Latest and Greatest from HD/B of Bloomington. The 'dealership' ride for the month of September is this Thursday, the 7th at 6pm. Jeff and crew will be taking the Destroyer to IRP for the Test & Tune starting at 6pm and the ride will be going to the track. Our 'dealership' ride on October 5th will be the last of the year and lead by Jeff, starting at 5pm, and we have a special event scheduled. By all means plan on joining in. Additionally, HD/B is sponsoring a "Night At The Speedway" at Indianapolis National Speedway located on the near west side of Indy, Saturday evening, September 16th. We have "FREE" tickets for those who would like to attend. Please get tickets only if you plan on attending as our supply is limited. Contact Karen, Jeff or myself if you need tickets. Remember we are hosting the 'Wide Open House' event at the dealership, September 30th, and will be serving lunch and having a bike show. We still are in need of volunteers, and bikes, for this event. All proceeds will go to the Thunder Club. The upcoming BRAG meeting I will not be able to attend as I will be in Kansas City for a Rider's Edge event. Have a good time and a great ride. Ride Safe |

We're home now too. We managed to sneak into the dealership "just under the wire" and I exchanged my riding pants, then we had supper at Mark Pi's. It was a great day for a ride and we enjoyed the company also. Things didn't quite go as planned, but it was good hanging out anyway. Better luck next time Ryan & Eddie! All's well that ends well... Umm, how did it end?? Hope you're not too banged up Eddie! Shawn & Heather |

Hey guys, Great day Huh? Man.... I did the same as you Glen. Anyways, I talked to Eddie a hour or so ago.... his injuries were worse than initially thought, but he is ok. He not only dislocated his shoulder but also fractured his collar bone four times. He is very bummed out and really grateful for all of the help everyone gave. That was awesome of you guys to think of trailering his bike back. I will leave any more of an update to the now mostly left handed Eddie. Heal up quick man! Wade Oh and it was good seeing everyone and getting to know some of you better. See you guys on the 30th. |

WHOA GUYS! What Happened! Sounds like this was a bad day all the way around! Guess what. I got home to a partially deflated rear tire. Found the remnants of a safety pin sticking out! Looks like whoever buys my XB is gonna get it w/ a new tire! What happened with Ed? Man hope he's gonna be alright! Well other than the days misfortunes, it was nice to meet new faces and renew friendships! Hope to see you all on the 30th. CM |

first of all, thanks to all for your help and concern. fyi, i rounded a blind right hander, unaware of the gravel patch awaiting me. the front end washed, lowsiding me, and sliding the bike into a cow fence on the opposite side of the road. the bike got uglied from the slide but i think it is ok. lots of cosmetic stuff, but i think it will be operational. the bad news is a broken collarbone requiring surgery. i am awaiting a call from the doc for scheduling tomorrow. it is "minor surgery" done outpatient. the bad news is the 4-6 week recovery period. being self-employed makes this a really bad deal, but i have no choice. more to come.............eddie |

Sorry I wasnt there folks. I have finals next week and I'm kinda stressed out. Woke up Sat morning with a screaming headache, so I stayed at home in bed. I think thats the first meeting that I have missed, and it sounds like I missed alot! Eddie I hope that you are doing ok! You havent had the best luck with gravel the last couple years. Maybe we should get you a Polaris ATV, or at least some training wheels! Seriously though, I hope your recovery time isnt as long as the Doc says. Everyone say a little prayer for Eddie, to help speed up the healing process. I'll see you all on the 30th! |

OK Folks, I just heard from Mike Norris and he said he can make custom timing covers with the Hoosier Thunder Club logo for us. Anyone interested? Copy of email: Artwork, digitizing: $ no charge Polished $32.90 Chrome $45.00 Plus shipping Minimum order of ten. ETA 3 to 5 weeks Thanks Mike > You have received a private message from the following discussion board > user: Indy_bueller > > ----------------------------------------------------------- > > Mike, > > I know your are a busy guy but I need to ask you a couple questions. If by polished you mean what looks like the factory powder coat what I have existing I'm in, I don't think i'll like the chrome, because the whole is not chrome..heads rockers ect.. |

Polished will be shiny, just not as shiny as chrome. The silver on the cam chest and primary cover can be purchased from H/D in a spray can. I've painted my cam chest and primary covers. Can't tell them from factory. CM |

Here's a couple of pics of BJ from the races last Saturday night. Son and I had a great time. BJ was in top form winning each race and even winning while crashing at the finish line! LOL! Thanks Jeff for a great evening!

Greetings All! Sorry to have been out of touch but been on the road. Sorry I missed the last Thunder meeting but look forward to the next one. Really sorry to hear of Eddies demise. Hope you are getting better and look forward to seeing you at the end of the month, or sooner if you can stop in. Remember the last weekend of the month Hoosier Thunder is serving lunch for the "Wide Open House" at the dealership. We are still up for a Thunder Bike Show if anyone wants to enter. I think a club Buell display would probably be a better thing to do, just to show off what we got. I'm bringing my track bike and drag bike and ride in on the CityX, so theres a start. The club patches are great and I want to thank Eddie for all the work he put into getting them finished. THANKS ED! Our T's should be completed soon and hopefully in time for the open house. Additionally, we will have a Thunder Club pop up set up to hand out information. As always we will need participation from as many that can attend. This will probably be the last good weather event we will have so let's make a strong showing. On a personal note, put me in for three of the polished covers! See everyone soon. |

If I don't go to the season ending round of the AMA Superbike round at Mid-Ohio, I should be there for the open house. Kinda depends on the weather. Anyone else interested in going? |

Hey Chad, I turned down an opportunity to attend the AMA Mid Ohio weekend, to include, all access VIP pass for Saturday and Sunday with a Monday track day with Team Suzuki and Motorcyclist Magazine staff, suspension set up sessions, on track instruction, swag bag, breakfast, lunch and a dinner with the team so I can attend the HDB Open House and Thunder Club bike display. Priorities, priorities! If you go, have a good time and ride safe. |
