Hey guys and gals...I'm new to the Buell community and am interested in crusing around the hills and backroads of CT. Looks like there's a few CT people on the list. I'm always in the Hartford - Waterbury areas.. Anyone interested? |

I believe the guys at Danbury Buell have regular Buell rides during the week. They've invited me to join them on several occasions, but it's hard for me to travel up there from Long Island when I have to rush home from Brooklyn to ride 80 miles to Danbury, and then when I get home having to wake up at 6:00 AM the next morning for work again... |

sorry Buellinblack , didn't see your post until after the event. Basically it is a tour where you get playing cards at check points along the way. it was about 60 miles today...very scenic. I think I was the only Buell on the "run". But there were a couple more at the dealer when we got back, including a firebolt with an interesting flame paint job(pnklady...I think?)...very nice. Oh well, probably about 50 bikes competed and I ended up with 2 pair kings high, probably not good enough to place! A good cause though! |

Yesterday, I replaced the belt...did it myself. pretty proud of that as i am not the most confident of wrenches. Took the chance and rode it home(Greenwich to West Haven). Decided to take the Merrit Pkwy. on the way there I found a lost Buell- from NY City...trying to find Bear Mountain! So I took him the back way to rt 35 in Cross River... It has been 2 weeks since the belt broke and i forgot how much i love this bike! Anyway...Lake ave. gets a little tight and twisty and i was loving it too much, look in my mirrors and see him in the other "lane"(very narrow roads in ct!). Must tone it down a little!...lake ave to round hill to bedford-banksville to rt 22(ny) to 121 to 35 where we split up... He had a 12r black with only 600 miles... I told him about this website and hope he is reading this and had as good a time as I did! And that he found Bear Mountain ok? The belt held up going the long way home! I am probably not going to be comfortable with it for a couple of hundred more miles though...seeing as how it seems some replacement belts break pretty quickly. The only thing that finally wiped the grin off of my face was "where have you been?" from the wife when i got home. It is very difficult to explain to someone who just doesn't get it?!? |

I've gotta work this Sunday nite - so that probably won't work out for me this week. I'm coming into working my weekends now, so my weekdays are more open for the rest of the month. Probably means I'll be ridin' solo for the balance of the summer. I'm gonna keep my eye on the Bear Mt. rides and see if I can sneak away for a day. Probably won't be able to make one until the fall, tho. (Message edited by bombero on August 17, 2006) |

schnudfa...Good to meet you there too...Told you this website was great, right!!? Like I said...I've been riding for the last 2 months straight, and have yet to see any Buellers on the road...that's why I had to say hello. Let me know if your ever headed up through the Hartford-Waterbury corridor...that's where I'll be with my friends, I'll be the only Bueller as usual!! |

I work a rotating shift schedule so I end up having more free time during the week than on weekends, so if anyone wants to ride during the week, let me know. But like I said before - I'm off on September 23rd... |

Hi Guys...... a few of us from Mass are going to meet up with some of the Bear Mt group next weekend (26&27) So far from Mass it's me, firebolteric_ma and Ducxl. Come on down, the more the merrier!!! We're stating in some inn at the bottom of Bear Mt. There's a tread about this in the Quick board. We are leaving Friday afternoon and coming home on Sunday. Hope some of you can make it. It sort of a test run for the Headless Horsemen II run. |

Are there any plans during the day on Saturday. Riding around in the area etc. Do you have a meeting time and place or destination for a Saturday ride ? Thanks Mike |
