Webe loves the Uly and his mind is made up that the next bike that makes permanent shelter here will be a Uly with an 07 seat if not a 07 Uly. As for now Christmas is just around the corner and the Dyna has a little sentimental value but,we will see what comes up in the future.I think if I had a Uly now it wouldn't be long before the Dyna would be a memory,(Yea,I owned one of those once.)And then Life began on the rear wheel of a Uly Wheelie. The new true name for the Uly should be The" Buell Wheelie". one day when I learn to edit Oh yeah, I don't have a pic but there is a nice silver sportster with a red stripe, like the beer, on it local just listening to the Kit in the mill caused an ear to ear grin. Some thing about starting one of these mills that is compression release equipped makes that worse, Todds bike is some variation of a 1250 NRHS stage 2 setup, humm they have a dyno shoot out at these events too, next year will be interesting. |

Rubberdown, I will talk to my neighbor about it tonight. He is going out there that weekend. He has family out there and he and his brother are doing the track days. (FYI these aren't dumb kids. These are men in their 40's) So, I will talk to him and try to peg down the details tonight. I should be able to post back tonight, but I have some engagements also so, if not tonight, I will try to get back to you on it tomorrow. Later. Mark |

I'm having a rough time posting links with my MAC. So, if someone knows how I can tackle this rather irritating facet of my computer I would appreciate it. I PM'd you Rubberdown with the details of Kershaw. If you want, go ahead and copy it to here if you can get the link thing to work. I'm out. Mark |

Help! Here's a question from U4euh: What do the "diodes" (2) on the fuse box do? XB9S 2003. When he turns the key on, electrics come on but no fuel pump. It ran briefly awhile ago after he messed with the "diodes". |

Diode 1 is connected to the ignition Relay. Diode 2 is connected to the neutral switch, and the clutch switch. They are also connected to each other. I have an 03 shop manual if he needs it. |

OK, so I got a little warped sense of humor...When checking the weather forecast today for a lunchtime cookout at work I was slightly amused that 69 feels like 69...
That reminds me of a joke that I can't put on here... Oldog, Can you E-mail me the full size, full res picture of the skeleton bike? That thing kicks major bones! Just another *boring* Buell owner, 1313 (Message edited by 1313 on November 08, 2006) |

"Feels like 69" Ain't nothing wrong with that! So P H U C K the yellow ass duck. I popped out of a trail onto a back town street filled with glee today. Ran through 1 st through 4th, just enjoying it all and ...... whoop! Check the mirror; P H U C K! blue lights everywhere. Must have been a hundred of them on that damn car. SOrry PH U C K was having none of my story. 54 in a 35 sucks, guess I'll have to call in some markers and get this sumbitch fixed! DOH! Oh well, I have had about 6 warnings in the last couple of years and a couple were for triple digits so I guess I had it coming. Funny thing is, this cop set me free with a warning about a year ago but I was on another bike so he did not seem to remember me. |

Rubberdown - I hate when that happens. Did you tell him your dirt bike doesn't do 54mph or that you were just trying to kick the dirt of the tires for safety? 1313 - It always has to me. I do not know why that is news though? I've got my wings! The Uly is going in for its 15,000 mile service, yearly inspection and Wash. I still have to figure what is going on with the M2. I did find a source of one of the oil leaks though. The hose to the bottom of the oil filter housing. It got nicked more than a year ago when I had the front muffler bracket changed to the updated style. I will have add it to my Dave I need it now list. All I can say is I have a big ride coming! |

Rubberdown, The frequent changing of the bikes does help I've also found that my Sheriff's ID (reserve) on top of my DL does wonders -- but that's not a 100% effective G2 |

Thanks Spectrum, got the manual on disc. Just wondering where else I can get new Diodes, if even needed? Do they go bad? Rubberdown gave me some suggestions, which I will try this evening. The other day when I got it to start, the only thing I did was switch the two diodes, and turn the handlebars to the other side. After it fired, it went right back to no ful pump 'wind up' upon turning the key. The light in the dash does not even come on. If I remove and replace the 7.5 ECM fuse it will come on, but no fuel pump. Jinance-Sorry I couldn't call you sooner, was busy with my two year transplant check up. Doc said everything looked good, but they are still waiting on the results of blood work. Rubberdown-You weren't jumping over curbes or riding on sidewalks were you? |

"Get off the sidewalk!" - That reminds me of a story. Two friends of mine were riding their motorcycles when they decided to race on the freeway. One of Ohio's finest happen to be right there and pulled out to pull them over. One decided to stop the other didn't. What ensued was a two-hour police chase. My good friend out ran police, sheriffs, and state troopers in three states, seven counties and untold municipalities. Dave our de facto director and I were at his work where an off-duty police officer was working security at the time. We enjoyed hearing the chase on the radio not knowing at the time that it was our friend. But I digress. He blew past a road block on the sidewalk at a high rate of speed. One of many great moves that was for not. Unfortunately after finally getting close to home, he thinks he has shaken off all the law when he pulls into his neighborhood not knowing that a police cruiser not involved in the chase happened to be on his street patrolling. As my buddy closed the garage door, he hears "FREEZE!" Can you say 61 points on your license in one night! You know he only spent three days in jail, lost his license for a year and paid $1500 dollars in fines + attorney fees. Sold the V45 Magna and bought a Gold Wing to settle down. |

So we know BRAG is not renewing memberships or accepting new ones. I have it on good authority that they want active clubs like C3 to provide the club scene. The Buell effort will be to list club events in the FUELL Magazine and support bike events. Any Buell owner can go fill out a profile on line and get the FUELL mag free. The website will keep everyone up on events too. This will change to be more responsive to us. Buell will still support the events and will support extras but for all Buell owners. Save your $45 annual dues for gas (or something) and enjoy BUELL on line, in the mag, and though C3. |

Well, if ya'll ever do a C3 pin, I want one. I'm leaving on the 20th. We have a contract on that house and are hoping to close on it on Dec 1st. Gotta go pray over it some more. By the way, if ya'll have seen my post on the Army commercial, it's in the Quick Board. My new response for those who are complaining; "Go join the Army and get over yourself". If you haven't seen the new "Army Strong" commercial, check it out, you'll understand after you see it. |

Buell Boy - Welcome! I'll probably be out to see you tomorrow to pick up the Uly. As for the M2, Webe and I were trying to diagnose its ailment. Its getting gas, but spark is weak, a little purple in color. I took the gas tank off and found one of the spark plug wires was rubbing through the insulation on the upper engine mount. The front wire looked fine and the spark plugs looked fine. The coil and ignition module looked fine but hard to tell. We did not have time to look at the cam position sensor. Webe and I are thinking the problem is between the sensor and the coil, plus new spark plug wires are due. |

M2, look real hard at the coil. The coils are suspect to damage if the plug wires ground............... Hey everybody, Nanook of the North here. Glad to see that everyone is doing well, and that C-3 goes on without missing a beat even when the factory backing has gone away. C-3 was never really big on the whole meetings and paperwork thing and all, cuts into riding time too much. Things here are well, the bikes are put up for the winter, so we've been doing some four-wheeled hoonery. We've been hanging out with the local SCCA chapter and have been whailing the pooh out of the Mighty Neon. We've won class and third overall in a road rally, and have competed in two solo (autocross) events placing fifth and third in class. Everyone put the full-court press on Webe, he's teetering on the brink of trading in the HOG on a Uly, he just needs some more encouragement, and Buell_Boy would be happy too. BTW Buell_Boy, so are doing a Uly or an Ss? |
