Hey Mike. Yes and yes at Autobahn. Speedy's also in there. That ride back from WI was a blast. After my entrance to I-90 was closed I followed the detour signs only to have traffic on 90 standing dead still. I kept riding random back roads towards the city until I found a way onto 90 with traffic moving, then smooth sailing the rest of the way. GPS would have been good there too. Can't make Union Grove tonight, too bad because the weather will be perfect. Hope Fiery and the rest will be there on the 22nd. |

Greg, You now walk 1.5 X 2 miles per day......sadly, you are already in better shape than me. But can you jump....HA. I also see you have wisely scheduled rehab activities AFTER your Caribbean vacation.......you wouldn't want rehab to get in the way of a good time. Have fun and get better soon. |

Greg- Heal up and have a great time in Jamaica. See you soon. Regarding drag racing this Thursday June 22: Where: http//www.harleyshootout.com/directions.htm FAQ's: http://www.greatlakesdragaway.com/index.php?page=faq I'm told that you'll need: helmet, leather jacket, gloves, boots and jeans if running over 9 seconds, leather pants if faster (I doubt any of us will need leather pants) Admission is $12 and racing in "fun run" class is an additional $25. This class is for fun only with no eliminations, prizes, etc. Doors open at 5:30 and at the last shootout they raced till around 11:00. I'm told that if we get there around 8:00 we should still get 4 or 5 runs in. I want to leave from the city as early as possible without getting stuck in traffic. 6:30? Maybe earlier? There will probably be a bunch of other Buellers up there that we'll be able to pit near. Is anybody else interested in doing this? Call me or post with any questions, I'll post more as I know it. |

Guys, Bad news. I had an accident last night. Coming back from watching the game, a guy pulls out in front of me. Luckily, I saw him and instincts took over. Unfortunately, the ZTLs worked better than advertised. I did something that I could probably never duplicate, a stoppie. Either way, I stopped about foot away from this guy in the middle of the fricking lane. Once the bike came back down, I ended up laying it on its side. Snapped the front brake lever and scratched the rear axle and the are on the swing arm around the axle. Guess those axle sliders would have come in handy there. The cop that showed up on the scene said that I would be better off if I had hit him. He said he couldn't write the accident report up as an accident, because the guy yielded to the oncoming traffic. Now that really sucks. At any rate, I'm ok, just need a front brake lever. If anyone knows where I can find one PM me. |

Troy that really sucks- Seems like you came through it a lot better than your bike, and that's something to be thankful for. Can't see why actually hitting the car would have been better.....so you can make an insurance claim and replace your front fork??? You probably would have been hurt then...not to mention higher insurance premiums....that cop's perspective doesn't seem right to me. Glad to hear you're okay. For anyone interested in drag racing Thursday night: Kickstands up at my place at 6:00 Kickstands up at Lake Forest oasis on I-94 at 7:15 Call me and leave a message if you plan on meeting up at the oasis. Troy, Glad you are OK. That does suck regarding liability (or lack of it). Aside from cosmetics damage, it sounds like your bike will come through without structural problems. I always felt that Buell's crash pretty good, based on my unfortunate previous experiences. |

I agree....Drag racing was TOO MUCH FUN!!! Everyone should do it at least once. My first time racing too, 7 passes with my best time being 13.311sec at 101.92mph. What a blast! I know my bike is capable of mid to upper 12's with a little fine tuning and some practice. It was also fun hanging out with other Buellers that we met at Homecoming, Crud Run, etc. If that's not enough it was cheaper than I thought, only $25 to get in AND race. I'll definitely be back there soon! |
