Intake system issue huh? I would have thought electrical. I did have the rain sock on but you are right it can soak through. Once I get pass these mid-terms I will take the Force Winder off and check it out. Thanks. |

Carlos, I can almost say 100% for sure that your intake seals are not bad. Bad intake seals would cause rough running with a little popping, and the rough running and popping would clear up when a liquid (usually WD-40) is sprayed on the intake seals. Your problem is considerably different. My suggestion of water in the air filter sounds most logical based on the potentially extreme amount of water sprayed at 'the girlfriend'. Another easy check is to see if the fuel tank vent hose is obstructed? Try starting the bike with the fuel cap off. If it runs fine then the vent line is blocked or obstructed. I remember riding into Milwaukee about the time the S1 was coming out and one of the motojournalists testing the S1 was stranded on the side of the road with the exact same problem. This experience prompted increasing the inner diameter of the vent line to make it less likely for rain water and other road debris to obstuct the vent (and more care in routing and zip-tieing of the vent hose to the wire harness). It's possible that in drying that the vent lines position may have been adjusted into a position that has restricted or obstucted its proper venting, or just the rinse water was enough to clog the end of the vent line. BTW, if it comes to it, my onsite service fee hasn't changed... 1313 |

Brankin, Thanks again. I will check it probably Monday and let you know what I find out. There was water pooled up around the tank cap so that could be the problem too. At least I have a couple of areas to check when I get past these test, one down one to go. You know Kristi was just mentioning your fees yesterday. I just happen to have a refrigerator full of Ice House. She was ready to call you and pay your on-site fee of Beer+Dinner last night, but again, I am hemmed up with these tests so I had to postpone it. We will see what next weekend brings. I know I want to check out the Jacksonville ride so maybe next Sunday we do that and then come back here for dinner. |

I survived! I'm currently hiding upstairs. I made them walk the mile to the fair. You would have thought I asked them to crawl over broken glass. I'm used to it though. I make my kids walk every year, and every year they complain. I love it. It's my favorite part of the adventure. The walking, not the complaining. We got back and they were all hungry. Apparently the slice of pizza we all had at the fair didn't count as dinner. Speghetti! Easy, cheap, and scales well. It must have worked. They all seem happy now. |

why you plannin on breaking the one you have on there? Well, it did vibrate it self a bit loose last weekend, so I am worried about what will happen when I tighten it. Thats how I broke the last one. But given that I currently have a muffler thats in 2 pieces it seems like a good idea to either throw it away or fix it. |

Carlos: I think that Brankin covered the big items, the vent hoses and filter sock are easy enough to check, I can tell you first hand that when a force winder filter gets too much water it will kill the machine. it usualy clears up quickly, water in the gas makes sense too. |

They are all still asleep. Lightweights! I'm not supprised the girls aren't up, but I thought my little guy would be awake by now. They were all great at the fair. TJ wanted to ride the Megadrop and no one else would do it with her. She did it by herself! She had a great expression on her face when she landed. The next ride was that Rainbow. TJ and Carlee wanted to do that one, and I even talked Jesse into going with them. He wasn't tall enough, so it ended up just being the 2 girls. The next ride was one where you sit in swings and they spin you. Jesse, TJ, and Carlee wanted to do that. The line was long so Sabrina and played a dart game while they waited in line. Right when they were about to get on the ride, Sabrina decided she wanted to do it to. The 4 of them go onto the swings. Sabrina took good care of Jesse up there. After that Jesse, TJ, & Carlee did some sort of hand glider ride. Then they did the ride where you get spun in a rotating cylinder, and pinned against the side. I would never get on that ride. I was really proud of Jesse, I think he actually enjoyed it. The final ride was this thing with little boats that would circle and fly in the air. All 4 of them rode that one. When they got off, Sabrina was covering her mouth, and I was worried we were about to see that Pizza again. Turns out my son head butted her in the mouth as they were flying around. No blood, all is good. I think they all had a great time. |

Haven't posted in a while, figured I'd chime in . . . Been traveling lots lately, too busy to ride the XB. At least they gave me a nice company car ('06 Mazdaspeed6). I managed to ride to work twice this week. Sarah and I rode to the fair on Saturday (too far to walk from Fuquay ) and as an added bonus the Raleigh PD guys were cool enough to let me park the Buell right up next to the building in a permit-only parking lot. When I came back out to the bike I noticed it was leaning over a bit farther than usual. Upon closer inspection I realized that the bolt/pin that goes through the kickstand had snapped. The kickstand was still in place and seems to still be capable of holding the bike up, but I don't want to take any chances. I've got the bike up on the pit-bull stands in the garage and I'll probably leave it there till the new parts arrive. |

JimN - Thanks so much for having Carlee over the weekend. She really enjoyed the fair and had a blast with Sabrina and TJ. She thinks you're a really nice guy and neat Dad! Hope RAM made it home safely. So, ya like Carlos' new hat? He now thinks he's going to have a collection! |

I'll certainly be glad to see her. He now thinks he's going to have a collection! For everyone who doesn't understand that statement. You should have been in Boone. |

We now have a Blast of another color. Now if I could only shrink the pics to show it off. WBG is still partial to the original color, but likes it better that it is all one piece now with no major defects that she did.The body work is not perfect and has a few scratches, but that means the other bike was rode too,but not as hard as ours.LOLBut the price was a great deal.
