Working this weekend. Thankfully, I was able to ride quite a bit during this week's afternoons. Mostly offroad. |

Carlos, Which direction are you heading this weekend? I've been talking to etennuly and we're trying to get something together. Rubberdown, After that freaking storm I got some roof work to do myself -- I told the wife I needed some money to hire somebody and she said "just don't go ride one weekend and do it yourself." ADVICE: Don't marry a chick that's smarter than you. |

Rubberdown, How do you think I became such a learned husband (25 year educational process with my chick.) Jim, You just gotta take it to the dirty dontcha? (Although, I agree!) Carlos, Your wife's packing your bags (how sweet is that?) so I'll see you tomorrow. I'm thinking Gap. Call me, Kristi has number, and I'll get you in. G2 |

Once they get confirmation I'll book the cabin. Who's in??? I suspect I am not. That is my kids spring break, and I have them this year. |

Kristi - Would you call Webe? He talked to Rebecca last night at about 9, but we didn't hear from him after that. I don't have his number, but if he needs to get into the house while we are at work, I can give him the garrage door code. |

N Work sucks!! Double work, double sucks. I got my baby narrowed down to issues, got new diodes, but no time to tinker! Thank goodness I am off the rest of the day! I only dicover I need new blades when it rains, well after that storm I discovered a new wiper arm wouldn't hurt either. |

We need to get Jim a sidecar...that way he can bring both kids along! I've got one if ya want to try it out. Side hack's can be fun and scary as hell sometimes. Would recommend you find a very large parking lot before hitting the twisties. |

BD - What about the weather? It looks like I will be able to wear all my gear and not be hot! I love this time a year. Weather here is expected to be above freezing so I should be good to go. I will leave early in the morning and probably slab it to I-85 where I guess I will take US-601 exit in Salisbury to NC-150 and head west toward Mooresville across the lake to Lincolnton. So am I close? Or I-85 / I-40 to I-77S to NC-150? Or I-85 / I-40 to US-321? Which is best? Time wise I am 2.5 hrs from Greensboro, 3 hrs from Winston-Salem, 3.5 from Statesville, so somewhere in the 4.5 to 5.0 hrs including a gas stop on the way. If I get out on time I should be in the area by 10:30 to 11am. |

31 here, but according to weather.com it only feels like 31 so what could possibily go wrong? (My outside temp sensor says it's 29, but it does like to exaggerate.) I do see some ice on the cars. Or I-85 / I-40 to I-77S to NC-150? That will take you right through the middle of Pumpkin Center. We can start west from there/here. I still think you're fuggen nutz, but I'm in anyway (of course I'm sitting on my couch until after the sun comes up.) Call me at your last gas stop -- meaning, 'Kristi, txt him my number' 'cause I'd imagine he already rolled. G2 |

Hi there. I do not know if this is the right place to say Hi, but its to late now. Please excuse me if I'm in the wrong place. I've been snooping around on the Bad Web for a while. I didn't really know what C3 was, but John in Goldsboro set me straight. If HD had more people like John working for them Buells would be everywhere. He really gets what the bike is all about. His eyes would just light up when he talked about them. Anyway I know what and where you are and I'll be around. (Message edited by nevets on November 19, 2006) |

I rode down to Souther Pines today. Stoped by mikes store and asked if he was in. The answer was "no, he is in Raleigh." |

Nevets - welcome! If you're who I think you are, you already know Webe (Mark Weaver) and M2nc (Carlos). If not, then you have several Buellers right in your back yard! Feel free to check out the Adventure Folder up top. You will find past and present adventures that the C3 group participate in. John (Buell_boy) is a great guy and we're lucky to have him at Shelton's. The Service Manager there is great with the Buells and they have several techs trained to work on the Buells. You're in good hands there if you need service that you can't or don't want to do yourself. Welcome to C3 and enjoy your Buell! Kristi

I just walked in the front door. Carlos and I parted company at Ruby Tuesdays in Wilkesboro after knocking down some groceries. (long story Kristi, and it sucks, and I feel bad, but Schloss Gabbard is overflowing -- I'll update you later.) We saw some sights, so some ice, so saw some snow, Grand Father Mountain was off-the-chart freaking beautiful -- even us old guys with multiple layers of 'please keep me warm gear' on made our way up to the very top and climbed the rocks, crossed the swinging bridge and just sucked in the view (pics too, but you won't see them tonight.) I've sent Carlos a txt message about the snow storm warming for nearly everything in the I40 corridor and north. He wasn't real clear about where he was going and my alternative option wasn't acceptable to him. 321, 221, BRP, 421 (old and new,) climbed the Uly up to the top. Absolutely wonderful day of riding with a good guy and I appreciated too. It didn't drop below freezing until I was in Taylorsville on the way home. Kristi call me if you've heard from Carlos. He has some kind of freaky body temp thing and I don't think he realizes how cold it really is -- where I have built in temperature sensors, two of them in fact (No, not those!) When my nipples explode it's time to get off the top and head for lower ground. All for now,,,,great pics to follow. G2s advice for the day: 1. Hot sticky tires turn in to cold bricks in about 15 minutes of BSing on a mountain top. G2 PS Kristi,,,,call me for what I know and I'd guess you know more now from his last fuel stop. |

Oh yea we've started the discussion process of a possible meet in the middle, C3, 3%, Vern & Skin_Legit, Spectrum, Tom, and anybody else that cares to come right here in Pumpkin Center -- it'll be camping in the yard, but w/showers and food Long way from fruition, but easily and doable deal. Good night. G2 |

G2 - Carlos just walked in the door. I'm sure he'll post in a few. He told me what happened - no biggie. All he wanted was to get in a good ride today. I think he got it! Kristi (Message edited by Ulywife on November 18, 2006) |

If the predicted snow storm does appear he made a very wise move. I would apologize, and I do feel bad about it, but I don't even like them G2 |
