It was a fun to ride with you all. And it's always an adventure. For those of you who weren't there, we rode down this long twisty section of road, and it just keeps getting narrower. I don't think you could drive two cars by each other on it w/o bumping mirrors. All of a sudden I notice that there is grass growing through the road. Not just a little grass like you sometimes see poking through cracks. This stuff is 4 inches tall and needs to be mowed and it's all over the place. I'm thinking "where do they find these roads?" But they were fun roads. I was the slowest of the bunch. When I'd pull up to a stop sign, Mike and Jim would start their bikes bike up and continue on. Most of the time I couldn't see them. Which was interesting considering we were out in the middle of nowhere. At some point I started wondering how I'd get home if I missed a turn. And then all of a sudden we poped out in Troy, NC. I've no idea how. |

Brankin - You don't think Jim from Shelton's was talking about this bike do you? He said an White S1, but how many mid-nineties Buells with less than 50 miles can be around. |

When it rains it pours... I got a call today that the cylinders for my S2 are done... Too bad I am a little pre-occupied with what arrived yesterday:
I know it is pretty hard to tell, but which one do you think I polished tonight? Since I am past ready for a new front tire and will be needing a new rear tire before much longer I decided to keep my eyes open on ebay for a take off set of V-Rod wheels. Including shipping from CA. I got this set (both wheels, both stock Dunlop tires, all 3 Nissin rotors, the compensator housing and the compensator rubber) for less than I could have bought a new set of Metzelers. If it weren't so damn hot (at 10:00 still...) when I got done polishing I would've swapped the front out tonight. With a second set of wheels, tire changes will be a breeze now. What a SCREAMIN' deal! 1313 |

Cool, that's the spirit! the rain. ANYBODY-does anyone have a picture of the tube frame lightning that resembles the picture that Jim posted of me. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=37&post=698786#POST69 8786 I need it to be similar in style, got a little art project going on. Email it to me please. I also need something of the R1200 and even Erik's 1st race bike, I believe it was the 750. JIM |

Knock knock, is this thing on? Jim- sounds like you liked it. I have been hesitant about going to see it, I believe Paul Walker really made the 1st two. But if you say go, I'll have to go see it. |

What was your opinion Mark, theater or DVD? |

In the first movie at least they did not try and make me believe a Supra could take on a Supercharged Hemi Charger. Of course since the antagonist was in the Charger they wrecked and killed him. |

DVD, but I am biased, i worked for 8 years in the performance car industry both selling parts and for about 4 year campaigning a drag/street car, and I will admit I have done my fair share of street racing(I know it's wrong but so is speeding down curvy backroads ) And the scenes out of the F&F series are so "movie" it ain't even funny, i hang out with alot of the local performance shop mechanics still and it is always funny to see their reaction to the movies... On another note went out for a late night ride to avoid the boiling temps...still getting used to the new dunlop tire, not nearly as nice as the Avon I had but, it was free...when I was on 40 I heard a rattle, thing my beltguard is hitting my right side shock....but i will survive. |

DVD It's at the $1.50 theatre right now, so it's cheaper to see it in the theater than rent it. Assuming you don't buy any popcorn. But I didn't want to watch so much as I wanted to listen. And thats a definit win in the theatre. |

When I saw this image, I thought it was me. What do you see when you look at it?
It also reminded me of what my tattoo artist buddy, Undertaker - and his wife Mortician, gave me. Since you can't turn your monitor upside down as easily as you can rotate a piece of paper I will give you both views. View A:
View B:
Which view do you think I prefer? Muwhahahaha, 1313 |

Okay, I am in that mid-season bike service thing. The M2 needs brake pads so I decide to do ahead and change the carrier for the brake rotor which has been rattling for almost a year now. So I rig the bike up and get the front wheel off and now I can not get the screws holding the carrier to the wheel to break loose. I just snapped an allen wrench trying to break the first screw loose, so now I have do go to plan B. Any ideas what plan B should be? I was going to do the Uly 10,000 mile service but since the kick stand recall and I have a clutch cable that does not feel right, to the dealer it must go. So here I will soon not have either bike unless I give up trying to change out the carrier on the M2 and just put the new pads on the bike and go. |
