Nuts, Just to add to Charlie's "spirit"... The Corsas are a lot softer than the "touring" rubber you are used to. Don't let the first impression fool you. When the Corsas are cold, they are COLD, and they will slide right out from under you. When they warm up, you can tell the difference, especially in the front. The actual rubber heats up first, but they aren't ready to "romp" yet. The air in the tire will warm up soon after, and will raise the tire pressure. On the track, I can feel this happen just about a half a lap in, and that's when I let her rip. On the street, it will take longer, and Jackie's 208's are likely not much different. That concludes tonights lesson. Tank |

So Tank are you in the market for a slightly used (200 miles) set of Corsa's? Due to recent financial constraints I might just have to part with my new unmounted acquisition. The thoughts of our impending vacation are dripping from my ears. I've got a trick or two up my sleeve for this trip! Have you had any luck selling out the Palace? Let's invite Mr. Erik Buell and Court Canfield. Now that'd be a full house! NUTS |

Charlie, That is pretty neat! I am working on acquiring a group of VERY rare tortoises that I have had my eye on for years. Looks like it is going to happen after all this time although at a pretty steep price (monetary and otherwise). |

Nuts, If you must unload them, I may be persuaded into talks of barely used corsas, but I would rather you have the peace of mind with them on your bike. Unless that pic of the Uly is a sign of your near future?? I've got a trick or two up my sleeve for this trip! Do tell, my friend. The anticipation of the trip is already driving me crazy, and you go and throw this out there....AAAAAAGH(pulling hair out) Gary(Jimduncan69) will be joining us on Sun and staying at least until Wed, though he was unable to recruit any more troops. If ya'll know anyone that might want to come out, let them know! At this point, I'm not worried about the financial end as things have fallen into place nicely, and I've been a good boy trying to avoid my usual SPS(sporradic purchase syndrome). But, the more, the merrier. Tank |

Well, my friend, that appears to be a brand new Uly! So who does it belong to, and when do they want it back? You really went and got yourself a Uly? Congrats, dude! That Rawks! Better get her broken in before the trip. Back to the Corsas...since the dude won't be mounting them, is he cuttin' you a break? Tank |

I already paid $200 with free mounting when I need em changed. So I guess I could take $20 off as that's what the dude charges for mounting. I'd like to see them go to someone who can use em. As for the Uly, it'll be needing those dualsport tires for its entire life. The wife is already cranked about the singletrack running through the front yard. NUTS'll be puttin in excess of 200 miles on tomorrow rain or shine. Off to work I go the Uly bill will be due before I know it. |

I changed my fluids at 500, and they needed it bad. You gonna' have the 1k done before the trip? Not that much involved, really. We could do it in a couple hours with a couple beers at the mountain. You bring the oil, I'll bring the beer. We can call it "tech night" since I need a tps reset on the new race ecm. I'll match what you paid for the tires. Bring them to the mountain, if you have room. I know Jackie will pack for a months stay. Tank |

Now I need to drop my bomb since it is definitly going to happen. I will indeed be getting the animals I so desperately wanted. The bad news, I will be going to get them instead of going to the Dragon. Tank, PM me your email address. I will mail you the TPS software and cables. Once they get to you give me a call and I'll walk you through it. I know it sucks but with the acquisition of these 3 it will effectively give me the largest breeding group in private hands. I just can't pass up the opportunity.

The bags for NUTS' Uly will be in Friday. I'll be loading up to leave either 9/9 or 9/10 depending when you plan to arrive Tank. I'll have the tires strapped to the bike and all the fixins for a week of Dragon touring. This has turned into a solo mission. I am bummed that my good friend Jackie is unable to attend but quite interested in showing up on the new bike having ridden it into town. When life gives you lemons why not make margarita's! Tank are you going to be taking along a laptop? If so I can bring the software and cables down as well. Jackie does not trust his laptop in my sidecases. Maybe it's my tendencies to find the mud and leave it caked on for months at a time. Gone sleeping. NUTS |

Dang Jackie, that does suck. I guess you gotta' do what you gotta' do. Bummer. I have been privy to the early planning stages of another trip to the Dragon in the spring. I'll keep you informed. I don't blame you for not wanting to strap the laptop on the bike. If Nuts wouldn't mind bringing the stuff to the mountain, I'll bring my computer, no problem. It's basically a "black box" and a flat lcd monitor = easy to transport. Thanks for the hook-up. So Nuts, Does this change your plans significantly? Still planning to stay until Friday? I will be leaving here about 7am on Sun 9/10, with an ETA of about 4-4:30pm. First order of business after the long trip will be to unload the bike, and find a cold one. It may be possible to convince me to take the long way home through your neck of the woods to pick up the tires, if you don't want to pack them on the bike. I can even lay-over at pop's cabin site near covington for the night if need be, since I have not even seen the place yet. We can work out the details later. Tank |

Just like I said making Rocks Margarita's after being dealt lemons. I'll probably head out Sun am @ 6:00. Supposed to meet Pop @ noon. Once I fit the bags I'll see how Jed Clampet we look with the tires strapped on. That'd be a shot for Killboy! Hey I was about to unload my black CRG lever in the classifieds. If you want it add $50 to the tires. It makes a world of difference and you can even try before you buy! NUTS

Jackie, I feel terrible that you aren't going to slay the dragon with us. After all, I believe it was you who turned me onto this trip. I'll do my best to capture images of Nuts at his worst for ya, and whatever else might we happen upon. Nuts Sorry, dude. Have to pass on the lever. The stock levers are fine for now, BUT, when I do upgrade, I'm looking at the ISR radial front master cylinder and matching clutch lever from Trojan.(it wouldn't let me link to the page for some reason) Maybe one day....(hey, a guy can dream) Tank |

Sounds good, away to the classifieds. NUTS Jackie, I stopped by your house, gave Cindy a wave, pulled off the helmet and sent you a ring. No show, everything alright buddy? You'll be glad to know the Uly now has 125 miles, at least 50 of those are in the rain! |

Jim, I broke my Lightning in exactly as specified and it burned oil. I'm being a bit less gentle with the Uly. It has seen 4k but for only a brief second. I am truly loving this bike and I've only begun to tap its potential. I seem to keep finding myself offroad. The true test will be when I make my solo trek to the Dragon. I've ridden 422 miles on the Lightning before, I'm hoping the Uly will eat that record up without any issues. This bike certainly puts events like MB4 within reach. I'll be getting the wifey on when we reclaim our helmet and accumulate a bit of gear for her. If I hurt my wife I think my family will disown me! So no real adventures til we get her properly sorted. Good on ya for insisting on the gear! I wear jeans some but ALWAYS wear helmet, jacket, boots, and gloves. I have a map with some of the hundreds of miles of gravel/dirt trails near the Gap, if you're feelin' up for it. Hell, I might even try to make chase on my Low. Cause I'm crazy like that. Tank |

I'm hoping the Uly will eat that record up without any issues. I've been very pleased with mine in that regard. Before the Uly, my longest trip was 300 miles on an M2 Cyclone. It was very cold and I was a much less experienced rider, but 300 miles was longer than I wanted to be on that bike. My longest trek on the Uly was 750 miles. I got up, rode to the Dragon, and rode home. I think I was on the bike 18 hours that day. The last 100 miles sort of sucked, but the first 650 were great. I could never have done that on the Cyclone. I've done several other long trips. Went to the Daytona 200 last March. Went to Roanoke. Went to Shady Valley & Deals Gap just 2 weeks ago. The 750 trip was the longest, and it opened up some new possibilities. It means I can go visit my brother in NYC, or if I'm cold this winter, I can ride down to Flordia. Or swing down to TWO. |

Tank, That girl is around 13 inches and weighs right at 10 pounds. Me and the wife will be leaving next Friday if he can't arrange shipping through Delta. I will have my laptop with me so you and Nuts can still call and I can walk you through the TPS reset. Nutso, Day after tomorrow brutha and it is on. Looks like with the rain we may have a truly spectacular opening day! Best save yourself one or two pinches of snuff out of that last can HEHEHEHE!! Jim, Ride on down there man!
