There are people who ride Buells who aren't on Badweb? They just don't know what they're missing!!

Met Mark today. Evidently Old Maple Hill is closed off right now due to floods. It'll be messed up for a few weeks, maybe a month, depends on the weather. |

We plan of meeting at New River HD @ 12:30pm. Anyone else interested? Southern - you didn't read far enough! Figured there was more traffic on the main section! There's no way we'd head to Jacksonville and not let you know!!

I know. As for Old Maple Hill becoming a Uly road, not unless you've modified that Uly to swim. I was told Hollands was also flooded. We could check it out. Where did ya'll plan on riding? |

No plans. Webe is think about a Uly and we are getting together and switching bikes for the day. It's a big decision and I thought I'd help.. Let's meet up and if the roads are bad to the south, we can head toward north around Richlands, Maysville, Pollocksville etc. |

Not a problem. I've been thinking about getting a Uly as my second bike. Of course it will be a little bit before that happens. We're hoping this job I interviewed for works out. |

Sportymark - I took the Blast out this morning. I gave you a call to see if you wanted to go, but it was early and I think you were asleep :-) |

Well,I did the dirty deed today and rode a ULY for the first time and got bit badddddd. If the 07 seat is as comfortable as they say it is then they might have a sale. After riding the Uly and then getting back on the Harley(Dyna)It just don't have the same feel of confidence that the Uly has.The ability to see over traffic added about 5sec of safety zone. The Buell(360lb) is definitely more nimble and quick to the throttle than the Harley(600lb)Dump truck. I still like the Harley but I have experienced the other side and now it is a matter of time ,opportunity and cash flow, (talking to John @ Sheltons) There is one particular phrase that keeps coming to mind "why the heck would you want to do it the way that everyone else does it?" Thanks Carlos Later Webe |

got the clutch cable, back from my labor day vacation. Trying to decide if I can fix the bike before a 10:15 class tomorrow. Anyone know how long the clutch replacement/transmission fluid change ought to take? |

Nutsnbolt & Cyclone - it was nice to put faces to names! Maybe next time we can get the children to Grammy's a little earlier and have more time out. Southern - got the e-mail with the little C3! The other guy at New River today, do you know his BadWeb username? I can't find the guy I remember being from Morehead. It's about to drive me crazy! Webe - You got bitten by the same bug that got Carlos and Jim Nance - the Ulybug!!! Got for the camo plastics!! |

Wes - I doubt it takes too long if you've done it before. But I suspect making the 10 oclock class is going to be iffy your first time. Do you need any help? I should be free after 4:30 today. |

Yea, it would probably be nice to have help even if it is straightforward, at least so I have less of the 'its going to break again in 5 minutes' feelings. |

When is good for you? I assume we need to do this at your place and I don't know where you live. Have you got tools? In particular a T27 Torx driver would come in handy :-) I've got one I can bring. Sportymark - Interested in seeing if I can remember what you showed me? |

Well, found another Buell rider here in Jacksonville. I stopped by Britt's to check on that Uly I mentioned to Carlos yesterday. It's taken. A service tech there, Brad, owns the Uly and used to own the Lightning Long they have for sale. They also have a City X. Both bikes are '05 models. Brad said that he can service bikes there, but the only thing that he cannot do right now is reset the TPS. Hopefully he will be able to purchase what he needs to get that done, that or hopefully their shop will purchase it for him. Come on Brad, we know you are reading so chime in here and introduce yourself. We want to invite you to join the crew. (Message edited by southernmarine on September 05, 2006) |

We got Wes'es clutch cable replaced this afternoon. Right as I was getting befuddled, Mark showed up. I was really glad to see him. My lesson for the day: Don't squirt brake cleaner in your eye. |

Forgot about this, but here is the info that I mentioned on Monday. If I recall, someone told me they used these and from the research I found, you can use these for auto gasoline. MSR Fuel Bottles If you do a search, you can find them just about anywhere. I'm pretty sure that I have seen them in stores as well. |

I rode the bike around for a bit today. It definantly feels different then it used to, for better or worse. It works really smoothly, but the way it engages is way different then it used to be. Guess its just the way a good clutch feels verses an about to die one. |
