Since it's sitting until I get around to doing the 1000 mile maint. This is what I came home that day to discover. *One Dog'Gone new bike! (The dog was inside by then.)
See you at the next ride! PS - If volunteers are still needed to help out at the HOG event, I think we will be available... Let me know if interested. |

Saturday, August 12, 2006 B.R.A.G. Meeting Minutes The following items were discussed in the meeting. Anything needing follow-up is indicated by the responsible persons name. We had a great turn out, highlighted by the addition of 4 new members !!!!…. Wade Huesman > Bloomington Heather Hickey > Paris, Ill Shawn Hickey > Paris, Ill Glenn Woolsey > Sheridan, IN They received their Buell hats, and road off with the group. It was fun to witness. Karen= T-Shirts should be ordered by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. I need contact information from Carol or Jeff. Eddie= Everyone will get a chance to advance order patches, so that we can qualify for “best pricing”. Eddie will contact everyone through email. He also brought in patch examples for everyone to see. Ron= Members agreed to serve lunch at the dealership on Saturday, Sept. 30 for our WIDE OPEN HOUSE to raise money. HDB will supply all the food. They would also like to do a Bike Show on this day. * Eddie suggested that B.R.A.G. volunteer to do physical maintenance on the Bradford Woods property in lieu of money donation. He would like for you to contact them and see how the club might help them. *Members would like to take group photo with you , Jeff, and the destroyer at the September 9 meeting. They have also requested that this meeting begin at 10am, in order to have more ti me to ride. Other items discussed: · Dealership should carry more commonly used replacement parts for Buell (foot pegs, left & right controls, mirrors, clutch cables, etc.) Rich said that he would like them to list the items that they want us to carry. · The club would like to prepare a video from the ferring of a motorcycle to be presented with the Indiana proposal for the Wicked Twisty Tour 2007. They thought that people do not understand how perfect our terrain is for the enthusiast. They suggested that maps of the area be included with the visual presentation. · They really want to be a club that is worthy of a visit from Eric Buell. · They would like to begin planning now for Homecoming 2007 Karen Boehnlein Marketing/Events Coordinator Harley-Davidson/Buell of Bloomington 812-333-8300 Fx 812-333-8345 karenb@indianaharley.com Karen Boehnlein Marketing/Events Coordinator Harley-Davidson/Buell of Bloomington 812-333-8300 Fx 812-333-8345 karenb@indianaharley.com |

It's all right Glenn, being new again isn't that bad is it? ...bribing your way in won't work either... It's free! See what happens when you're gone too long?

Hey all! Thanks to everyone who attended the Demo Day. We had 15 motorcycles in the fleet and completed 11 trips at 16 miles each. You can do the math. It was a successful day with a great interest in Buells! Thanks to Erin for her help at the registration table and with sweep riding, great job. Ed, we are going to go ahead and order the minimum patch order of 36 (?) and all the members can purchase what they want at the meetings. If we don't sell them all then you and I will have our jackets full! Glen, start showing up and we will consider you a regular! Thanks again, look forward to seeing everyone soon. |

SO WHO IS IN??? Who: Anyone with two wheels and who wants to go. What: A SCHWEEET two day motorcycle ride through the Indiana side of the Ohio River Valley Where: All over the great state of Indiana. When: It takes two days, starting this Sunday in Bloomington and ending the following Monday in the same place it started. Total of ~475 amazing miles. How: By sheer wits. But here are some more details.... -Stay Sunday night somewhere near I65 and 37 which is about 250 miles into the trip. Camping is easy there as that whole area is the Hoosier National Forest. However I would rather share a hotel and have a shower so I am on the hunt for the closest reasonable hotel and will post in a bit what I find. Camping is not out however if others want to. It is fun to camp. -Roads are alot of Indiana state map 'scenic' roads that run along the Ohio river. Other roads are ones I have been on and know to be a good time. And of course some suck and are straight but nothing is perfect. -This weekends weather looks good. -I dont know what else... questions? Who's IN? Wade PS This map is proving to be a major pain to upload. PM me and I will send you a copy of the Map if you want. Sorry. |

Here's the map. We're thinking about it... Start time on Sunday? Stopping after 250 miles? ...475 miles sounds like a day ride to me.. How 'bout stopping 475 miles into the trip? Of course you see less scenery that way... Just tossing about ideas! Didn't mean to hijack your idea!! Oh yeah, here's the map!

Shawn, Sorry I forgot to mention WE were the ones thinking about this. I got caught up in the dang uploading, resizing and resizing, and just wanted it posted. So... I assume you are in Shawn? Dude you can pack on miles. I have done two 360 mile days just strictly traveling, not taking the fun way or anything, and that got grueling at the end. Those were on roads I knew well. So I give the 475 mile day idea a thumbs down. Sorry. That many miles on twisty/demanding roads I dont know in one day does not sound appealing to me. For me 250-300 is just right in order to enjoy the ride. This is not to say if we feel ambitious to take the longer way, I like to plan lightly enough that changes can be made while underway without having to rethink everything. Start time Sunday is early... Like 8 or 9 would be nice. That way we can get some miles in before lunch and have time to go on side routes and look at shit along the way. .................. |
