I have such a good time last night!! BA, glad to see you on the bike again. Glitch, Lightning Dave, and S_B...never a lack of stimulating conversation OR sound effects. Medved1, or "Sugar Daddy" as I know will call you, glad you could make it. And Smokescreen, always a pleasure being your backpack. |

P.S. I'm definitely up for some riding Sunday. P.P.S. Smokescreen, it turns out the Uly comes from the factory with frame pucks. The factory pegs are also pretty damn comfortable. They're much wider than the other XB pegs. If I get some time tomorrow, I'll drop by and exchange the pucks and pegs I bought for the tall windscreen. |

Thanks Bambi.... We'll see what pans out next week. The bike broke down today on l'ville suwanee Rd. I was in third gear and it just cut off. No engine light came on, it just died and no power at all. The dealer replaced the batt' and stater in early Feb' or March. I called the wife and she brought her truck for a small fee. I told her I'd work it off in trade. HA! HA! I called SMHD and Greg in service said they could look at it on the 7th. I ask about saturday and thats its 1st come 1st served. He said thats for service stuff. The bike broke down and left me on the side off the road, it needs some fixed. Cameron is good... but he can't do everyones job. |

Shred, you can bring the bike in on Saturday. I don't know how many folks will be there for the 1st come, 1st served, but we can usually work on about 15 to 20 bikes on a Saturday, depending on the work they need. |

ok this is total BS Just did the 5000 service and ran great for a whole half day. now during hard braking it cuts off and won't restart until i reset the on off and also I parked it in the garage for a while after i rode today and now she won't start. has power turns over but the engine will not fire. might be a spark plug. help please!!!!! this is SH!!t of bull as my seven eleven friednd would say. OH and found out that when the did the service the didn't even tighten down the battery cables. I wondered why my lights kept changing intensity on me yesterday. Fixed that little problem though.. |

Hey Sancheez, are your going to keep those handguards? I sure could use the left one. If you are, that's cool, I would recommend that anyway. If you don't like them, I'll gladly work a deal with you. Bike looks real good man. I prefer the orange. |

Clown, My non-Buell tech buddy stopped by and found the Main fuse under the seat was blown. I'm going to replace it first and hope that it was just a freak thing. Thanks Charlie for the service call, I hope you liked the diner. I'll PM you if you'd like to know the conversation I had with service. Its no big thing, I'm use to the whole service treatment thing. I didn't pull a 'RAMBO' and post everything that was said because you have always went the extra mile with helping us Buellers out. It will be in the shop soon anyway.I let Brian ride my bike on thursday because the trans is still having 2nd to 3rd gear shifting problems and sometimes drops out on 3rd. Its been doing that since before march demos. I've been speed shifting to get by, Brian said the same thing when he road it. They did some warranty stuff and I also I "paid" for some adjustments.... it didn't fix it. Brian said he knows what the problem is and needs it for a week for some serious work. Needs to split the case. Thanks Clown... Put anyone in the "CLOWN CHOKE HOLD" lately? |

There are 2 recalls on the Uly: 1. For the Kick Stand - bolts breaking..bike falling over. 2. Tall Uly Wind Screen - flying off while riding. I think they are simply replacing the bottom to posts with bolts. There are a couple of threads in the Big, Bad & Dirty forum. HTH |

Kdan: lmao! That's going on myspace. I am keeping the handguards, though I'm thinking about taking them off for the summer. Medved: If the bike's turning over but not starting, you're either not getting fuel or not getting spark. It's probably not a plug unless both of them went out at once. Can you hear your fuel pump come on when you turn the key? Are all your fuses intact? The cutting off during hard braking thing sounds like a loose wire somewhere. Maybe this is a dumb question, but how much gas is in the bike? Maybe your fuel light went out. Gamdh: Clown says the new kickstand parts ship on the 31st. Are the new windshield parts already available? B_s: I worked out a trade deal on the Cobra. I found a guy with a nice Silver 2001 Lightning who wanted a Cobra instead, and we're just swapping loans. He's bringing the truck down to Atlanta the last weekend in August.

Haven't seen a definitive answer, but as both recalls came out about the same time I would think they would be out soon. |
