HBJ: Watch this space, or the "Houston Buellers" thread. When (if) we get a quorum, I'll ask the interested parties to ping me off-line for directions. Depending on what part of Austin you're coming from, it oughta be around 90 miles. rt |

One of my fellow riders on the Twisted Texas ride posted this on another forum...thought I'd pass it along. "Damn, everyone! To all you who missed the BRAG event in Kerrville, I send my sympathies! That was one of the greatest rides I've EVER been on! Rode with some of the greatest riders I've ever come to know! Y'all SO missed out! We rode three of the top rated roads in Texas. 335, 336, and 337 are some of the twistin'est roads I've ever seen. From bottom to top, we changed elevation over 1000 ft in a matter of seconds while diving headlong into 20mph turns and negotiating fallen rocks in our paths! It was INSANE! Thursday was a rain day, but that didn't stop us. These crazy guys just mucked on through it. Had our bikes hummin' up over 80mph in the downpours! You can only get soooo wet! But before the day was over, we'd done been blown-dry by pure wind driven speed. They even sent us tearin' through 7 miles of unpaved terror. My bike ain't never been that dirty, and I don't think I'll ever find all the places that mud ended up! I can't wait till the next BRAG event! Hope to see y'all there. 35 riders attended this one, but damn, there was room for a whole lot more of us! Robert K" My sentiments exactly, Robert. Pictures coming soon! Be grateful, RR, horses have given their hides so we can stay warm! I'm headed out there this morning--it promises to be a glorious day! Fact is, we're out there most weekends and visitors are welcome, you've got my cell # and you know how to get there... rt |

well, after years of standing my ground and doing whatever i want on my birthday, my mother wants to take us out to eat on the 30th. what's a son going to say? since she is at the age that dinner is at 1 or 2 o'clock it kind of kills the day. oh well, i'll still be chewing on a piece of dead cow left over from making our jackets so it will be fine. maybe i can hotshot the pies to ya'll. arrrghhh, philip |

I'd like to see "El Rancho", but I wore my back tire down to the cords during Twisted/Thrills. If I can get new rubber in time, I'll try to contact y'all. It will proabbly not be a BRAG event this year. BRAG likes to give a state an event about every 2-3 years so ours is done for a few I'm afraid. |

Dan is right, but i believe the Thrills in the Hills is annual, mostly Ducatis and Buells, but Buellerthanyou probably knows more about it than me. |
