WOW!!! WHAT A WEEKEND! FIRST OF ALL, CONGRATS TO THE THE BUELL RIDERS WHO WON SOME CHAPIONSHIPS YESTERDAY. PAUL JAMES AND JULIAN SOELL THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS THE FINAL WEEKEND OF THE MIDWEST SEIRIES THAT J & S RACING HAS BEEN RUNNING. WE NOW HAVE ONE WEEK TO PREPARE FOR THE NATIONAL EVENT AT DAYTONA MOTOR SPEEDWAY!! THE WEATHER WAS MOST SPECTACULAR FOR OUR BIG WEEKEND. GOING INTO THE WEEKEND I WAS IN 1ST IN LW FORMULA 40 AND NEEDED TO FINISH THE RACE TO CLINCH THAT TITLE. I WAS 1ST IN SUPERTWINS NEEDING A 5TH PLACE TO GAURANTY THE TITLE. 3RD IN GT LIGHTS AND NEED A DECENT FINISH TO HOLD. 3RD IN LW SUPERSPORT, ALSO NEEDING A DECENT FINISH. ARE YOU READY?? OK HERE WE GO!!! RACE 1 - GT LIGHTS (25 MIN RACE) HAD A GOOD START AND WENT INTO TURN 1 INTO 3RD POSITION. VERY UNEVENTFUL RACE, PASSING A COUPLE EXPERTS AS THE RACE WORE ON AND FINISHED A VERY GOOD 5TH SPOT!! CLINCHING 3RD IN THE CHAPIONSHIP. RACE 2 - LW FORMULA 40 OUR SPECIAL GUESTS (LANE AND JANE) APPEARED ABOUT 1/2 HOUR BEFOR THE RACE. i WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS THIS RACE, NEEDING TO FINISH A COMPLETE LAP OR LOSE THE CHAPIONSHIP. I WAS STARTING FROM THE POLE AND WENT FOR IT. LEAD THE FIELD INTO THE EXPERT FIELD JUST AHEAD OF US GOING INOT TURN ONE. LEAD LAP 1 CHAMPIONSHIP IS NOW MINE, A SIGH OF RELIEF NOW BACK TO BIS! MADE A BAD TURN AND WENT WIDE, MAT PASSED ON THE INSIDE. THEN DON DECIDES TO MAKE A GUTTSY MOVE AND PUT ME INTO THIRD. NEXT LAP I REPAY THE MOVE AND JUMP BACK INTO SECOND. ANOTHER BAD CORNER AND DON AND ANOTHER RIDER GO BY.  NOW I'M SITTING 4TH, 2 LAPS TO GO! DON AND THIS OTHER GUY BOTH GO WIDE, I CUT INSIDE AND MAKE MY MOVE, TUCK MY HEAD HARD AND CLOSE IN ON THE LEAD, THEN MAT GOES A LITTLE WIDE AND LEAVES ME A GAP, i SHOOT THROUGH TAKING THE LEAD!!! nOW I'M CROSSING THE LINE IN 1ST GETTING THE WHITE FLAG, I DECIDE TO RUN SOME BLOCKING LINES AND GET SOME GOOD RUNS OUT OF THE CORNNERS. WELL IT PAID OFF!! VICTORY WAS MINE!!! WITH THE OTHER 3 BIKES ALL RIGHT BEHIND! RACE 3 - SUPERTWINS GOOD START, WENT THROUGH TURN 1 IN SECOND PLACE. TODD (RIDES A RC51)NEEDED TO WIN THIS RACE TO TACK AWAY THE CHAMPIIONSHIP FORM ME OR FOR ME TO FINISH NEAR THE BACK. I HELD 4TH FOR MOST OF THE RACE THEN FELL TO SEVENTH ON THE LAST LAP. TODD FINISHED 2ND WHICH LEFT ME 1 POINT AHEAD TO CLINCH THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! (I JUST SQUEAKED BY THERE) RACE 4 - LW SUPERSPORT GREAT START, THE TOP 3 IN THE SERIES WERE ALL SITTING ON THE FRONT ROW GOING INTO TURN ONE ALMOST 3 WIDE. KEVIN AND JULIAN GO WIDE TRYING TO GET AROUND AN EXPERT WE'VE CAUGHT AND I HOLD THE TURN TIGHT AND GET AROUND THEM ALL ONCE KEVIN GOT AROUND ME I LET JULIAN GO BY TO DEFEND HIS POSITION. I LOST MY RYTHM DOING THIS AND FELL TO FINISH 5TH. DURRING THIS RACE KEVIN LOWSIDED IN TURN 3 WHICH DROPPED HIM TO LAST AND MOVED ME INTO SECOND FOR THE CHAMPION SHIP!!! WOW! I DON'T THINK I CAN SAY THAT ENOUGH RIGH NOW! IT'S BEEN ALONG SEASON AND ALOT MORE CHALLENGING THAN ONE MIGHT EXPECT. WE'VE MADE ALOT OF GREAT FRIENDS THIS PAST YEAR ON THE TRACK. LEARNED ALOT ABOUT ALOT! ALOS LEARNED IF YOU CAN DODGE THE 3 B'S, YOU'LL HAVE A GREAT CHANCE OF WINNING A CHAPIONSHIP. (3 B'S = BROKE BIKE, BROKE BODY & BROKE FINANCE) AND ALSO, WITHOUT A GREAT PIT CREW (KELLI, JADE AND SARA) THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. NOW, IT'S OFF TO DAYTONA FOR A LITTLE HIGH BANK ACTION MY GOAL FOR DAYTONA WILL BE TO FINISH MY RACES IN RESPECATBLE FASHION. A PODIUM WOULD BE NICE!!!
