I would like to inquire, if any of the other 3c would be interested in doing some long range planning on Daytona '07. Heres my end, I have a week in a time share resort over in Olrando that I pay for every year, and seldom use. Owning the "week" gives me Certain "privlidges"(sp) (all for a "nominal fee") I can visit [ stay at ]other resorts in the system and or go at different times. Also for a "nominal fee" Because of the location of my "home resort" as I understand it I have trading power (they say)and may, subject to availibility Be able to get accomodations in Daytona for race week, at a nice resort. How ever it should be done well in advance so the schedual must be set in advance too I will personaly spend about 600$ for the anual home resort fees and the membership to RCI on top of it, I will ask for help with transfer / use fees beyond that these split several ways are small. I need info on when the '07 week starts and ends with group preferences for arrival /departure, I was thinking about on the beach accomodations. Weeks generaly run fri to fri or sat to sat a single day can be added some times for reasonable cost too (depending on resort this too must be booked in advance) Depending on resort accoms run 4 persons 2+2 to 3br 8~10 persons links to follow . |

I'm in. I have gone the last two years and want to go in 07. I definitely want to spend more time next year. The three day jaunts are fun but not enough time to see the race and main street. I doubt I will go for an entire week though since I have to save up some of my vacation time for family vacations. I was thinking four to five days. |

Bigdaddy - can you move the Daytona '07 thread to our adventure folder so it doesn't go into archives? Thanks, Kristi |

Heres' the latest I called RCI and got paid up. I have requested 2 bedrooms sleeping 6-8 in Daytona (or with in 30 miles ) Dates Mar 2 - 11 as you might guess no rooms in Daytona, I have been but on a wait list for accomidations on the requested dates. later in the year some folks will bank the time I will be notified, here are the likely resorts Check them on the RCI site. Atlantic Terrace FairField resort Fantasy Isle Beach Club Fantasy Island Resort II These are out a few miles (~30) Georgian resort [Palm Coast] The Harbor Club [Deland] stay tuned.... WE ARE ON ITS DONE! I can have 4 guests but... please read before responding..} Particulars: Hotel: Holiday Inn Express 930 N Atlantic Ave Daytona, city view. 5 to the room 2 queen size beds, a roll away is available for 10$ night for the #5 person We would have to double up 2 to a bed for 4 I used points I have accumulated over the years so other than a roll away, meals, gas and stuff the room is free.. time table: The room is booked 9th to the 11th I will return home leaving Monday. I anticipate 1 LONG day transite on the coastal highways from Wilmington I want to avoid I 95 due to congestion and tire issues. I expect confirming paperwork later today Now who do I contact for the race tickets? PM me if you are interested. |

I am working on my '07 Schedule. Limited vacation time so I have to make sure if I am going and what days. I like the coastal highway idea. I really hate I-95. Too many trailer queens trying to go too fast. I wander how long it would take going down US-17 or alike? (Message edited by M2nc on November 25, 2006) |

That may be worth a little extra time not having to dodge the traffic, I have not called the program yet, I hope that there will be a little feed back first.trying to determine who is going and who is not able to go. |
