Cool. Our own forum! Saturday sounds good to me. Hey Bill, the paint on my windscreen turned out 1000x better than I thought. The paint matches the metallic grey on the frame EXACTLY! Thanks again for the great advice. |

What's up guys? Donny Mac's would be cool, but the Boise State game is at 6:00pm. Any chance that everyone could go a bit earlier, like 4:00 instead? Bill, I got my Firebolt tail came in today so I'll probably be working on that this weekend as well. I'm just a little excited about it. |

Hello Boise Buellers, after meeting Saturday our #1 priority is to get the word out to all Buell riders about this web sight and the group. All out there that like this idea please post here & let us know your out there. I will contact the Dealer for Buell owners. Spread the word and use this sight to post rides or whatever. Note Eric is having an issue with his wiring shorting out. Any electric wrenches out there that might be able to help??? |

Hey Guys, I might be able to help Eric out, not exactly a wiz, but have some experience with that sort of thing. About the ride this upcoming weekend, I was thinking of going to Lowman, possibly leaving around 10am. What does everyone think? Should be super nice weather this weekend, not too much of this left. |

G Thing- I am present and half-way accounted for. I am game for a ride, just get me the details. As for Eric's wiring, I am not sure what Eric rides but my '05 XB12Scg needed a whole new harness from an 06. After the swap all the problems I had been having were cured. |

I'll try my best to make it Sunday...got a lot of things on my "to do" list though. Hey, I have read a lot about adding a few extra holes to the airbox and the consensus seems to be "do it". I even heard the '07 air boxes have holes. Soooo...Sunday evening I will install the Race ECM, K&N air cleaner, drill holes (1" or 2" where???). Then when I drop it off that morning at High Desert HD for my 1K I'll ask them to dial it in. Sound like a plan? Any comments? What about the air box? Thanks in advance for any advice. -Tim |

OK, I sent a private message to Larryboy who posted some very intriguing pics of his modified airbox. Here is a copy of our thread:
quote:Hi Larryboy, I am a fellow BADWEB member and saw the great pics of the airbox you modified. Is something taped up on the right side? What's a "klr"? From what I'm reading, these opened up airboxes are great. Should I just buy a new '07 airbox? -Tim --------------------------- hey, tim. i taped up up the factory intake opening on the right side of the box since the pics of the 07 box shows no opening on that side. i spent 1/2 an hour and saved the $$ i would have spent on another air box. i'm cheap like that. if you already have a drill and some hole saws just mod your box. if you need to buy tools to do it you might be better off buying the 07 box. rob

Hey Tim, I drilled two 1'' holes on the left directly across from the stock openings, I plan to drill one or two more at about the 10:00 position. This will simulate the 07 box if I close off the stock openings. As per the Big Bad & Dirty postings some w/pics there is a consensus that the stock RH openings may suffer from hotter air intake as the RH side is hotter w.exhaust etc. Besides the price is right and more intake cant hurt!?. Hey Mike Hows your tail? |

I've got a huge selection of hole saws if you need them Tim. I'll probably swiss cheese mine as well. If you don't like it you can always tape them back up. Bill, the tail is going well. I've got the reconstruction pretty much finished up. Sam and I will put on the pearl and clear on Wednesday night. All should be good to put the plastics on Saturday at the latest. |

That's a tough choice Jayman. Better ponder that one for a while. Tim, saw your bike at Cycle Gear today, hope you were having fun. Sam is confirmed to go on Sunday, and a couple other friends should make it as well. |

Anyone out there any good at making a flyer on there computer to hang down at the dealer(High dollar Harley Davidson)With info for other Buellers about the Bad Weather Biker/Storm Fronts/BAB??? Need one at the Caldwell dealer also. Would be cool to make a BAB logo that looks like the Buell oval logo. I'm guesing there might be more Buellers out there than the 4 of us posting so far.{:> |

BAB... How's you dealer out there? I'm assuming it's High Desert HD/Buell. They list MSRP on the web site, but I figured I'd fact check that before I worked too hard on them. I'm upgrading to the 07 XB12s. If I buy form DaveS it's bike is cheap, travel and shipping are expensive. If I buy locally Bike is expensive. If I can get MSRP or below in Boise I can ride home to Portland and get some of the break in done on the way... Thanks |

Thanks a lot Tim, that'll great. Borrowedbike, High Desert is great overall. Some of the salesmen are a little more HD oriented if you know what I mean. The owner really is standing behind the Buell line. And the Service dept. has been top notch. They also have a sister dealership in Caldwell, Birds of Prey HD/Buell, and the are just as good. Some of their salesmen ride Buells, so that helps. |
