Riding in the rain isn't bad... but I can't think of many things worse than sitting on the bike stopped in the rain. I agree on the lane changers and dickless wonders being dangerous though which is why I think if I split, I'll do it when the traffic is stopped and there's no way for people to change lanes or cut me off... But it is good to know that in the case of the appendage we've got a hookup LOL... Actually, maybe you'll get this guy as a customer someday: http://blogs.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/09292006094124MWEB2F.htm Bambi -- the bike & hike sounds like fun...I actually love hiking/backpacking... If only I had a side car to bring along my pup.... Another treat...I was in Spain a couple of weeks ago and saw this from a distance: http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/Images/2006_BT1100_Photo_02_tcm26-90578.jpg http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/products/motorcycles/street/bt1100.jsp?view=g allery I thought wow that is one tricked out Buell then I noticed the dual exhausts... I don't think they sell that model stateside... But then again maybe they'd get in trouble for ripping off some Buell styling...LOL |

Hey, we made it up to TWO around noon...Late start, but we saw Buellish and some of the West Side Boyz. Saw Dirty Sanchez on his Ulysses heading South on 400. Where were the rest of you chuckleheads? |

Dang, I wish I'd known people were heading up to TWO. I spent the night at a friend's lake house up north of the outlet malls, so I was nearly there anyway. I almost decided to head north instead of south when I got up in the morning, but I was kind of hung over and I'd forgotten to pack my camera, so I just rode home. Speaking of Ulysses sitings, I went up to Brainerd with my car club for some drag racing again Friday night. I got some footage of a guy on a Ulysses, but I won't post his name here because I know the Warranty Police are on patrol. Here's the video: http://www.incorrect.org/videos/SVTOA%20Brainerd%20Compilation%20256.wmv |

This is what I did Saturday. http://photoshow.comcast.net/watch/Uw8gR6Rg This place is just a couple miles before Cloudland Canyon so for the "Bike & Hike" weekend, we decided to stay there in a 1 room cabin for $45 instead of camp. These guys have a social club and have a bonfire every weekend and like to have a good time from what we have heard. So if anyone might be interested in checking this out over night with us on the weekend of Oct 28th, you need to call NOW! 800-803-7788 because they are having a big "Fly In" weekend and a Halloween Party so the place will book up fast. Hey, Cmgaviao, we got a Bike Camping Kit with a tent, 2 stools, 2 sleeping bads that fit in a roll that will fit on the back or a bike for about $200 from SPORTZ. It's kinda cool. I'll post the route and stuff later for any of you adventurous spirits out there that might want to join us on some portion of the trip but it may end up being a "Bike, Hike and Flight" weekend! |

No real comparison to me, I really didn't have much Blast seat time to make any conclusions. I love this bike! I just have to practice - never really ridden anything before so I am new to all of this. Poor Smokescreen is trying not to go crazy teaching me, but he's a great coach. I did drop it today (grabbed too much front brake) and he picked it up off of me like it weighed 2 pounds! I will try not to do that too often! |

Yeah, I like my funny looking Buell. I am looking at MSF courses, just trying to find a seat. Don't know if it will be at SMHD or not, I have found some on the DDS website that are only 250, and if I remember correctly, Harley is 3 something. As far as the size, I don't think we could have found one better. I can flat foot it and it doesn't feel heavy. Just have to keep practicing and get comfortable. Thanks everybody!! |
