate Jeff and Rich on a fantastic finish. Great Job! They Do-Rock! |

happy holidays everyone! saturday december 9 at 12:00pm will be our first monthly non-brag hoosier thunder club meeting. i spoke with jeff this evening about our club. he wants to get us together to discuss the options for maintaining our group at this meeting. let's have a good turnout! at our last meeting, we discussed the possibility of going somewhere to do a little holiday celebration. if the weather is unseasonably mild, we could do a ride, too. anyway, plan on attending, we'll figure it out then.....eddie

Unfortunately, Heather & I will be unable to attend the meeting on the 9th. I believe that we may have surfing lessons that day... and I'm not talkin' 'bout road surfing either! We do however, support the idea of continuing on with the club meetings. Formal or not. We're going to be gone for the next few weekends but I'm looking forward to getting together with one or all in the new year! Wire up those heated grips boys! Looking forward to riding again come January! "Summer" is just a few weeks away! Aloha! |

You are all wonderful friends and I am sorry I have not been there to support the Club as I should have for the last few months. I want to thank Eddie for taking up the slack and keeping the ball rolling. You are awsome Ed! Big thanks too for Jeff and Ron, without you guys this would not be possible! Hows it going Rusty. Welcome. Normally its not that nice out this time of the year but seeing as this weekend will be beautiful and in the sixties who wants to ride?? I am starting early on Sat. (9 o'clock ish) and am just going to go and wander. So I guess if you are interested meet at HDBB at 9 am and we will go from there. Sorry for the early time, but there is only 8-9 hours of good light this time of the year. Be there or be square. |

Welcome XBdanger! (I guess if & when and you sell your bike, it won't include a clean CarFax report!) Wade: I'd love to ride back to Ks. this weekend, but I have to drop Heather off at the airport in KC on Sunday and she'll be packing enough to last her till Thursday. I don't think I want to send my hard bags through baggage handling! I'm ready to get out and ride again (besides just to work and such). Two more weekends... Happy Holidays to all! |
