Hey Jose! I appreciate the offer but I believe we are going up just Saturday. We will leave NC early in the AM and head for Virginia. Like last year we will catch the train into DC from the southern most station and will probably be there by early afternoon. I hope to see you there! |

Alright.. I was there.. and had my camera with me.. took a few shots.. Hope they came out ok.. Started out looking in on Ducati Land...
Of course, as with everything Italian, they brought things of beauty with them...
Of course, there is the rest of the more traditional Ducati items..
Mixed in some of the newer models.. Talk about items of lust....
That's it for the shots from Italy.. I'll head to North America in a minute... |

So we ride the four hours to the train station and when he gets there Brankin was so excited that he jumps in front of the parking section marker we parked in. 3C of course!
We get to the show about twenty minutes late for the photo. My luck and the train tickets is consistent at best. We do run into some of the local, Jose, Rasmonis and better halves. So after getting to the Buell display we go and look around. New Duc was cool in Carbon Fiber.
I liked the new Duc, but proving that I am weird I actually like the GT1000 best. So if you don't believe me I spent more time on this than an R1. As a matter of fact, I sent no time on an R1. The only sport bike I sat on was a Firebolt because the only other one I want to see up close was the Daytona 675. I stuck mostly to Cruisers, Sport Tourers and adventure bikes.
Mark is modeling with the show hit, the Night Rod Special. Though many said they were looking for the XR1200, but we were let down.
Well all of us but one. Mark found an old friend, well okay she was not so old, but one of these girls was in last year's picture. After the show Jose & Linda took us to China Town for dinner before the ride home.
So in America's capital we do the American thing and go to China Town to an Irish Pub where they have multitudes of different beers.
Yep, it did not take long for the crew to start seeing through those beer glasses.
All good fun with the crew!
So after dinner it was back to the train and the 45 minute ride to the Minivan SPORT!!!. After trading cutoffs with this funny guy in a BMW SUV we had a quiet ride home. |
